Hello all:

Just downloaded version 140 and ran into an immediate "visual/appearance" problem with regard to the background color(s) of the sidebar bookmarks view. Many themes now have totally dark sidebar colors and not readable (see screenshot image upload with this posting). I always have my bookmarks (almost 1200 of them) displayed in my sidebar, and this is the first time an issue like this has arisen with a Firefox update.

To remedy this scenario, I must use very light colored themes that have a white background when you bring up the sidebar bookmarks. If not, everything is totally dark and unreadable.

Any ideas or help on this one?

I like the older versions of Thunderbird without message threading. I tried to turn off in Settings Config but did not work. Can I revert to an older version? Or can you please tell me how to make the threading stop? I am on a Mac.

I recently purchased a new computer and had computer experts install the thunderbird email system when they were setting up my computer. The system on the old computer was easy to set up and name a new folder. I cannot figure out how to do it on the new Thunderbird version

I asked our company IT, they did not change any setting in office365 email server. At the same time, I re-set this email in Foxmail, it's ok too and can see all of email box. or do Thunderbiard not support office365 company email any more?

I use Thunderbird 128.10.2 esr (64-bit) on a Mac Book Pro. For some reason, I can no longer change the font color of my outgoing messages. Even my saved templates now all have black text rather than the black and red text that I set them up with.

I didn't change any settings or preferences - this must have happened when the software was automatically updated.

How do I change the color of the text? I only want to change the color of specified parts of my email - not every word.

Starting today, if I use google search in Firefox it ALWAYS says i am robot and I have to Recaptcha puzzles. I have done everything with my computer, cleared cache/history, rebooted router/chose "No Proxy" for Internet access/ and searched for viruses/malware etc. Using latest version of Firefox 138.0.1 I am also already logged into my Google account. Dont have this issue if I use google with other browsers such as Edge or Chrome. on a Dell PC using Windows 10.

I dont want to switch browsers but dont know how long I can put up with this. Wouldn't be surprised if Google did this on purpose to entice Firefox users to switch to Chrome.

Please HELP

I recently updated my Firefox browser to the latest version, 138.0.1 (64-bit), on Windows.

After the update, I noticed that when playing videos in fullscreen mode (for example, on YouTube or other video websites), the Windows taskbar (the bar at the bottom of the screen with the Start menu icon) does not hide automatically. This is affecting my fullscreen viewing experience.

Before updating to version 138.0.1, the Windows taskbar would hide correctly when entering fullscreen video.

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered a similar issue with the Windows taskbar not hiding, or if there are any suggested solutions to help resolve this problem.

Starting yesterday 4-3-2025 my Thunderbird email keeps locking up and saying it is not responding. I can close it and open it and then work with it for 2 or 3 minutes and it will start not responding again. This is a consistent problem the last few days. I did check and it said there was an automatic update on 4-2-25. I am not sure if this had anything to do with it but i did go in and request an update about 2 hours ago today. This has not helped as I still consistentaly get the not responding problem. Please advise what I can do to fix this.

Hi, Can't get rid of the funtion "threads" in Thunderbird. What I want is to ignore any connections between original mail and answers to it. I would like just to have every new mail adressed to me as new unread mail. Not deleted, not visible or marked as "read". The funtion "ignore threads" don't seams to give me that option. Except for that, Thunderbird is great. Better that Outlook since it is able to sync it's caledar with google.

I wonder if anyone can help me. I can not sign in to my email account. Since April 1. Apparently something happened at midnight March 31. I went step by step on settings. Everything is as is was no changes. When I sign up asking for Password. I input the password and it rejects. We did not changed or modify the sign in protocol. Thunderbird doesn't have a "Forget Password" option. Tried to research solutions. Tried to resign as new account. No luck. Thunderbird is our mail client for 5 different email addresses opens only the 3 .gmail addresses. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
