I deleted both accounts and put them back in Thunderbird and still do not send email. They download all the emails and folders without a problem.

Is there a way to revert the new-message-icon back to the pre-supernova-version? The new icon is highly unattractive.
Thankfully I already found a way to revert the application icon back to normal by replacing messengerWindow.ico inside \chrome\icons\default, but the new-message-icon is unaffected by that.
I'm also happy to mess with omni.ja for this purpose. Thought I had found a promising file by name with new-mail-alert.png inside omni.ja\chrome\classic\skin\classic\messenger\icons\ but it did not change anything, despite clearing startup cache.
Do I really have to mess with the .exe resources to get the old icon back?
(Yes, I could reinstall the old version, but that is not a sustainable way since it will accumulate security flaws over time, eventually forcing me back to this question anyway).

In case this is a suitable place, here's what I think after using version 115 for about 1 day.
1. Too many keystrokes to go from folders list to messages list and back. (I expect I'll get used to this after a while.)
2. Thunderbird does not show where my unread messages are. Right now it is showing that I have 9 unread messages in my inbox or subfolders. When I expand the first level of subfolders, it shows me the locations of only three of those messages. I suppose the other 6 are in sub-subfolders and beyond but I can't see where. Maybe I could expand the entire folder tree but I don't want to do that because I have about 173 folders. (I can't imagine getting used to this one.)
I've been very happy with Thunderbird since I migrated from Eudora (because at that time Eudora didn't handle non-Latin characters well) but I can't recommend Thunderbird to anyone in its current state.

For some reason Firefox is now displaying in some strange langue. I have gone to settings, langues and have English selected. This should have corrected the problem but it has not. I have gone through the alternate langues menu and have what I believe to be English CA selected. Still a problem?

After updating from 102 to 115 today, The Folders pane is empty, and without any folder chosen, the other panes (message list, message body) are empty as well.
As a result, the entire Mail tab empty, so Thunderbird is useless. Other tabs (Calendar etc.) are displayed properly.
The only way to see messages is using the search (Ctrl K): search results are shown, and when chosen, their body is shown. Of course, I have tried to change layout and anything relevant through the menus. I have also tried to use the Troubleshooting mode and start the applications without add-ons. Nothing helped.
What can I do to solve this crippling issue? Can I revert to 102? Thanks in advance for any advice. I am running the latest version on Windows 10.

Using Thunderbird. Since last night I can't send emails. It keeps telling me "connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.atlanticbb.net timed out. Try again." I tried sending just a small one word message saying test, and it goes through. But if I try to write an email, reply or forward I get that message. It makes no sense to me. I called my ISP and they tell me they aren't having any email issues, that it has to be Thunderbird. But why can I receive but not send? I can send and receive them on my galaxy phone.
I can receive them with no problem. I have the IMAP set correctly. It's been working super the last few months, and now this. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it? I don't want to use my servers email program, it just doesn't have the features I want. They told me to delete my account and re-add it, is that even possible? I'm getting very frustrated. The last time I had to reinstall Thunderbird I had all kinds of issues and lost a lot of my stuff. TIA

T-bird sometimes downloads email like normal. Often, perhaps an hour later it won't download email and gives me this message: Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.
This may be related to an update, I don't know. It started in the last week and is annoying. I use T-bird exclusively because I like to save emails on my desktop.
