Issue with POP email downloading on only one email account - usa.net

OK, so I have 4 different emails on my Thunderbird account. I get the most email from my usa.net (Netaddress.com) account, but that has never been an issue -- as my inbox gets huge I just move the contents into a dated archive.

I have already looped back to the people at usa.net and all of my settings are correct.

Here is the issue: Out of nowhere, a few months ago, when I tried to download my USA.net email, it would stop after 100-200 emails. Also, it would NOT "register back" to USA.net and show the downloaded items as "gone" (I checked my settings; I am NOT leaving email on the USA.net server).

I even tried deleting a ton of emails on the USA.net server side via webmail, and it still just stops after 200 messages max. I then need to dump out what was downloaded to another folder or I get the error below (see upload).

I hadn't changed anything on my settings when this started. USA.net DID start a requirement several months ago RE using SSL, but I didn't have problems when I initially made the switch.

Help, please! When it stops downloading I either get no message, or I sometimes get the message shown.

How to fix please? Again, this is the ONLY email account that I have this problem with; if some kind of "limit" was being hit it wouldn't be letting me download from other accounts, including my "business" email (basically I use USA.net for all of my newsletters, online purchases, etc).

Ok I know this has been asked before but I can't find a way to fix this. When I click on ANY link in an email or even the menus, not even the help menu works, I get a "no app associated" error. My file associations for .htm, .html, http, https are all set in the default apps in windows. I can click on an email address and it works just not any other type link. This is in version 144.

hello Suddenly 2 days ago, when opening Thunderbird, I have a message saying : the connection from the server imap failed with the user name name@neuf.fr I tried twice to re-install Thunderbird and I also tried twice to change my password : neither was successfull But when I go to internet on the sfr mail site, the connection is successful... A search showed that others have experienced this same error message, but as far as I can tell, they all were unable to access their email. These messages began appearing about a month ago. They pop up in Troubleshooting Mode. They did not in Windows Safe Mode. AVG and ZoneAlarm are not the culprits.

maybe once per day, sometimes more or less, i get the 'login to server failed' with the option to retry. the retry always works, usually the first time, but sometimes requires another retry. this apparently started happening after an update, because it never happened before a few months ago. i figured another update would fix the issue, but nothing has changed yet. j

is there a retry setting somewhere that i'm missing?
