Question 1: How can I add an HTML signature file for an account in Thunderbird for Android by referencing a file on my phone? Or, something similar that will accomplish the same thing (i.e., HTML email .sig).

Background: In Thunderbird on my Desktop (currently using 140.10.1esr), I can go to Account Settings, select an email account, check the "Attach the signature from a file instead (text, HTML, or image):" and then "Choose..." a file I created on my local machine. My file is HTML (e.g., mysig.html) and references an image (in the same local directory). I want to replicate this in TBA.

Question 2: If there is no way to do this (the functionality is not purposefully there and there is no work-around to fool TBA into behaving properly), is there a place I can submit this request to the developers?

Functionality and usability issue: I use the Thunderbird for Android app as an adjunct to my desktop installation. Recently I had occasion to reply to an email in Android to one "to" recipient and needed to add two "cc" recipients, but found no way to add the cc recipients without deleting the existing cc recipients and having to input the entire (dynamic) group again, but then was also stymied by that. How best to handle this issue?

Other than that issue, the lack of desktop contacts synching, and the lack of spam filtering, Thunderbird for Android has been a huge help, so thanks to the developers for their dedication and hard work.

How do I transfer emails from Thunderbird Desktop to Thunderbird Android?

I have successfully imported my settings, but I want to add all my emails that are currently on my desktop.

How do I do it please?

I have set all Notifications on (there seems to be a dozen on/off switches) but new emails do not trigger a marker on the Thunderbird logo or any other form of notification I have to open Thunderbird just to get new messages to download Is there a setting I need to change?

Just added Thunderbird for Android and imported my email addresses.

I am not seeing any messages in the unified inbox and only see that folder and the outbox folder. I have 4 different gmail accounts and 1 yahoo account where I have no issues on the desktop side. Android is 14, running on unlocked Motorola Edge+ 2023 and T-Mobile network.

Please let me know if there is anything additional I can supply to resolve this.

Hi All, I have been sending emails through Android Thunderbird, but they aren't being synced to the server, so I can't see them anywhere else. I've set the Sent folder to sync (as well as the Inbox). Pressing the sync button just spins the indicator, but doesn't actually sync. When I try to move or copy messages, an error comes up saying that messages can't be copied or moved that aren't synconised. How can all my messages (sent, inbox, everything) be synced so that I can see them everywhere? I've just turned on sync debugging, will see the results soon.

I can't find in mobile Thunderbird address book. It is not convenient to fill manually Adresse of Adressat to write email. There's no way to keep email address of people in email in non existent address book. Can you help?

Is there a way to export/backup all the emails and folders from an account using Thunderbird for Android? I've searched around and can't find any sign of it, or mention here on support.mozilla.org or elsewhere on the web, so I presume that the feature doesn't exist, however I thought I'd ask here just in case.

My use case is that I've got an old email account which I want to backup before I migrate away from it.

I have TB Mobile for Android Version 8.2 on my Samsung A54 running Android 14. I have done numerous searches, but can not find any way to move an email that I accidentally sent to Trash or Spam back to Inbox (or any other folder for that matter). Am I missing something or is this feature simply not available?

I can do the above with my Yahoo mail on my A54 which has a menu that lets me move any email from folder to folder.

I've been using the Thunderbird App (v12.1) on a Google Pixel 8 (Android 16) for a while now with several Email accounts from different providers. One of them is a T-Online Email address. Recently it appears to have stopped syncing the folders only for this account. I still get emails in the inbox but all the folders are empty. It only says "Bis zu 100 weitere abrufen" (request up to 100 more) but tapping that doesn't make a difference. In the settings I have the sync set to everything without limitation.

I tested the same account with K9 (v11.1) and Google Mail and in both all the folders have their content.

Does anyone have the same issue or any suggestions? Is there any logging that I turn on to see if there's any errors?

I went out of the USA on May to Ecuador and Peru, and on the same day the Android version of Thunderbird stopped retrieving new email from the server. I have used Thunderbird pointed to the same server on Windows 11 and Android successfully for years. I thought it might be something to do with being out of the country, but now I'm back in the USA, and sync account on Android still does not retrieve new mail that has accumulated since May 4th. I've been following my email using a webmail access so I know there's lots of new mail. I've closed and reopened Thunderbird on the Android, and I've tried sync account with the webmail access closed. I have not yet tried Thunderbird on my windows 11 laptop because I'm still not home yet. Any suggestions welcomed, thank you for your help! I donated and installed thunderbird on my laptop last week. I have donated twice more in the last few days to install thunderbird on my android phone in the last few days unsuccessfully. I do not know what I am doing wrong. Can you help me?

Hi there, I recently switched to thunderbird and it's been working great on Windows desktop but try as I may I can get it to work on android. I followed the prompts to export the settings and that all seemed to work but the app won't connect to the incoming and outgoing servers. I've checked and the details are the same as the desktop (via Bridge) but it just says failed to connect every time.

I'm also only showing an outbox and no other folders in the app. I searched the forum and found others with this issue but no solutions. Is this a dead end and I'm better off going back to Outlook or is there a solution to this?

The Delete button (I've just begun using Thunderbird for Android) sends email to Delete-land: gone for good. There is no way to reprogram it to send to Trash. One can, alternatively, hide it on the main screen by setting swipes left and right to None. But it is still there in the Read screen....and potentially dangerous. If you try to set a swipe to Trash rather than Delete, there is no Trash option. So you have to set it to Move and choose Trash each time. This reduces the utility of Tbird Android and means you have to be extra-careful when reading emails.

Also, no way to reduce image sizes (by percentage) when attaching large picture files...unless you reduce them in advance in an image processing program.

TB crashed so I uninstalled/reinstalled it. As part of the reinstallation, I selected the "load more" value as 1000 more. This was done rather casually and without any consideration. Afterwards, I thought perhaps this might slow Thunderbird down. Is that true? And how do I change "1000 more" to some other value? I've searched extensively but can't find a solution anywhere. In V.10, it used to be I had to really swipe all the way left for delete to occur.

Now in V.13 only a small/partial movement deletes.

This is tool easy to mis-trigger. Please go back.
