This button that looks like a jig saw bit will not budge.

Can I delete this in about:config by deleting the 'unified extention button' and can I delete the 'HKLM/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/Mozilla/Firefox/Extensions' in the registry?

Firefox these days is getting a burden with more info and such like being collected behind out backs, it's about to be ditched on all my computers, the last few episodes make me want out.

Dave.

When I try to install an officially signed add-on by dragging and dropping it into the browser, Firefox prompts that the file is corrupted. However, when I directly copy the file to the browser/extensions directory, the browser disables the add-on as untrusted. How can I properly install a signed extension in Firefox version 50.0b2? I can confirm that the extension works correctly when temporarily loaded (via temporary installation), but it fails to install after being officially signed.

All of my Simple Tabs Group (STGs) tabs were reset in Firefox to 0. I had not cleaned them up in a while & had from 5 to 40 tabs saved in each of the 12 Groups created. In the past, I have had the problem of unknowingly opening a 2nd browser window (with no tabs open) & then closing my 1st (main) window before the empty one after I finished working, but I have always be able to recover one of my main tab screens. All of my other tab groups were still listed & available under the Simple Tabs Group logo beside the currently open web site address on the tabs bar (just below the top line of the open & available web sites). This time after I clicked the STGs icon, all of my Simple Tabs Group label names are still listed, but the number of tabs shown for each label shows "0". They have all been deleted. Does anyone know how I can recover this info??? I have regularly use Windows 10 bkup. Is W10 just in the process of a slow death?? It's certainly very bad time (Apr, '25) to need to buy a new PC with all Trump's tariffs.

Hello, I hope you are well. I have been using Firefox for some time, but I am currently experiencing an issue with the extensions. I am currently using version 123, but I have not been able to find a way to update to include the new root certificates, which I believe are needed by these extensions.

I have tried reinstalling using Pacman (only installing v123), compiling from source using Yay (which unfortunately did not work), using Flatpak (also only installing v123), and even from the sources (which partially worked).

I would be happy to provide further details if required. I hope you have a good day.

Already tried this:

Open about:config: Type about:config in the Firefox address bar and press Enter.
Accept the warning: If prompted, click on "Accept the Risk and Continue".
Search for browser.tabs.unloadOnLowMemory: In the search bar, type browser.tabs.unloadOnLowMemory.
Set the value to false: Double-click the preference to change its value from true to false.

Also already tried making a distribution folder. I want snooze tabs off. Thanks!
