Hi,

Today I installed the new Firefox 74 but now my multirow bookmarks toolbar is not working correct anymore. They are not side by side, they are now among one another. See attached screen, ca. 75% of the screen is used by the bookmarks.

The following code is contained in my userChrome.css file:

/* Multi-Row Bookmarks Toolbar Firefox 66+ */

#PersonalToolbar {
  min-height: unset !important;
  max-height: unset !important;
/* text-align: center !important; */
}

#PersonalToolbar #PlacesToolbarItems {
  overflow-x: visible !important;
  overflow-y: visible !important;
  display: inline-block !important;
}

#PlacesToolbarItems > .bookmark-item > .toolbarbutton-icon[label]:not([label=""]) {
  /* Reduce padding on individual bookmarks to fit rows closer together */
  margin-inline-end: 0px !important;
}

Does anybody have a solution for this?

PS: If you need more info, please ask...

Best regards heusmich

Instead of having my bookmarks under the toolbar, it's along the left side. I have many things in chrome.css, like one that gives me 4 rows of bookmarks, but on the side, it's only one. If I click on one of the ones I can see, it does go to the website, as I can see the correct url in the address bar. However, everything is blank. Even about:config is blank. Safe mode works, but of course doesn't give me my bookmarks or anything else. The extensions that Safe Mode says are disabled are: Amazon Assistant for Firefox, Dashlane, and New Tab Override. Do you need the things from chrome.css to help me troubleshoot? I can't keep using Safe Mode, don't care for Chrome, and refuse to use IE.

For years I've used a userchrome script to show multiple rows of bookmarks, but it no longer works in Firefox 66!

Does anyone know what's gone wrong, or a way this can be fixed?

I cannot function without multi-row bookmarks! I have over 25,000 bookmarks, all neatly organized into folders across five rows of bookmarks. there's no way I could cram all those categories into one single, solitary row.

It's a shame that Firefox has never seriously supported the bookmark bar. It's always been buggy, ugly, cumbersome to use, and never felt very "solid". The menu also has a tendency to disappear, making it hard to organize and drag bookmarks and folders around.

Last year, timeout14 posted "How can I install a second bookmarks toolbar?". The chosen solution was:

"Hi, you will need to use userChrome.css for that. Info on how to use it etc., is here https://www.userchrome.org/what-is-userchrome-css.html"

This worked fine until I was stupid enough to update Firefox Quantum to 66.0.1 (64-bit) which, of course, screwed it up.

Does anyone have a fix or should I stop trusting Firefox updates (sic) and go back to the earlier version?

This is no longer working in 66/66.0.1.

What needs to be adjusted to make this functional again in the latest updates?

Thanks!
