143.1 updated onto my app this morning and now the app refuses to load. It opens for a second and sometimes begins to show the browsing interface and then it immediately crashes. All subsequent attempts to open the app have failed. I've deleted and reinstalled the app and restarted my phone and that has not fixed the issue.

Why is Firefox crashing so often? What changed? Is there something I need to do to prevent his? Once or twice a week or sometimes a day, but It seems to crash when I am just in my Gmail, sometimes 4 or 5 times an hour. Is Chrome a better option?

When logged into a synched account, my Firefox for iOS has been crashing for 2 days. iOS version 18.7.1. First started when I attempted to send a page from my iMac desktop to my iphone. It didn't send, so I attempted again. Still didn't work. Firefox for iOS started crashing when attempting to open a new tab. Then it progressed to crashing whenever I attempt to open Firefox. I then proceeded to:

• Restart phone
• Dump all cache & cookies etc. in iOS Firefox
• Remove iOS Firefox and install new version

However, whenever I sign back into my synched account, the crashing starts again.

So for now just staying signed out of Firefox for iOS, and it's working fine. Hoping this gets fixed somehow in the future, future, future...

When compacting local folder in thunderbird I get error message ( The folder trash on local folders could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space [which I do] ,and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again.) and nothing will work on thunderbird afterward.

I use Thunderbird 128.5.2esr with xubuntu 24.04.

All of a sudden (I haven't changed anything) thunderbird hangs completely after a few minutes running. The process does not react at all, I have to kill it. Thunderbird process is then stuck on 100% load.

Already testet (with no success):

• Troubleshooting Mode with deactivated Addons
• Disabled Global Indexing (with deleting global-messages-db.sqlite file)
• Waiting for 20min (in case thread/process is running a long time)
• Reboot OS

I have no idea what the issue is. Does anyone have ideas? Thx, Hugo

Hello, when I start Thunderird, it appears for a few seconds and then a window pops up saying that a crash has been detected. I've already tried reinstalling the program, creating new profiles, entering Safe Mode, etc. Restoring an older profile from a backup doesn't help, and the error remains the same.

I tried transferring data from the old profile to the new one (a new, clean profile doesn't cause the error), but unfortunately, the data isn't visible in the program, along with the pgp keys and everything else. Manually editing prefs.js using chatgpt didn't help.

What else can I do?

Win 11 and Thunderbird 140 not working and I have tried all the things I found on the internet and none of them work. I have tried cleaning my registry and deleted directories and uninstalled thunderbird re-started and it will still not work.

I guess I have to forget thunderbird. It is a shame.

When I press a hotkey that involves Ctrl (ie. opening a new Tab via Ctrl+T or closing one via Ctrl+W) Ctrl sometimes remains stuck until I press it again. This will cause issues ie. when I open a new tab and try to type a new address (or search term), and Ctrl causes new hotkeys to be executed.

I've even tried launching firefox with a new profile, and on safe mode (firefox --safe-mode -p <something-else-than-usual>), so no bookmarks, cookies or extensions should be causing this, and it will still happen sometimes. The annoying part is that this seems to be an issue with performance. It happens less-often with the empty profile and safe mode, but it still happens, especially if I had just opened a new page some tab, causing the most minute thing for firefox to process.

The problem is probably not the computer specs either (below my specs). Indeed, from what I can tell, firefox does not even seem to function particularily slow in any case. Just this ctrl being stuck seems to happen.

I have also tried disabling hardware-acceleration (and explicitly enabling it), no effect.

Other interesting facts I've discovered: - This for sure does not happen in other programs and - This does not happen with the Ctrl for all the keybinds within firefox. For example, Ctrl+A (for select all) does not trigger this

My GPU is the integrated GPU on the Intel U7-155H CPU. When some AVC videos are played, the browser reacts extremely slow and the video image is glitched and at a really low rate of frame, and the video decoding engine seemed to be 100% occupied as shown in the task manager (normal video playback never occupied so much of it). Seems like AV1 encoded video never triggered the problem. The problem doesn't always happen, but at a rather high frequency. This never happened before I updated the Intel graphics driver from 32.0.101.5972 to 32.0.101.6129. The problem seemed not to happen on other browsers such as Microsoft Edge.

