I performed a clean install of windows 11 and forgot to back up my POP account. Is there anyway to recover my contacts? anything in addition to that would be great. But it was a POP account. I am willing to buy the recovery software or pay someone to get this back. Thanks

I downloaded Thunderbird to my new laptop and all my emails appeared - thank goodness! However my contacts and their email addresses did not appear. How do I do that without entering all my contacts manually? Thank you, I am a rookie! Jane

Where are the address books for version 143?

I have installed TB on a new computer using Win 11. I have managed to get all my old emails imported, but the address book is missing. All I have found are abook.mab.bak and history.mab.bak.

I have managed to keep ALL of my data on a separate drive from the root drive, C:, so that I can lose Windows , or any of my executable programs, without losing my data, and would like to continue the practice.

I have seen the answer about the address books being in a folder xxxxxx.default in the C:\users\... folder, but I can't see any files there.

Any help will be appreciated.

I recently had to upgrade my computer to a Dell Optiplex 5070 to be ready for Windows 11 next month...

When I got it back home and reinitiated Thunderbird all seemed well... All my email repopulated, along with all my Archived email from the past 6 years... The only issue is my Address Book is still completely empty now and hasn't repopulated... Please tell me there's an easy solve...

Trying to make group lists from address book in Thunderbird and nothing I find on-line makes any sense to me, not applicable to the latest version of Tbird or what. Need someone to walk me through.

Using the Thunderbird app on Mac OS, I would like to remove an email. The email address has been changed. How do I edit the contact/prediction? I understand this is related to collected addresses but I cannot find that either. Thanks!

I copied addresses to address book which tells me that over 400 items are there but they are not visible. I can delete these invisible addresses one by one even though there is nothing there if I go to edit. How can I make these addresses visible, or what can i do to get rid of them and start over.

I have an excel spread sheet with names and related email addresses. I would like to import the names and related email addresses into an address book in Thunderbird. I have set up a new address book to receive the import. I have saved the Excel file in CSV format. However when I import the data from my Excel spreadsheet the only data that transfer is the email address and not the associated name. How do I successfully import both the name and the associated email address?

I installed the latest version of Thunderbird. It can handle Google contacts without any add-ons, but it doesn't show me contact groups. Is there a way to display them? The CardBook I used before showed them.

Step #4 of the instructions say Select Contacts: In the bottom - left corner, click gear icon and Select All. Step #5 Export as vCard: Click the gear icon again and select vCard to download a .vcf file of your contacts. The "Select All" transcript in #4, doesn't occur and I'm unable to download contacts file. I've also tried downloading from my iPhone with negative results. What might I be doing wrong. I hoping to et answer to my issue.

I am running 32 bit version of Thunderbird I believe is 128 on a windows 10 Pro. The problem is the computer address book is completely messed up. I know I can export the distributions list which is well over 100+ in length. Is there way to do this so I can cleanly sort them into example:

Users-Ads Business Partners Professionals

  Chiropractors
  Nurses
  Medical Dr's

I currently have 12 different email addresses that are different businesses The Address Books don't make any sense at all.

So there a way I can go thru Thunderbird Address book or sent emails for email business so I can cleanly sort this out.

The person who set it all up passed away and the computer is owned by my sister who is now running the business.

Trying to figure out a good way to get all this put together where it would make better sense. It is really overwhelming. She only wants to send ads out maybe once a week or 2 maybe even a month.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Also have a complete folder nightmare where inbox and other folders have nested folders as well to sort out.

Appreciate any thoughts on the above and thanks for your time.
