Hello. I installed the add on Tranquility Reader, found I did not like it, and uninstalled it. I have restarted my Firefox, as well as my PC, several times, but I still do not have graphics back like they were before. Am I missing something? Or has my whole system just gone on to another world??? So Aggravated! TIA Christie

Version 133 Android pie. Unauthorized background data usage even when set to denied. System is set to deny background data usage, no exception yet firefox using data. Hate to put firefox on firewall's deny list. Is the future of firefox releases.

What is meaning of the blue bar meter in the bottom right corner? It is stuck in half. After clicking on it the Activity Manager pops up, but with no actual info. If it brings some info about actual processing of data, it should display such info.

I get a message like this every time I start Thunderbird. The topic came up last year but the conclusion was along the lines of "...this problem will be fixed in version 128" but it was never clear whether or not the User followed Mozilla's support replies or what they had to do to clear the email message from Thunderbird. .....Well I'm running version 128.1.1esr and the problem still exists.

My questions:

1. What is Thunderbird trying to do? Compact individual email files? Compae from ct the whole Thunderbird Profiles folder?

2. Is the problem the size of the Profiles folder or the overall size of the hard drive the Profiles folder resides on? What is the Hard/solidstate drive is the maximum?

3. Is the problem related to the amount of Free Space left on the Hard/solidstate drive or is the issue the number of individual files?

4. Is the issue related to the number of Thunderbird files and/or folders OR is it related to the total number of files and/or folders on the hard drive?

5. Is there a limit to the number of sub-folder levels that Thunderbird can navigate?

Guten Tag, ich arbeite mit Thunderbird auf Linux Mint. Jeweils in den aktuellsten Versionen: Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon Thunderbird 128.11.0esr (64-Bit)

Auf meinem bisherigen Rechner begann Thunderbird mit dem letzten Upgrade von Linux Mint langsamer zu laufen. Da ich mir nicht anders zu helfen wusste, habe ich in einen neuen Computer investiert. Obwohl der Rechner jetzt deutlich performanter sein sollte, hängt Thunderbird mindestens genauso wie vorher. Zum Teil ruft Thunderbird auf dem neuen Rechner auch keine neuen E-Mails mehr ab. Ein Neustart korrigiert das zwar wieder, aber beim nächsten Start kann es dann wieder genauso sein.

Alles, was man in den Foren findet, um Thunderbird schneller zu machen, habe ich erledigt. Cache gelöscht, im abgesicherten Modus gestartet (da ist Thunderbird genauso langsam). Auch verschieben von Nachrichten in Archivordner brachte keine wirkliche Besserung.

Ich nutze Thunderbird für 7 Kalender (zum Teil lokal) und 10 E-Mail-Adressen bei unterschiedlichen Anbietern.

Als Add-on habe ich DKIM Verifyer installiert und aktiv.

Ehrlich gesagt, bin ich inzwischen ziemlich verzweifelt, was das Thema angeht. Witzigerweise lassen sich die Entwicklerwerkzeuge nicht aufrufen. Keine Ahnung, ob das vielleicht ein Indiz für den Fehler sein könnte.

Hat jemand eine Idee? Oder noch Fragen?

This has happened the last two times I've tried to write a reply. I will be writing along and all of a sudden the screen dims and I get the blue circle thingy. Thunderbird locks up and doesn't come back but the red exit button is available. Of course, I lose all the reply I've written. I've never run into this error before and I've been using Thunderbird for years. I'm running v. 139.0.2 (64-bit) on a win-11 laptop, Firefox in the background but no other programs running. I clear my cache at the beginning of every month, so I did that this morning before starting any programs.

When I open Thunderbird (Mozilla), my files are not current. In other words, the most recent emails, probably since the last time I used Thunderbird, in my file folders are missing. I have tried changing the server settings but I think they are correct. Please be patient with me, I am unfamiliar with all the terminology, etc. Also, when I first enter Thunderbird, it does not recognize my password. A window opens with the message "Login to server imap.postoffice.net with username john.fn@usa.net failed." That message also appears when I click on Get Messages. Thanks for any help.

