I was working with thunderbird today. Was in a specific email folder I had named "reference" that I use to store various emails, probably around 50 emails in there. Suddenly they all deleted from the folder as I was watching the screen. Checked spam/trash folders and nothing. Also logged into my webmail provider and nothing there either. Any idea what could have happened here? They just seem to have literally vanished. Have used Thunderbird a number of years and never experienced anything like this.

I have Thunderbird desktop. I love it! I recently downloaded Thunderbird mobile. I'm having a problem syncing them. My personal folders don't show on Thunderbird mobile. Please help!

My computer crashed and so restarted it, when went to open thunderbird got a couldn't load XPCom message. Followed directions to reinstall thunderbird without using the uninstaller. When I installed it, I reloaded my email to set it up. I have lost all my latest emails, only getting them from 15 years ago. and today, nothing from this year. All my folders have also gone and my contacts.

Can someone please help, how do I fix it, I have emails from this year that I need to keep.

I have spent 3 hours trying to figure this out. Nothing works for me.

Authentication always fails yet when I log into Outlook it always works.

I turned off using the new hub and was able to setup my email account but it told me OWL was not active (or something about OWL).

Godaddy is my provider.

What am I not doing correctly?

Hi, Please, with thunderbird for Android on my Samsung s21, i would like to unify all my emails on a unic inbox Windows. I have allready check the unify fonction in the "parameters". But i don't have any result. On the my computer, everything is ok. But i don't succeed on my phone... I hope you are understanding my question cause my english is horrible. Thank's in advance. Best

How do i manage my folders such as addition, renaming and delete folders?

Additionally, i would appreciate the possibility to undo the swipe. For example, if the wrong message has been moved to Trash.

Hallo, vor einiger Zeit habe ich mein Thunderbird E-Mailkonto gelöscht und möchte es wiederhrstellen und mit anderen E-Mail konto verknüpfen; doch da es eine andere Person installierte, weiß ich persönlich nicht wie das wieder hergestellt werden kann und die Posteingang und -Ausgangsnummer angezeigt werden Gibt es ein e Möglichkeit, dass mir jemand hilft oder das damalige Kennwort herauszufinden, denn die automatische Installation wurde nicht erstellt. Starting 2026 Comcast is moving all email over to Yahoo email. We will be able to keep our Comcast email address, but as of this writing I do not know what suffix Yahoo will add to my 2 accounts. Both of my Comcast suffixes are Comcast.net and that is how my email comes through now. I was shared a linked that I didn't from Comcast about the pending change. Will the suffix change from Comcast.net? I have attached the link that was shared with me.

I guess with your Comcast e-mail, you need to know this. Comcast e-mail is going away and users are being switched over to Yahoo e-mail sometime in 2026.

The tree I made for LOCAL/SUBFOLDERS...is now IN A CRAZY .mst unreadable computer language. I need all the files contained in this tree to go back to readable. Gerry

The current implementation of push notification in Thunderbird keeps a persistent connection to the email servers and consumes a lot more battery/compute.

An alternative idea that is used by some other projects like Bitwarden is a push notifications relay. https://bitwarden.com/help/configure-push-relay/

1. A service running not on the phone keeps a connection open to the email servers. This can be a discrete application and it can optionally be bundled into Thunderbird desktop.

2. A website similar to push.bitwarden.com where users can generate "proxy" tokens for the real push tokens for their installations or maybe we can share the original push token directly instead of relaying notifications through thunderbird infra? I will prefer the latter but I have not thought about the security considerations of exposing the real push notification token

3. The discrete application or Thunderbird desktop can send a message to GCM/APM using the token when they receive an email.

This is the only blocker for me in adopting thunderbird on android and I really want to do it but immediate push notifications that don't impact battery/compute are a priority for me.

I have three accounts set up in Thunderbird and my "ALL MAIL" folder has disappeared from my GMAIL ACCOUNTS. I did however appear to have 2 x Archive folders but in schofijnet10 one has disappeared in john.schofield10 i have 2 x DRAFT Folders and 2 x Sent folders in schofijnetQaol I have 2 x ARCHIVE and 2 x SPAM Folders Please see the image

I have a number of email accounts in TB. Everyone of them have an archive folder. Most are Gmail accts. All of the Gmail acct archive folders are filling up with random inbox emails that I did not archive. The one none Gmail account is not. My archive folders on Gmail only have the emails I have archived. Why is this happening????

Bonjour, J'ai malencontreusement déplacé des sous-dossiers situés dans le dossier "Courrier entrant "d'un de mes comptes vers la racine d'un autre compte , ces dossiers sont bien apparus au même niveau que le dossier "Courrier Entrant" mais une fois TB relancé tous les dossiers et mails qu'ils contenaient ont disparu. Sont ils définitivement perdus? Merci d'avance

I recently set up unified mailbox for all my email accounts under manage folders. I activated it for Inbox, sent, and trash but when I go to the unified folder it only show inbox not sent or trash folders. Why? The inbox folder portion is dispalying all messages by color code correctly.

I am using TB mobile version 13.0
