how can i stop thunderbird from interacting with windows defender anti virus scan? when ever i download or delete emails i get a few seconds of "not responding " and the whole computer is non responsive. i used to be able to turn off real time scan in security and it would work for a day and then windows would enable it again. now since the last upgrade windows isnt allowing me that option any more. solutions?

When I delete an email, it usually goes to the trash, so I can find it again. Now the emails are deleted permanently and disappear. How can I keep my emails in the trash? Sincerely Helle

Hi. When replying to an e-mail, Thunderbird has started to place to input cursor in the TO field instead of the message text field (in this case it should be before the answered text).

in the firefox browser is there any way to see the casting the browser screen to chromecast on tv. similar to 'cast to media device' in edge browser or chrome browser.

Routing the Nekobox proxy through AdGuard does not work in Firefox for Android. In Nekobox, it looks like the packet is sent and connected, but in whatsmyipadress, the original IP address is displayed. I put the local host address and port number for Nekobox in http.proxy in about:config and restarted, but the original IP address is still displayed.

I have managed to figure out ways to remove items from context menus from various pages here and around the web however it always seems to leave an additional unwanted separator line that I cannot find how to get rid of.

There are a number of additional lines I am looking to remove but the current one that is annoying me (based on most usage) is the additional line between 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' and Search which is an add-on - Simple Context Search - https://tinyurl.com/yck5c (as shown in the attachment).

I did have 'search google for...' directly above the 'Search for Google' option which I removed.

I also removed 'Copy Link' which was above the 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' option which I also removed.

Hope the above makes sense and any help greatfully appreciated.

I was looking for an item that would be a couple of years back in my history, only to discover that my history now only goes back a year and 3 months… Exactly, as of today, I don't know if that's meaningful. Does anyone have any idea what might've happened, and how I can restore the rest of my history? Thank you!

I get this Error message when I try to send emails from my outlook email address in Thunderbird. Basically asking me to enter a Password to login to office365 server ! My Password is correct, and has not been changed recently.

Any ideas please ?

Poczta Thunderbird nie ściągą nowych wiadomości, usuwane teraz stare, wracają do folderów głównych. Przy odbieraniu wiadomości pojawia się komunikat jak na zdjęciu. Ostatnia wiadomość pobrano ok. 100razy.

I find it very difficult using Awsome screenshot, in fact I never use it, but used to use it, when it was on my tool bar, can I get it back there.

I cannot drag it from "customise tool bar" as it does not show there, it shows in my list of add ons, I have tried removing it, then reinstalling it.

Since installing Ubuntu 23.10 on my new desktop pc, Thunderbird is failing to see the account details in .thunderbird I copied all the files from my backup into a new account directory (/home/cfi/.thunderbird/y4xyxmli.default), a technique that has worked many times in the past, but not this time. Previously, thunderbird has simply taken the settings from the backed up files and used those to connect to my organisation's mail server. Any ideas? How can I force Thunderbird to read the old account settings?

Mam dużo otwartych kart. Po zamknięciu kilku kart, gdy wyjdę z aplikacji (zminimalizuje ją) i wejdę ponownie karty które zamknąłem nadal są otwarte. Tak jakby otwierają się na nowo. To bardzo duży problem, nie mogę zamknąć kart. Nie znalazłem nigdzie odpowiedzi na ten problem Proszę o pomóc Pozdrawiam serdecznie

This started a few weeks ago. I thought it might have been because I synced the passwords with other devices. I reverted it back.

When in about:logins, I click on the log in button but nothing happens.
