Evil Corp (aka Microsoft) updated my Windows 11 PC from 24H2 to 25H2 and now I cannot access quite a few websites (i.e. Amazon, Bank!, etc.) and some take a long time to load (surprisingly, my Firefox Home page...Google...also takes a while to load) . I searched the internet and found many so called fixes and most are very complicated and many contradict others. A lot of them say to disable DNS and reset network stack (using the command prompt) which I do not know how to do even though I worked in the tech business for 40 yrs (mainly data networking)...I retired 20 yrs ago...so I'm old...so I'm not as savvy with computers as I used to be. I tried changing a few Firefox settings, but nothing worked, so I changed them back to the original settings that worked before the update. If someone could give me detailed (and hopefully simple) instructions to resolve this issue, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm am in a bind, so a timely response would be great. Hiya.

So if I download an attached file on gmail using Firefox... it crashes. If I open up a new tab on Firefox... it crashes. It only started this week.

I'm using 12.7.6 and I really don't want to go back to Chrome, so I hope you can help.

The macbook completely freezes apart from the mouse pointer which moves, but cannot open a thing. Every time I have to turn the macbook off to restart it.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version.

I have posted this in two forums, not knowing which will get me the answer.

I have an account with optimum.net I no longer receive Thunderbird emails since 9-02-24 about 10 AM EST. I talked to the "Head" tech at Optimum and he constantly assured me that the problem was with Thunderbird, not Optimum. I do not receive emails from optimum (suddenlink,net) or yahoo.com.

But I can send email, through Thunderbird to each. I have to look on the web to see the emails, since Tbird does not receive.

I have changed no passwords.

I think that Bird only uses the server on suddenlink, my primary ISP The head tech at optimum says it it not there problem.

Could someone tell me the answer?

I use a program called "URL Manager Pro" on the Mac to manage my bookmarks in all my browsers. Double clicking on a bookmark icon in URL Manager can open the URL in a new tab, the same tab, or a new window depending upon how I set the preferences in URL Manager Pro. This works fine in Safari. However, in Firefox, the website opens in a new tab regardless of how I set my preferences in URL Manager.

The author of URL Manager tells me the issue is a problem with how Firefox deals with AppleEvents. It's very annoying to accumulate so many unintended new tabs and then manually close them. Is this fixable in Firefox or is there a work around?

the latest version of Firefox, I think, just all of a sudden lost connection to any server from this PC.. my Chrome and Edge work just fine.. I can't find anyway to check the connections Thanks, Bob .

I get a message like this every time I start Thunderbird. The topic came up last year but the conclusion was along the lines of "...this problem will be fixed in version 128" but it was never clear whether or not the User followed Mozilla's support replies or what they had to do to clear the email message from Thunderbird. .....Well I'm running version 128.1.1esr and the problem still exists.

My questions:

1. What is Thunderbird trying to do? Compact individual email files? Compae from ct the whole Thunderbird Profiles folder?

2. Is the problem the size of the Profiles folder or the overall size of the hard drive the Profiles folder resides on? What is the Hard/solidstate drive is the maximum?

3. Is the problem related to the amount of Free Space left on the Hard/solidstate drive or is the issue the number of individual files?

4. Is the issue related to the number of Thunderbird files and/or folders OR is it related to the total number of files and/or folders on the hard drive?

5. Is there a limit to the number of sub-folder levels that Thunderbird can navigate?

I can go to websites but when clicking log in I only get a white page. If I go to my credit card I cn=an see my statement but when going to make a payment get white screen only. Retirement website loads but try to log in and get white page. Other certain sites just keep trying to load. My os is linux mint17.1 32bit system. Problem just started this year

I recently updated to Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS and Thunderbird also updated (?) and now seems to be loaded under /snap. I have therefore lost connections to my signatures and it seems slower. What do I need to do?

I keep getting the attached message when I sign into my bank. This just started yesterday (9/4/24), but when I sign in with another browser I don't have a problem?

I just updated the software a day ago and it helped out a lot of issues. On only 1 of my email accounts when I click on sent it freezes the software and I have to force close it. The other email accounts don't seem to have this issue.

Steps I've tried:

• I've downloaded thunderbird and installed again.
• Ran in troubleshoot mode or similar I guess to the safe mode.

Any suggestions would be kindly appreciated.

Running Thunderbird 115.14.0 on an old MacBook Air (OS 10.13.6 High Sierra). Thunderbird functioned perfectly well in the morning. Shut down Mac to go to a meeting. Upon restart, Thunderbird cannot be re-opened. Error message in Finder is "The application 'Thunderbird; can't be opened." Not sure what's happening and would really appreciate help.
