I have been using Thunderbird as my mail service for many years, using it on the PC and my smartphone. Since several weeks ago, for an unknown reason, the "SENT" folder on the smartphone shows all the messages which were sent, but not with the correct name of the person/organization to who the email was sent. All my messages in the "SENT" folder are recorded as having been sent to "Lucie Payant" with a picture of her avatar, instead of showing the name of the real correspondent.

However, the "SENT" folder on my PC is fine and shows the correct correspondent to whom the email was sent to.

I verified all my settings, and, as far as I know, everything seems correct on my cell. This situation is very annoying and confusing.

I generally like thunderbird but when I got my win11 machine and installed it there seem to be some glitchy things.. the one I cant seem to work around it adding new contacts.. the screen does not ever add the contact to the book after I click on the add to link.. It also doesn't allow me to move/scroll around to find other links.. I have tried different screen settings, display resolutions, scaling.. nothing changes the way the add contact displays

I tried changing the value of the field "Displayed name" (I am translating this from the French, I hope it is correct) and select the default email address of that contact, then clicked "Save". It briefly (for a second or so) displayed the contact correctly (with the new displayed name and selected default email) but then reverted immediately to the previous values. When I clicked to edit it, the changes I had made had disappeared. How do I set the values in a contact??? Thanks.

I have been using Thunderbird for 20+ years and am on the latest version, but trying to eliminate what I believe to be old files from legacy versions that have been left behind. I don't want to delete anything and break Thunderbird, but wondered if these files were redundant:

abook.v2.sqlite + abook.v3.sqlite

These haven't changed since 2021 & 2022 apparently.

Also, I have a lot of address books (I find using addresses in a given address book excellent for email filters). Are abook-1.sqlite, abook-2.sqlite etc my individual address books?

If so, how can I tell which file belongs to which address book?

I also have v2 and v3 files (eg: abook-1.v2.sqlite) for most of these.

Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks in advance for any help.

My Address page for New email Contact has gone outside the screen & I have no SAVE button so I cannot complete and save an email address I have tried to use the Zoom button as I had on Windows 10 -= but doesn't work for me on Win 11 ????????????? Eric

I have an old version of Thunderbird on my former laptop and would like to first export the distribution list an then import the distribution list on my new laptop. How do I do that?

I have set up my address book as CardDAV connecting to my Google Contacts. When I update a contact in my Google Contacts online (such as changing the address or phone number), the change doesn't get synced to my Thunderbird contacts unless I go into my TB address book and do a synchronization.

Can my Thunderbird address book be made to automatically sync with Google Contacts every so often?

When I go to import address book into Thunderbird, the Outlook radio button is not selectable. The radio button is stuck on "another Thunderbird installation".

I've tried it again and now the radio button is freed but Outlook is no longer an option. So, I don't know where I should import from.

Not sure I have chosen the right category I have bought a new laptop and have set up Thunderbird as much the same as my old laptop, but I have no address book. Opening my old laptop, I tried to export the address book but Export wants to export everything. I can't work out how to select just address book for Export.

Importing a CSV address file does not allow the resulting folder to be accessed. The address names are visible but they cannot be edited. They cannot be used in email addressing as a group. The data is essentially read only.

I want to use Thunderbird for Android and connected my mailbox with imap and smtp. So far so good. But i dont see a adresboek and i dont know where to connect my carddav addressbook. Can you help me?

My C & D drives restored from a external device except some documents after inadvertently formatting . Then when trying to obtain latest version T-Bird wiped contacts

I have what may be a very simple question. Say I receive an email in which I am one of many people getting the message - as in a message that has gone out to all 10 members of some committee of which I'm a member. I would like to make an entry in my personal address book for the Committee that would include all 10 addresses. Is there an easy way to do this besides (a) individually saving each of the addresses for the Committee members and (b) creating a new address book entry and (c) individually adding each of the 10 committee members? Thanks!

I am trying to export my contacts FROM Thunderbird TO Spectrum email. In Thunderbird, I open my contacts and select my personal address book and click EXPORT. I save the file as vcard to my desktop. I open my Spectrum.net email and click import, select the file and I keep getting an error message saying "we are unable to save your changes, please try again." I contacted Spectrum and they said it was a Thunderbird problem. Can you please help me?
