Hi all,

My Thunderbird got updated automatically to version 115.4.61. But after the update, it is not working correctly. I used to have an inbox folder, under which I had all inbox folders from all my accounts. And this was done automatically, by thunderbird, I didn't created it.

But after the update, this inbox folder is empty. The only way to see mails is to go to the inbox folder within each account.

How to restore the normal behaviour?

During the upgrade to Thunderbird 115, my Gmail inbox disappeared under the unified Inbox folder at the top. I can find my Roadrunner accounts listed under the Inbox folder, but to get to my Gmail inbox, I have to go down the pane to the listed accounts, where all of the Gmail folders appear, including the inbox. I want all of my inboxes to appear under the Inbox folder at the top, just like the Thunderbird version I upgraded from. My Gmail account uses IMAP so that it works with Thunderbird.

I download a file. It stops and speaks of a security risk. The website is https, but the file is http. Is there a location I can pre-approve all files from the url to override the objection? Thanks.

I have the latest version of Thunderbird and I just cannot get use to the aesthetic of it. It seems busy and cluttered. I would like to downgrade and found a website with older versions but when I start installation it is not in English.

Is there a legit place to download older versions of Thunderbird or even a skin that would make the current version look like an older one?

Hello I noticed that I still use thunderbird 32bit, if I download and install over it thunderbird 64bit will it keep everything from the 32bit version? (accounts, offline folders etc)

As question https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1333063 was archived before a helpful reply was posted, this is a bump. @MattAuSupport asked about the signer of the aus.thunderbird.net website, I provided the signer details along with the fingerprint, and the thread went cold and got archived. Thunderbird will still not update automatically, Firefox has no problems.

I have had this issue before and uninstalling and reinstalling has fixed it in the past. Today when I opened firefox it prompted me to update , which I did without thinking. Subsequently, it stopped working. I have tried: restarting my PC, running in troubleshooting mode( it wouldn't even open when I tried this), uninstalling and reinstalling using the internet installer, uninstalling and reinstalling using the offline installer ( tried on multiple hard drives, so I don't think hardware failure is the issue), installing an older version of fire fox, and installing the 32 bit version instead of the 64 bit version. The attached images show what displays upon trying to launch firefox. nothing loads, not typing an address into the search bar, not clicking on a bookmark, the only UI element that will display is the 3 horizontal line setting menu.

I have no decent words for the people who have allowed a reduction of items (e.g. a maximum of two emails) in the local Address Book. But it's happened and there's nothing I can do about it. My goal is to preserve as much information as possible without having to manually check every contact (about 1500) Current situation: - Thunderbird 91.2.1 Address Book - continuously updated, but with loss of some contact fields - Google Contact containing all fields (luckily gContactSync probably stopped working) but out of date (missing some new contacts and changes to existing ones) Target: - Thunderbird with CardBook add-on (vCard 4.0) - Nextloud for sharing contacts across my all devices (Linux including mobile) Any idea how to achieve this and not do unnecessary work?

Today using Firefox 93.0 on my Windows 10 home computer I opened the browser to my Audible library on Audible.com and selected a book to download. The browser download window opened with the book file name but the extension wasn't .AAX but had been changed to .MP4. This did not happen when I used Microsoft Edge nor did this happen on my Windows 10 laptop which was still running Firefox 92.0. Once Firefox upgraded to 93.0 on my laptop I now get the same problem as I get on my home computer.

Audible technical support looked into the problem and found that this change wasn't caused by their servers.

I have discovered that if I change the file extension from MP4 to AAX I can load the audible book into iTunes and sync it over to my iPhone which is able to play the file as an audible book. This indicates to me that the actual AAX file was not converted to MP4. For some reason only the file extension was changed.

I wasn't able to find any setting in the Firefox browser that corrected this problem.

When I try to open any PDF file, I have to Browse to find my pdf viewer (Flexipdf). I do that and also check your "Save this for future" option. Every time I try to open a pdf after that I still have to go through all the Browse steps. I also set up Flexipdf in your Settings and it just gets ignored.

I have a fresh installation of my Macbook OS, and a fresh Mozilla Firefox installation. I would like to re-import my old passwords and log ins, but it seems that the new version of the browser doesn't have that option unfortunately. I can see only Import from Other Platforms options, but not import from file or similar.

I have .csv file, but no option of how to import in into my browser.

I would appreciate help on this one. Thank you in advance.

I created my own Add-On, and set checkmarks for "Desktop" and "Mobile" add-on. I am able to install it on FF on Android - Smartphone version 94.1.2 (Galaxy S8). I am UNABLE to install it on FF on Android - Tablet version 94.1.2 (Huawei Mediapad).

How can I install my Add-On "FROM FILE" (.xpi) on my Tablet? Thanks for your help to get this done.

I am looking for a new email service provider, and Proton mail seems to always be near the top of the list. Searching Thunderbird support yields only help from a year or more ago. How well do proton and Thunderbird mesh currently?

I have been able to move my profiles and Thunderbird is working correctly. However, I cannot find/get my local folders (the TB equivalent of a PST file) to move to my new system so I can still have access to all those save emails and records. I have searched here and cannot find a clear answer on how to get those files moved. Any help (please dub it down a little for me :) is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Configuration: macOS 10.5.7 / Thunderbird 91.3.2

I cannot add an additional Gmail account to Thunderbird for macOS (I have already one Gmail account in Thunderbird since many years, along with a couple of other email accounts). The new account setup starts out fine, but when clicking onto "Done" after putting in email address and password a new window opens where I am asked again to put in my email address. When I do this and then click "Next" the same window opens again, is empty, and asks again for an email address - and this can be repeated forever. See attached screenshot.

There is no problem to add this email address as an additional Gmail address to Apple Mail.

Is there a fix for this?

I'm trying to move TBird from my Macbook Air to my iMac. I've followed the directions in the " Moving Thunderbird Data to a New Computer " FAQ, but when I start TBird it still asks me to set everything up from scratch. I've deleted Tbird from the iMac and installed it fresh before copying the Thunderbird folder from the Air to the iMac. This doesn't help. What could be going wrong? Why does Tbird act like it doesn't see the profile I copied over from the Macbook Air?
