In FF 3.x two commands: "open in window" and "open in new tab" have got just this order. But - I don't know why - in FF 4.x the order is reversed. Every time when I click right button of my mouse and select the second option - where in FF 3.x I've got "open in new tab" I can see web site in a new window, not in a new tab.

How can I change it? I tried editor menu and I edited userchrome.css, but it's not working or I don't know how to change it. Without it I must uninstall FF 4.x because it's unusable.

Address bar and search bar are too large in Firefox 4.12 Beta. I can make one of them smaller but it makes the other one larger to refill the space. Any way to make them both smaller so I can acquire a little more real estate to add one or two more icons? I'm already using "small icons" in the "customize" section. Also, can I move the "home" icon to the left of the address bar since I use it regularly?

Whenever I hover on a link, the URL shows at the bottom left screen instead of the address bar itself. How do I change it? I want to see the URL whenever I hover a link back to the address bar, beside the URL of my current page. Thanks!

So far the Firefox upgrades are nothing but trouble to me and my computer. Where is the homepage. Why when I open Firefox from the desktop shortcut do I not get a homepage, but rather the last page I visited. I was doing bills, and finished but couldn't find the log off button, so closed the page, and then closed firefox. When I re-opened, it opened right to the page where I was still signed into my account!!!!!!! A security failure if I ever saw one. There is not one thing I have found to be helpful since Firefox first updated me to 3.6.14, then quit responding completely! So I tried the 4 Beta, and it is so far a disaster.

I first thought it was something in DNS, but yet this is not a problem in FF3.6.13

My web browsing workflow was as follows- Type name of website in address bar, hit enter, wait for mozilla.org homepage to load.

Now if I do the exact same thing in FF4b12, I get a google search results page instead of the mozilla.org homepage.

Why is that? And where in about:config can I go to fix that?

I have tried this on two different internet connections, my home ISP using the ISP provided DNS and at my workplace where we run an in-house DNS server.

I am on a Mac running Snow Leopard 10.6.6, I use AdblockPlus and FirefoxB persona.

See the google query differences below- FF4b10/11 used it and it works the same in FF3.6

http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=mozilla

This is the query in FF4 b12- http://www.google.com/search?q=mozilla&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

Do you see the difference??

Firefox 3.6 and All betas of 4 will keep my user/pass for sites, then after 1-4 days it removes them, prompting me again. I've been a tech for 12 years, I never had issues before 3.6 and others I know with same browser have same issues (different computers). In short, firefox doesn't keep passwords. Why? Do I need to switch to chrome? That seems to work

Well with firefox 3.6 when you have multiple tabs open and close the browser it ask you if you want to save your session for later, firefox 4 only warns you about closing multiple tabs and doesn't save them for later restoring of your session. Hopes this becomes part of the final release because that is one firefox's most useful features.
