Hello,

In the past, FF downloaded documents without opening them in the browser. This is two weeks now that whenever I download a document, FF is now opening the document in the browser without asking me.

I welcome if someone could tell me what I can do to stop FF from opening the documents.

Been using Outlook, but am having issues. Decided to try TBird. Got the email part set up (far as I can tell). Calendar and Address book are a different story. Calendar: Using Google Calendar as primary calendar. Consists of an appointment, birthday, and holiday calendars. Created a new calendar and entered the URL for my Google Calendar. It showed up in TBird apparently OK. Created ANOTHER calendar and entered URL for Googles stock Holiday calendar. It also seemed to show up OK. Tried to do what I did with those calendars to add my Birthday Calendar, but Google uses data from Google Contacts to create that calendar. Can't figure how to add that data. HELP? Address book: Exported Google Contacts Data to a CSV file. Tried BOTH Outlook CSV and Google CSV exports. NEITHER produced a CSV file ANYWHERE Close to what TBird appeared to want, based on what showed up on the "fields" page that appeared after I chose the CSV filename. Moving data around in a spreadsheet is a Royal pain. Isn't there a Google Contacts CSV export file that more closely approximates the arrangement that TBird WANTS?

I am setting up a new Windows 11 Computer and am trying to install Thunderbird. I have downloaded TB (Thunderbird Setup 115.10.2) to my Download Folder. I double click on that file to run the Setup program, complete the user account information and TB and select Continue. TB completes the search and displays the correct account (att.net) connection information, SMP, POP3, Ports, etc. I select DONE and the Checking Password box displays. It runs for a few minutes and an Error message displays: "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, user name or password." If I select Configure Manually, a window displays showing the correct configuration information (I have checked it four times). I will note that "Normal Password" has been selected for Authentication Method in case that is important. I have tried this method several times and get the same Error message. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have attached a screenshot of the configuration window. Note: My account is with att.net but I am still using my old pacbell.net account that was merged with ATT many years ago.

This addon, after download, installs fine as a temporary addon.

How can I install it permanently?

Everytime I try to open MediaFire it's just a blank page, I've refreshed the page repeatedly but it didn't work, I also tried with other links, but it also didn't work, I kept seeing the blank page over and over again.

I DL'd LibreOffice. I went to Writer to create a master grocery shopping list. I figured I'd use a Table. It asked me if I wanted to Create a Database. I figured yeah, I'm going to probably create all kinds of grocery shopping lists. Per store. Per item. I want to cross reference items to compare. Perhaps keep records of store price and best sale price with date of sale. I don't know what is possible yet. Anyway, to create a LIbreWriter Database it errored that I needed to install a JAVA JRE. Java says FF doesn't support it.

It linked to Oracle whereby I could not find a comparable DL to JRE.

Support.mozilla seems to have been saying do it offline with a bunch of complicated workarounds.

I just want to do something simple to fix this. I have to do a complicated update for Win7 to 8 or 10, then to 11 and have been preparing backups on my 2TB HP with an already partitioned hard drive so I don't have time to mess around (plus medical issues make it difficult to do most days. I mention this because perhaps Win11 will factor into your reply.

What's the best thing to do? DL a specific/different Office Style Suite to work with FF? If so which? What's the safest way to go? Thank you for your advise.

I downloaded a large filed in my Firefox Browser and it took me 2 days to download the file but when it's almost done, it suddenly failed download. Can you help me resume the download? I think it stopped around 60 gig.

I don't have time and effort to describe the scenario as I am getting sleepy. But I have pics to describe what I have experienced. But having that experience, I felt started to hesitate downloading your installer of mozilla firefox but I nahhed it to continue installing until I successfully installed mozilla firefox.

Look I have memory issues I already have to change my password & now I just got a recovery key as long as my arm. Do you people think any of us have such important stuff on our home, student computers we need the tools of a CFO or CEO of a major corp. REALLY I think it is time we realize 2/3 of the tools on a computer be it windows or moz:lla are superfluous. To make me have to remember that many numbers is torture or try to remember where I put the print out is mean. Is cruel and why? So our egos can feel filled with smoke? Anything more than 5 fonts is a waste. How much time do you think gets wasted while people "play" or fart around with all the empty tools on computers? The world wide web is a huge wall surrounding all the companies that take our money. You built it for them Then showed consumers shinny new toy we waste our money our time our lives and we will never be able to get into the wall you built to get back money we spent or time we wasted. I downloaded a Windows 10 update last night. It was Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267202 (Version 1.361.793.0). Now, I cannot open Firefox. When I click on Firefox for around half a second I see an error box that says "Open Firefox in troubleshooting mode?" and nothing else, with no option to click yes, then the box closes. The same thing happens when I try to run firefox.exe -p to change profiles. I also cannot open Tor Browser, and I am wondering if there is a connection. I have tried uninstalling Firefox using the uninstall tool and reinstalling but I have the same issue. I uninstalled the windows update and opened Firefox. This time, it had the "Open Firefox in troubleshooting mode?" box but I could actually click on the yes option, and Firefox opened. However, when I clicked on the option to get a fresh install and remove the extensions, Firefox closed and I am back to the same place of it not being able to open again.

Hi, new updates on Version 98.0.1 quite a hassle for me. It auto-download all my files even when I just want to view. Is there any other way to disable this feature? I opened Setting>Download but there is no disable button or checkbox for that. Please help me. Thank you in advance.

I am trying to add my Android phone as a device to Firefox. I initially invoked the code scanner next to the search bar, but got a message saying that the code had to be scanned from within the Firefox app. So I installed the app and followed these instructions entitled "Connect Another Device".

There is no Turn on Sync option in the Settings menu. I have looked in every menu item that appears even remotely related to syncing with a QR code or adding a device and come up empty.

I found this exact issue in two existing questions, but neither of them had ever been answered, which makes me less than confident that mine will. If there is a Turn on Sync option in Settings, and I just overlooked it, please explain step-by-step where I can find it. If there really is no Turn on Sync option, please provide an alternate method of adding my Android phone.

Well, the subject should be self-explanatory. But i need help in creating a Firefox account. Keep in mind that I am not eligible for Google Play because I use a PC.