Hello, I'm using Thunderbird version 140.2.1esr (64-bit). I want to create a new account with a different email address. In the first dialog, I'm asked for my "Full Name" and "Email Address." After that, I only have the option to click "Continue." Thunderbird then crashes, and even after several minutes, it doesn't continue. I've attached a screenshot. Creating multiple accounts is actually quite common for me; I've done it several times in the past with previous versions of Thunderbird without any problems. Thank you for your support. Hello, Randomly but frequently enough to be annoying, Firefox freezes my entire laptop. I have windows 11. It freezes so badly that I have to hold down the on/off button until it goes off. I looked it up outside of Firefox help and, per suggestions, turned off the hardware accelerator. That seemed to work for a little while but now it's happening again with greater frequency. There doesn't seem to be any exact situation that causes it which makes it very hard to diagnose. But it's enough that I'm thinking of looking for another browser so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Firefox version: 139.0.4 (64-bit) OS: Windows 11

I have been having issues where Firefox tab will just crash out for no reason it appears and it happens at random times and once the tab start to crash, and I restore it, it will crash again and again. The only way tog et out of the loop is to restart Firefox.

I have tried: Refreshing/Reset, Clearing Cache and History removing all themes, disabling extensions, disabling my anti virus. Turning off hardware acceleration didn't make any different.

I currently have 2 extensions enabled: uBlock Origin 1.64.0 and Bitwarden Password Manager 2025.5.0

In the about:Crashes I have reported them all and they seem to have the same type of reasons in the Raw data/Minidump which are: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_WRITE EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ

Any help as to what to try next?

Getting "Mozilla Firefox Crash Reporter" problem message when attempting to print files (Docs & Sheets) from Google Cloud. Errors messages have appeared on Lenova Thinkpad laptop in Firefox since mid Dec update. Can print existing files located on desktop, just not from cloud. Both HP and Epson Printers test fine, can print 'test pages'. Tried downloading files from cloud to pc....opening downloads, got same Firefox problem message and crashed. Have used same firefox browser and same printers for several years. Rebooted several times, same error. Can print, 'printer test pages'. Do I have a switch turned off/on or is this a browser problem. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Firefox crashes every day or so on my home computer. The most common error message is "kmode exception not handled." I've tried the suggested fixes. Nothing helps. The crashes are not being recorded in "about crashes" or in %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\. So it seems the crash reporter has to be fixed before the problem causing the crashes can be identified. Firefox does not crash on my office computer and no other program causes my home computer to crash. Thank you.

I've tried Troubleshooting Mode but it only recommends "Clear Startup Cache" and when I click it to reboot the program Thunderbird stills fails to load the Inbox file and Troubleshooting Mode again recommends the same "Clear Startup Cache" as a remedy. Not sure what to do to get Inbox file loaded in program. BTW the program does download new emails to the Inbox file but program is unable to load the file. During Thunderbird program restart the message at the bottom left of Thunderbird window is "Summarizing files for Inbox" which after 20 minutes program crashes ans asks for a reboot. Any corrective action recommendations is appreciated.

Bonjour, Voilà, depuis une mise à jour de Windows 11 la kb 5054979 et la kb 5055523 fêtent ensemble j'arrive à accéder à Firefox à l'aide de la souris mais dès que je tape au clavier Firefox plante. J'ai essayer la mise à jour des pilotes du clavier croyant à un problème de drivers mais il est à jour. J'ai désinstallé les mises à jour mais rien n'y fait J'aimerai savoir d’où peu provenir le problème ?. Firefox envoie bien des infos sur le plantage et essaye de remettre les onglets mais le problème reste le même. merci pour votre aide ? I am running an iMac Catalina 10.15.7. Since Firefox just updated itself my system keeps crashing so bad that I have to do a hard shut down. Yesterday I had to do this over a dozen times to get through my session. Firefox was the last browser compatible with my Mac. Is this no longer the case?

From time to time especially when I make a break and the screensaver starts Thunderbird crashes. There is a split between the taskbar of Cinnamon and Thunderbird. The program doesn't react anymore. The only way to use it is to kill it and start it again. I really don't know why this happens. It is a new phenomenon. Here are my Systeminformation: [code] System:
