This request to confirm a gmail account just began to pop up and appears to be spam. I cannot find its source.

Windows 11, up to date. Thunderbird, up to date.

1. I have never used this account with Thunderbird in the past and it is not an email used for communications. 2. Have only accessed this Gmail account via a web browser and am NOT logged into this google account. 3. The web address listed is not accessible. 4. The only object that links to anything is the Next button. 5. Have run a full Windows Defender scan - reports not threats or objects of concern.

Any direction on how to make it go away?

If it is a Google issue, any direction on where to look?

Any help is much appreciated. I am a long time user and supporter of Thunderbird and this is just annoying.

Thanks in advance for any assistance, Kevin in Annapolis Maryland, USA

I have set a filter to move messages from a certain address to a certain inbox,. In the filter settings I tick the box that states filter before junk mail before Junk Classification. Nevertheless mail from that certain address keeps getting put in junk mail. I have in Junk Mail marked all these messages as not junk but new ones keep getting put in the junk mail box. Help

I get genuine messages from Bell. I get spam from Bel! (that's an exclamation mark) and others including an "e" with a mark under it like a cedilla. I would like to copy and paste that version into a filter but I have not been able to capture it. I can copy the <whoIam@isp.com> part but not the name. The answer is probably obvious, but it escapes me.

I can find no MARK AS NOT JUNK icon/button, which I need a LOT more than the two buttons I have to mark messages JUNK. TB periodically assigns JUNK status to subscription emails that I occasionally want to read but mostly just delete unread. It's a nuisance going through the right-click menu hierarchy. What can I do?

Hello, I currently have the "adaptive junk mail controls" enabled in my account settings. I have been marking junk mail as spam (the fire icon) every time one comes in my inbox and sending them to the junk folder. However, I am still getting the same junk mail. If I delete items in the junk folder every so often (I had 2,000 junk emails in there at one point and then deleted it), does this negate the Thunderbird identifying items as junk mail? What should I be doing with the junk mail once it is in the junk folder?

I get messages in my spam/junk folders that are not spam. I have tried marking the as "Not Junk" many times but they still wind up in the junk folder. The recommendation I read in your Forum is to "white list" (or is it "whitelist" ?) them but I can't figure out how to do that. Please help.

Thunderbird 143.0.1 eclipse.

Quite recently I noticed that, in the list of folders, I see 2 "Junk" folders.

On looking at the properties for 1 Junk folder the location is shown as "imap://*********%40gmail.com@imap.gmail.com/Junk",

but properties for the other shown as Junk locates as "imap://*********%40gmail.com@imap.gmail.com/Spam".

I've tried renaming that folder in Thunderbird to Spam but the change doesn't take effect.

What went wrong, and more importantly how can I rename it to see it as "Spam"?

tnx.

I have a filter that moves emails based on the Sender... to a Local Folder (*) The system is set to [Filter After Junk Classification]

Every new email moved (by the Filter) to this Local Folder is marked as Junk. I manually set each email as not-Junk but the issue persists. (*) I have added a Filter action (as well as the Move): Set Junk Status to Not Junk (but this is not successful)

Any suggestions to fix, are welcomed.

My Trash Folder has disappered, no longer appearing under my email account. I can access only: Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Archives, and Junk. When I try to create a Trash Folder under my email account I receive a message that I already have that folder. I uninstalled, then reinstalled, Thunderbird on the possibility that the program was somehow corrupted, but I still cannot see, nor access, a Trash Folder.
