When deleting more than one email, I get the "not responding" message and a delay. Then it resumes working but it takes so long to delete email.

Hi, I have been using Thunderbird for many years. I have not made any changes to the standard Windows 10 version.
Suddenly, when I want to open a New Message, the button is highlighted in blue but nothing happens when I click on it.

I have been using thunderbird for a few years now on win 10. Just had to buy a new win 11 system and successfully installed it. transferred my emails, folders and contacts and all seemed to work fine. Now I notice that once I leave it for a few mins, it is unresponsive with just a blue circle where the curser should be. I close it and re open and all is fine again for a few mins. I have tried turning off my antivirus software and disconnecting from the internet but still the same fault. Any ideas please?

I was happily using TB 78.14.0 on Mac OS 10.9.5 and I switched to using TB 140.6 on Mac OS 12.7.4, and it's now unusably slow. I've tried: troubleshoot mode with add-ons off; compacting folders; removing and renewing msf files; emptying junk and trash. Is there anything else, or is this just a failure or incompatibility of the app? I can't see that there's any antivirus app that might be interfering. Can something go wrong when you export the files from one TB into another? I would be grateful for any suggestions. Tim

I have noticed a weird scrolling bug in Firefox since either v138.0 or v138.0.1.
If you go to https://www.architecturaldesigns.com/ and select any floor plan, if you attempt to scroll down the page the page will not let you and snap back to the top.
I tried this in Firefox troubleshooting mode with all add-ons / themes disabled and encountered the same behavior. This is something that just started happening in the last version release or two.
This is present both on Windows as well as Mac versions of the Firefox browser.

Когда firefox зависает и windows предлагает его убить, firefox получает права системы и по этому становиться не убиваемым.Система не может его убить потому что у его права системы .В первые заметил этот баг когда сделал браузер firefox браузером по умолчанию.У меня сим роутер при запуске системы открывает браузер тут та браузер и зависает (не всегда ,но часто) в диспетчере задач в этот момент у его права системы.Писал в майрософт ,майкрософт посоветовал пользоваться нормальным браузером и сменить браузер по умолчанию .По совету майкрософт сменил браузер по умолчанию на chrome проблема пропала. I was running TB 128.11.1esr up until 10:00 this morning on Windows 10 Professional 22H2 64-bit. I have some e-mail messages that I cannot delete. This morning I auto-upgraded to 1o 128.12.0esr and then to 140.0esr. I still cannot delete the messages When I try to delete a group of messages (containing the message in question), the messages in the in-box turn from black to gray, and I see at the bottom "Moving messages to Trash". But nothing happens. I did a "Compact folders", and it completed without any error messages. I can look at my Trash folder, and the contents seem to be intact. In one case, I individually deleted all of the messages except one. With this one, I open the message and see nothing in the bottom message content pane. When I do a "cntl-u" to see the RFC 5322 message headers, I see a window that is completely blank. What is happening, and how can I debug this? Thanks.

Recent problem, real nasty, may just have to give up on Thunderbird, at least on the Windows 10 computer.
Click on folder name in folder list, all messages previously downloaded and viewable, when the message list appears, it instantly disappears and the message list pane displays "no message found" and it proceeds to download the entire message list all over again. For some folders with over a hundred thousand messages, this is unacceptable, obviously.

The one at home, works perfect, the one in my second home too except the unified toolbar is unresponsive, whatever I click there it doesn't respond, The X doesn't close the program, the - doesn't minimize anything, just nothing happens, any advise?
Firefox becomes stuck in landscape view when watching videos. Clears after restart until watching videos again in landscape mode.

I've been using Thunderbird for probably 10 years or more. My current version is 140.1.0esr (32-bit) - unsure when this was updated from previous version. My pc is a 64-bit pc so I'm unsure why I'm running the 32 bit version of Thunderbird.
Starting today, when I click on the New Message button, nothing happens except the button seems to register the mouse click with a slight change in appearance. Usually this would open up a blank email but I currently can't write a new email until this is resolved.
Turning off Anti-virus makes no difference. I've tried a PC restart also with no effect.
Any ideas what I can try please?
