Just received message, by LIFEHACKER, originally discovered by LAYER X, about "17 malicious extensions across numerous browsers", the list which includes Firefox and is supposedly a recent event outside of the earlier (?) event involving the Malware Ghost Poster in downloads previously cleansed by Firefox. Is this old news or is there more Malware that is 'out there' or that could be on my computer without my knowledge? (I do not download willy-nilly....) Would appreciate valid insight if it is just repetitious/old info rehashed for shock value. Thanks!

AT&T/Direct TV Tech Wizards tell Me that your Web Browser is too SECURE... I pay all my Bills using MOZILLA Web, never have a problem. 2 Months ago I have had problems logging on to Direct TV web site to pay my bill. They tell me its your web site... I even told them that I have no problem logging on to Government Web Sites. Can you help me?

The weather widget is set the country I am from, however I would like to actually use a different location for the weather. Is it possible to do? I tried to type in the city I want it to be set to but it only shows cities from my country.

Recently the use of Ctrl+D to open the Edit Bookmark box (save bookmark) stopped working properly: On first press of Ctrl+D nothing happens, then if I press Ctrl+D a second time, the box appears??? The weird thing is that once the box appears with the second press, any subsequent use of Ctrl+D will work the way it should. Windows 11 with no new extensions etc.

I only cleared the cookie for Blogger and cleared my cache. I was logged out of Facebook, Grok, ChatGPT, Linked in and X and possibly more websites I haven't visited yet. I wasn't logged out of Google I don't think. I don't use Google for logging in anywhere and cookies aren't cleared when I close my browser.

I have a fingerprint scanner and a slot for a security key, but I have never used a security key, either in the slot or a USB plugin.

When I try to go to Gmail, I enter my gmail address, and then Firefox pops up a screen wanting me to insert my security key, and there are no buttons to change how I verify my identity.

I've hunted all around for what setting in Firefox is causing it, but no luck so far. Ideas?

I was using my account for sync my bookmarks, but i hope that was saved in my phone. After check CCleaner deleted all from my laptop, i realize that was also deleted from my mobile. ¿How i can recover all my bookmarks that was sync in my account?

I’m experiencing the following issue:

When I open Password Manager (about:logins), the page is completely blank.

This problem started about three months ago, after I updated Firefox to a newer version.

Currently, on the about:logins page, I can export all my accounts and passwords as a CSV file (so the data clearly exists), but nothing is displayed on the page itself.

I also tried importing the same CSV file (exported from about:logins) back into Firefox. After importing, all accounts and passwords appear in the left panel. However, when I click on any item, the right panel is still blank. If I close the page and open about:logins again, the items still do not load.

My current Firefox version is 147.0.

How can I solve this problem?

ok when I up date my lap top and it is time to go pay my bill I have to verify who I am they do not recognize me????? It' a pain in the ass...... I have to get pass numbers etc. to prove who I am. M. Rivero

Недавно столкнулся с проблемой невозможности установки файлов из различных источников (не только с одного конкретного файла), сами файлы тоже разные, от папок до установщиков. Всегда один и тот же паттерн, сначало загружает 30кб, потом загрузка приостонавливается, проходит 3-4 минуты и он обозначается как "не удалось". Пробовал решить проблему, ничего не вышло.

Why did retrieving messages suddenly stop. It was working yesterday and I made no changes to anything. I can send successfully. I am using Shaw/Rogers Pop server.

Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Firefox (and add Sites shortcuts) 2. Do not navigate to any website 3. Observe network activity using Process Monitor or clash verge

Expected Behavior: - Opening about:home should not establish TCP connections to remote sites unless the user interacts with them.

Actual Behavior: - TCP connections are observed immediately to sites listed in Top Sites shortcuts, even without user interaction.

Notes: - Disabling DNS prefetch, speculative preconnect, and predictor settings does not prevent these connections. - Extensions have been ruled out, I can distinguish darkreader.org(extention) mozilla.org(update) and reddit.com(your sponsor url) from *.edu.*(my shortcuts), DON'T mention that. - Connections occur before any page navigation or clicks. - I suspect that Firefox may attempt to load site icons (favicon / tile thumbnails), but this is unconfirmed.
