Dear Firefox Support Team,

After reinstalling Firefox and logging into my account, my saved passwords, bookmarks, and other data have not synced and are missing.

I have confirmed I'm using the correct account and that sync is enabled for all data types.

Please advise on how I can recover my information. Thank you for your assistance.

New computer. Cannot import bookmarks or passwords. cannot save bookmarks or passwords. Will be forced against my will to use Microsoft. Sync won't easily connect old computer to new. Only computer to phone. Help ! old win 10 new win 11

Hello, After performing a clean install of the OS, I logged in to my firefox account. But it is not syncing the passwords. I tried installing firefox to my phone, also not syninc. Hello, All my fav and password have defaulted on new PC (none have synced over). I have no access to my old PC that i use firefox sync account (always save pw and urls). Faulty harddrive. On my new PC i forgot my Firefox password so did pw recovery with my MFA. All fine but none of my fav and passwords synced over (over 200 urls and 50+ passwords)

I still have my original recovery key there is no options to enter this after firefox login on my new PC.

Please help.

please, there isnt a "sync and save your data" option!! there is no qr scanner or use email instead prompt. just that MOCKING little "sync now" in account settings that does nothing!! PLEASE

My account won't sync my old passwords and browser history. I recently reinstalled windows and when I tried to sign in to my mozilla account my data wasn't there.

I just wanted create Account recovery key to keep my account more secure. So I did that + updated my password.

Now when I open the browser, it says account disconnected and that I need to create a new profile. I did that, but it started syncing from old chrome account with old extensions, bookmarks etc. Plus bookmarks from my phone.

I try to sign in and create new profile with the original profile settings that I want. But it keeps saying "This profile was previously synced to a different account". And now that I saved the bookmarks and made a third, fourth profile. Those don't work as it wants me to sign in. Only the 2nd profile that Firefox made me create which has the old extensions, bookmarks etc. It is missing a lot. So now I am just stuck in create profile loop. And cant use the one I want because I wanted more security? Do I need to uninstall and install again, would that help? I wish there was someone to talk to help me. I just want to use my original profile that I used earlier today to update the security settings.

Hello, my old laptop broke. I bought a new one, installed Firefox, and signed into my Firefox account. My add-ons synced, but my passwords and bookmarks are gone. I can't access the old laptop now. Is there a way to fix this without a backup file? Or are add-ons the most I can get? Both devices have been added to the devices in the Firefox account.

not sure how to bring Firefox bookmarks from my old laptop to my new one. Hate to lose them all ! i got a new lap top, have signed into Firefox, but don't see my bookmarks. Help.

I had a previous account with firefox on a different computer and attempted to login on a new one, but once i logged in none of my passwords or data transferred even though it was the same account, just curious if there’s any way i can get my info onto my new computer besides using a sync key or manually importing it

I recently noticed an unknown Outlook/Microsoft account (oliveconscious13@outlook.com) saved in my Firefox logins. The email and password appear to be randomly generated, and the account’s preferred language is set to Russian. I have never seen or used this account before.

Here are the key details:

My Firefox account was created on June 8, 2025.

The unknown Microsoft account was created on July 8, 2025.

I only have two devices connected to my Firefox account: my Mac (where the account first appeared) and my Windows PC.

The account is also showing up in Chrome’s saved passwords, which I never intentionally synced with Firefox.

This is a brand-new Mac purchased directly from Apple, so I know it wasn’t a used device.

I’m trying to figure out:

How this account was added to my saved logins.

Whether this was synced from another device.

If there’s any security concern or if my account may be compromised.

Could you check my sync history or logs to see which device added this login, and advise on how to make sure my saved logins are secure?

Desktop browser: no Bookmarks Phone browser: Bookmarks Goal: Sync phone browser Bookmarks to desktop browser Bookmarks. Danger: backup Bookmarks before Sync syncs wrong way and no data wipes data device.

Desktop browser sync prompt is wrong: Menu -> tap Sync and save data -> tap Ready to Scan -> scan desktop Firefox QR code -> Pairing unsuccessful. Try again. OK

Here's the correct steps: Sync your Firefox experience -> tap I already have Firefox for mobile -> tap Continue -> Sync Firefox on your phone or tablet -> open Firefox 144.1 (62735) on phone -> tap Menu (3 dots at bottom) -> tap Settings -> tap Sync Now -> desktop Firefox -> open new Tab -> Bookmarks appear -> right click Import bookmarks from another browser to Firefox -> tap Remove from Toolbar.

I reinstalled the operating system, so to speak, changed my device. I clicked the sync button and it worked. I reinstalled the operating system and reinstalled the browser. I logged in, nothing happened. I rebooted, nothing changed. I clicked sync, everything was the same. Where are my bookmarks and passwords?

I sync tabs with multiple devices, but I cannot get my tabs to sync with my iPad. I have tried scanning the QR code from my desktop browser. I have tried entering the password. The process never finishes on the iPad, even after the desktop browser said the process was complete.

I have changed operating systems from windows to linux mint. I made sure to sync my profile before uninstalling, but now the profile looks to be empty. there are no saved passwords or bookmarks. This worked when I changed between different windows devices last year, but this time it seems stuck. I will check on a windows device when able, but in the meantime, are there any other ways to troubleshoot this?

Firefox updated to the latest version and it lost everything. All my saved passwords are gone, all my bookmarks, data, etc. It said I could sign in with my account and it would sync them and bring them all over, it didn't. I can't use the original profile because it says it's outdated, I don't even know if it's the correct profile anyway. What am I supposed to do?

I need to retrieve ALL my tabs from this device For some issues i could'nt to it all before.

Now, i can see in my firefox profil pge, the profil exist. But if i go to my firefox installed in my new computer, i don't see THIS firefox device with ALL my VERY IMPORTANT tabs.

Is there any way to retrieve them ?

I synced my data today in mozilla and after that i reinstalled windows on my PC. now i installed fresh mozilla and logged in into my account but my data is not synced... i lost a lot of open tabs,bookmarks etc... what can i do? is synced version still somewhere or what? i did everything as i supposed to do but i cant see my previous open tabs and bookmarks..