For >20 years I have used Thunderbird as my email reader for various email accounts on my mac laptop. Last night Thunderbird stopped downloading emails from my yale.edu account. I tried removing the yale account and reinstalling it unsuccessfully. See attachment. The Yale IT rep told me that Yale very recently added security features that are probably preventing Thunderbird from working with it. They told me to use the Outlook app. Is there anyway I can get Thunderbird to work with my yale.edu outlook email account?

Hey, im having some issues with Thunderbird recently.. Its been freezing and lagging for last two days, probably newest update causes that.. any other idea what could it be? Its happening on every device at my workplace. Mozilla team, fix it please. Thunderbird is our working tool.

So i use garuda linux(not sure if necessary but still telling). The ".mozilla" folder is about 134 GB! I have browsed it a bit and found a lot of this folders "vuzpdtyn.default-release-backup-crashrecovery", "tor50voj.default-backup-crashrecovery-", "profile-somestuff-backup-crashrecovery" Is it safe to delete the old ones from this?

My emails were all working (accounts were setup fine). Then, recently, when I opened Thunderbird, the main area (where my messages are displayed) is empty. If I choose another folder, still empty. BUT, the folders all say that there are messages in them (see the attached screenshot)

I have tried the following... 1. Opening Thunderbird in Troublshooting mode: This works, and the messages appear. But I don't want to have to open troubleshooting mode every time. 2. I have ZERO extensions installed, so asking to disable them obviously wont do anything. 3. I have tried to repair the folders (I have tried to repair the default inbox folder, and then tried to repair them all ... nothing worked). 4. I have backed up my thunderbird files, and tried reinstalling Thunderbird. Still didn't work. 5. Unable to send any emails although all the server settings are correct have the attached dialogue box come up see screenshot. suspect this is not directly a prob with Thunderbird as was having problems with some undelivered email with outlook.

I have a fresh install of ubuntu 24.04.3,... on my AMD 'go-faster' PC. S/w all up to date,.. and snaps up to date. In my pursuit of migrating TB email from one m/c to another,... nothing works,.. least of all the TB i/f. My TB screen looks as follows:- with only a few seconds in-between shots. This 'font' type issue is my primary problem,.. and is consistent even if a create a 'new profile',.. emails are display still with funny fonts, ( which change as my mouse moves over them ). secondary issue is in copying over my '.thunder' folder structure, from one m/c to new one,.. is TB insists on creating new profile,.. as it reports profile is outdated,.. yet as far as I can see both are running TB 140.2.0esr 64 bit. I have tried several clean installs,.. but results 'seem' to be the same. Does anyone have any ideas...

Ever since I upgraded to 115.10.1 (from a much earlier version, which worked well), Thunderbird is randomly very slow.

First off, at opening time, it takes ages (over a minute) to download some incoming (small) messages - while this was definitely not the case with the previous version I was running. Sometimes, it hangs (for anywhere from 15 to 60 seconds) while I am typing a message.

Also, e.g. today, I tried to send an email (250 KB or so): it just kept on saying "sending". When I clicked (after a few minutes) to stop the sending, the window closed without further ado and I couldn't find the message anywhere (not in the Drafts, not in the Sent). I did it again, it then hung on copying the message to the "sent" folder. When it finally said it failed, and asked if I wanted to have it copied to a local folder, I clicked "yes". Upon checking, it had stored it in the "sent" messages, not locally...

I am running Windows 10 Pro, with ample memory and disk space, and a fiber optics connection. The CPU is not overloaded at all nor any other ressource.

It is becoming increasingly annoying.

I have been using a couple of well known computer browsers that drive me mad the way I have to confirm who I am even after long use with them .

Their system of security is over the top.

I feel much more encouraged that when I use Firefox that I have chose a professional team
