Hi - Is there an updated bookmarks tutorial? just uploaded a new firefox version that seems to no longer have the recent bookmarks tab?

I'm older (and not computer savvy) and will admit that i find IE bookmarks convenient, easy to use with folders, one or two clicks, etc........ but firefox bookmarks? seems designed to be more difficult and security notwithstanding has forced me to use other browsers. Or am I just making it harder?

I would like to have different default search engines for the URL bar and the search bar. For example have a query typed in the URL bar use DuckDuckGo by default. But a query in the search bar use Google by default. I am aware that it's possible to use shortcut strings, use alt+arrows to cycle through the options, or select a different search engine from the icons. I'd like to be able to set them differently without any of that.

I have long had Thunderbird configured the way I like it on Windows 10 - a folder browser on the left, a listbox with one text line per email along the top, and the majority of the window showing the currently-selected window. Each entry in the listbox has multiple columns, with subject, sender, date, etc.

The individual items within the listbox on Windows 11 are very wide - the same-size pane that showed ten emails now shows only three. (the folder browser pane is also now only as tall as the email pane instead of being the whole left side.) And it's not arranged in columns; the subject and sender stack atop one another and htere's a blank line beneath them; no column headings or column-click-to-sort. It's now intolerable to browse.

Yes, I have a cluttered inbox and many cluttered folders. But I would like to see a dozen emails at a time, not three or four, and have column headings I can use to sort email easily. Is there any way to force the email list to be a traditional compact listbox on Windows 11, or is this simply a Win11 system interface choice we can't do anything about?

My Thunderbird has suddenly become corrupted and I can't read my emails. I enclose a screenshot of a message which I am presently unable to delete.

I am trying to re-enable sofascore notifications but in permission panel just seems cookies not notification permissions. I tried to forgot site and delete cookies but it didn't work. How can i solve this?

I have 2 rows of Shortcuts selected & I can see the "Shortcut Icon or Favicon", however one of them is still showing an old one for a website & I know that the site actually have a new Favicon displayed. Why am I still seeing the old one? Is there a way to refresh my page so I see the new one? Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers, Stan

I am using latest firefox developer edition. After firefox updated automatically, I found that I lost toolbar customization settings. I reconfigured everything, but the next day when it updates I lost the settings again. It seems that there is a bug in Firefox. How can I fix this? If this is a bug, when will it be fixed?

I have set up Syncing on Firefox and it was simple but I can't figure out how to do it in Thunderbird. I am recovering from a PC Reset and want to ensure I do not lose anything if I have to have my Iaptop sent away to be repaired.

I spent a long time looking for an email today. I sent it earlier in the day so was looking at the latest messages with todays date. I eventually found it after srearching for the Subject. The message was threaded but the message showing was from a few days ago. That was when I noticed the little arrow. That was when all was revealed. The version of TBird I used until I Reset PC last week did not have settings like that.

my fit to page is NOT a matter of zoom. No matter what size it is some of the page is off the screen. And when I try to type an e-mail there is no space showing what I am typing. The e-mail space will not expand. All this happened when I chose to make Firefox my default. before that there was no problem

I reinstalled windows 10 and this is my second laptop that microsoft seems to have locked the sound use on any other browser than microsoft edge, sound works perfectly on microsoft edge but will not work on any other browser, has anybody else had this issue, i have contacted Mozilla before but nobody answers. thankyou

After the latest update of Thunderbird (128.3.0esr) it is not possible to postpone calendar data (dates, task) via drag and drop. Is that a bug or a matter of setting? Thanks for help!

I am using Mozilla Firefox Developers Edition for Windows 11. Recently I have encountered a problem where my bookmarks are constantly disappearing from the panel and toolbar elements are changing places (like the arrows or the reload button).

I read the support and came across three articles about problems with this. The first two were xulstore and Places.sqlite files, which I deleted and followed the instructions in the article, reset the browser settings, but nothing happened. The third article was about the profile, I went in and saw that I had two profiles, which I deleted and created a new one, completely previously removed the browser from the device. But again, nothing happened.

I think this started when I started using the built-in Windows 11 workspace feature (multiple desktops, I opened two browsers at the same time). It was after this that my bookmarks and toolbar changed in the pre-login in the application.

I would appreciate help with this issue.

Hi,

I'm using an online phone system which comes as a mini-window (see picture). Is there a way that I can make this 1 mini-window with the phone in it stay always on top of my other firefox window?

Everytime I restart my PC and open firefox the window has reverted to some default configuration. The new tab button is gone, the forward and back buttons are on the right hand side (usually they are on the left), and the bookmarks window is gone. I can then "refresh firefox" to have it revert to the correct setup.

Is there a way to stop this from happening. I restart my PC often, it would be nice for firefox to not do this

Hello, how can I remove or hide "List all tabs" btn?

Set "browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled" as "false" stopped working for me after update to version 131.0. Hiding the btn before version 131.0 was not a problem.

I live in Port Elizabeth South Africa. When I search for a business in Firefox, it shows me results for Cape Town businesses - 800 km away from where I live. How can I change this?

It's the thing on the end of my list of tabs. It has NO OPTION to remove it and serves no purpose. I hate change, I like my browser just the way it is, I will never use this. How the hell do I get RID OF IT.
