After updating to v 133.0, when maximizing Firefox (not F11 fullscreen), a taskbar that is set to "auto-hide" will no longer unhide when mousing to the bottom of the screen. This did not occur with the previous version (132.0.2).

This behavior is also unaffected by the "devtools.toolbox.alwaysOnTop" setting in about:config as i've tried switching from the default "true" to "false".

Update: Still persists in 136.0.2

I have a HUGE problem with Firefox memory usage. Some open instances of firefox are taking anywhere from 600mb to 2.8gb of memory. Since firefox opens MANY instances even with only ONE active window, this very quickly uses all available memory (4gb) causing a full laptop crash.

More concerning is that CLOSING the worst instance of memory usage STILL leaves the single open page/tab open, so what exactly was the memory eating instance actually doing ???

I have included a screengrab of the many remaining instances of firefox in windows task manager AFTER closing the main culprit.

I have also included a screengrab of all the adblockers I use which I believed would limit unnecessary memory usage, but does not seem to be effective.

I don't know how predictive text turned on but it's running in facebook and gmail. Settings in gmail for predictive texting is turned off, but predictive text continues to run.

I think I am in he correct forum - my apologies of I am "off base" but I am ignorant of computer technology I use an accounting software "reckon" - a programme that originated in America I run firefox as my default browser I run my E mails through G mail

I send invoices from reckon in PDF format attached to an e mail created in Reckon to my clients. Everything ran perfectly (and has done for years) on April 1st. Last week Reckon failed and told me I had the password wrong. (This is rubbish - as nothing has changed) After a week of talking to Reckon help desk I was told that it was Firefox/Gmail who have changed the system and will no longer accept third party interactions. (I think that is what he meant)

Can anyone give me a work round?? Other than printing and scanning and sending manually - I did this yesterday and the time it took was just mind boggling. Many Thanks for any thoughts - as I am not technically minded please be simple in your responses

Firefox has been running incredibly slow. I currently only have this window open, but if I open my task manger it shows 10 Firefox windows running. If I right click and end task, it will end the task, but shortly there after a new one will pop up. 1 of the is running in efficiency mode. I assume this is what is slowing down performance, but I do not know how to fix.

I have connected Thunderbird with my Zoho Mail account. Receiving and reading mails works flawless. But I cant send mails and gets an connection time out message.

Using latest version of Firefox on Windows 7 Regions.com login page. Type in user name, click on continue, get error message: "We can’t locate that page right now." "This could be because the system returned an unexpected error or is temporarily unable to process your request. Please try again later."

Many problems with the new Yahoo e-mail. To send an email, I have to close Firefox, open it, and send the email. There are many other issues." Parts of the interface rolling up, for example, it rolls up, and I cannot get to the "to" send space for the address. Across the top of the pane, the "reply, forward, delete icons are not there. If I restart, they sometimes all return. I cannot empty the trash . . . It goes on and on. Thank you. I've been with Firefox for a long time.

Had a gmail account set up with TB that I removed months ago. I just added a new (different) gmail acct., but the calendar shows the info from the previous acct. What's the best way to remedy this without reinstalling TB?

I exported my profile to an external drive, then reset my Windows 11 PC. The resulting file is a zip file. When I import, the import starts, then stalls and gives an error. The error log is incomprehensible to me. How can I not lose my local folders and messages? I tried unzipping and importing that folder, but another error. I need help! Ideas? Thanks.

I have a Gmail account and in my sent items I am replying to a message that I sent to the same sender as I compose it all is good but when I attach a file it closes and takes me back to the sent item folder.

Facebook is archiving all non-end to end encryption chats and what this means for Facebook messenger video calling will be blocked. When I try to use Video Calling/Chat it tells me it is not supported by my browser, Firefox. I have never had any problems with it before. Is there a fix? Thanks

These are ALL marked Firefox and in order on my Task Manager, the Page 'opened' was Firefox help forum ,,,, some memory usage here, is this right????

I’ve noticed that Firefox consumes a lot of memory, especially when I have multiple tabs open. Sometimes, it slows down my entire system, and Task Manager shows Firefox using over 1GB of RAM even with just a few tabs. Other browsers like Chrome or Edge seem to handle memory better with the same number of tabs.

I’ve tried restarting Firefox, closing unused tabs, and disabling a few extensions, but the problem keeps coming back. I even checked techsquest.com for tips, but I’m still struggling. Are there specific settings, hidden features, or optimizations I can apply to reduce Firefox’s memory usage without sacrificing performance?

Here’s what I’ve already checked:

Firefox is updated to the latest version.

No unusual extensions running (just uBlock Origin and Dark Reader).

Hardware acceleration is enabled.

I have no idea why, but TB is wonking out lately with strange errors?

The folder '[Gmail]/Sent Mail on me@mydomain.com' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again.

I have a ton of space and have not changed anything on the PC?

Any ideas?
