I'm trying to download my deceased son's Gmail account. 1.) They sent me the info to download Mozilla Thunderbird, which I did. 2.) Then it says to close after you have completed the installation. 3.) Open the following path/folder on your computer. 4.) Open Windows XP/2000, the path is C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\

My question is: I have Windows 11 Home, does that make a difference as to what I type in the path/folder? Also, where do I go to get to that path/folder?

I only have 30 days to figure this out and then have to refile a legal retrieval again to obtain the emails. I received the notice on the 16 of May and have not been able to figure this out. Google said in order to open the email content use Mozilla Thunderbird or any other program capable of reading ".mbox" format files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from someone soon. Thank you!

I'm trying to make contact with Chihuahua Universe, breeder of a puppy that I'm trying to purchase. But, there is no access to message her, about wot to do next. She mentioned you were making updates to your site & to try again. I have tried several times now!! Please could you help me with this matter, as I'm finding the whole thing extremely frustrating. I don't think that your site is very navigable, I have tried several different ways of finding information I require!!!!!!

Trying on here, as I suspect the android forum gets little attention.

I can send email with TB for Android over the Internet from home, but not over the Internet in 4 out of 4 cafes. it's not due to a VPN. It only happens eith Thunderbird, not Gmail or Outlook.

I have 2 instances of Firefox: I use stable for all my professional work, and I use Developer Edition (Aurora Channel) for personal things. The stable branch works fine. In Aurora though, certain key combos will not work. This even persists in troubleshooting (safe) mode.

Specifically, it seems anything using both ctrl+alt will not register alt, only ctrl. alt, alt+shift, and ctrl+shift all seem to work fine, but ctrl+alt and ctrl+alt+shift do not. Again, this works fine in stable, so I am clueless as to why it doesn't work in my other instance.

Another detail is that this happens on multiple websites, not just one. The post prominent one is Google Sheets. In sheets, you can insert the date using `ctrl+;`, the time using `ctrl+shift+;`, and both using `ctrl+alt+shift+;`. Inserting them separately works fine, but both causes only one to insert.

Something like this question has been asked so many times, searching for other's answers has become useless. The answers vary over the years and Thunderbird version numbers, not to mention that I can't even find documentation from Mozilla on this topic (official method of changing font size for average user; official list of css keywords, their format, and examples of use; etc.).

I am trying to increase the size of the Thunderbird fonts—not the ones used to display an email, but the ones used to show my list of accounts, mailboxes, and folders and the list of emails I have received (Table View, not Card View). For what its worth, I've already changed the font magnification to 1.5x.

I set toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets to true, and created a chrome folder in my profile directory. In it I put this userChrome.css:

However, restarting Thunderbird (multiple times with various font sizes) shows no changes. What do I do to change my font sizes? (The average user shouldn't even need to know about profiles or style sheets!)

F12 opens the inspector - How to change th eshortcut of remove it completely

F12 is near the backspace key on my asus laptop and I keep accidently hitting it and would like to remove this fuctionality. I can just use ctrl shift c if I need it

1st I am 90 yrs old. Been using this app since it was created. Never a problem until these new updates.

Was trying to delete old file (like the old program (block and hit delete). Found some message about deleting Trash folder and things I did not and do not understand. I now have LOST all my data, emails, addresses, everything.

I tried deleting the program and downloading a new copy. Did not work.

App Will not let me create an account. It keeps searching forever and have to cancel. App can't find my google password and just locks up. I only have two gmail addresses. I can access them by going to gmail.com but all my folders are not there. I need HELP please.

I can't even update my address file at the gmail site as I have no access to anything from TB. I am a research genealogist and now have lost all my saved research information.

Hello, so, I have my thunderbird profile on an external hard drive. Thunderbird was open and the hard drive was disconnected. After reconnecting the harddrive, on just one of my accounts, the inbox folder showed empty and the draft sent and junk folders disappeared. New messages are dowloded without problem. I have tried the repair folder option, it stays at the build index step. I waited for three hours or a little more, should I wait more? my inbox size is 2.5 GB. I have tried deleting the msf file but I can get to recreate them after deleting them. I have tried copying the msf files in the Local folder, but nothing happens. The other accounts were not affected. I am using the 115.18.0 (64-bit) version on linux. Any help would be most welcome

I have 7 folders in my Thunderbird (128.9.2esr (64-bit)) "Favorite Folders". The last folder keeps disappearing. When I right click on that folder in the "All Folders" tree, the favorite folder is checked. If I uncheck it and recheck it, it then shows up in "Favorite Folders" again. It disappears at least once each day. Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

This morning the Welcome to Thunderbird splash page will not go away. This may be connected, with clicking on the trash bin icon on an email will not delete the item.

Hi, on my friends pc, we run thunderbird, and in the last time the new email button, the ctrl+n, or the file-->new email dons't work. We have no extensions, reinstall didnt work. tried to downgrade but than the emailt dont work. We get the new emails, we can reply to a mail, but the new email window don't shows up.

please help i dont know what to do...
