Since I am on my new Phone (Xiaomi Poco F6, Hyper OS 1.0.4.0, Android 14.UKQ1.240116.001), I have this weird thing with Firefox that when I minimize it and then come back a few seconds later, it will automatically reload the tab I was on. Which is extremely annoying because, for example, I was on the Paypal page and was getting my login code from messages, then when I got back on the Paypal page it reloaded and I could not insert the code, but had to click on 'send code' again (and again and again). I saw this issue appear multiple times apparently already on reddit and co. But nowhere I could find an answer to it. Someone? I looked in the battery saver settings and in firefox settings etc, but I can't find anything that makes tabs reload automatically and it makes no sense that anything would clear the cache every time I minimize firefox, no?

The behavior of Firefox on my iPad when long-pressing a link and selecting the “Open link in new tab” option is counter to how it should operate. It opens the link in a new background tab. It should open the link in a new tab and bring that tab to the foreground, like it does in the desktop app.

when i have more than 10 pages open the app starts crashing, won't let me go back as well and sometimes just reloads. There were also situations in which he grabbed me without me doing anything. I have about 4-5 extensions (in the photo). I'm using Samsung Galaxy S24, my previous was A52 (I had no problem with it)

Firefox for iOS version 127.0 (42448) deletes tabs when app is closed. The option to keep tabs when the apps is closed has been removed from the privacy menu. So how can I configure the app to keep tabs between sessions?

After updating to version 129.2 on my iPhone, I can no longer rearrange my tabs. I can tap and hold on a tab and move it but then it snaps back to the old position. This is making the browser unusable for me. I have tried closing and reopening the app and restarting my iPhone but neither worked.

I am writing to request assistance with an issue I am encountering on the latest version of the Firefox browser for Android. My goal is to open specified pages in the same tab using Intent from a third-party custom application. However, I have observed that different URLs open in separate tabs, contrary to my expectations.  Current Implementation:  Here is the code snippet I am currently using: java： Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW); intent.setData(uri); intent.putExtra(Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID, packageName); startActivity(intent); Expected Behavior:  I expect different URLs to open in the same tab without opening new tabs. This functionality is crucial for my application.  Issue Background:  I have researched similar issues and found that users have had comparable needs using Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID. Unfortunately, it appears that Firefox has not fully addressed this functionality. The EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID is a feature that modern browsers should ideally support to enhance user experience and maintain continuity within a single tab. I’m having a problem very similar to the one described here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1421173 from last year. Ever since the version 127.0 update from last week, all my private tabs are GONE. My regular tabs, including inactive tabs, are fine but more than 40 private tabs were lost (and I’m pissed because the nature of what those tabs were makes them very difficult to go re-find). Now, anything I open as a private tab vanishes if I leave the app for more than just a moment, even if I left it open to that tab. It makes the private browsing function effectively unusable for anything I’m not gonna just sit down and do in one sitting.

I don’t expect my 40+ lost tabs recovered, it’s a pain but it’ll be fine, but the function issue is NOT fine and needs to be fixed!

Sorry this is not a question but I can't find a email for Mozilla mobile for android we need a way to make it harder to accidently close a tab and also an option is setting to bringing back said closed tab with a longer time not 3seconds so who ever gets this please send it to a Mozilla worker.

Since a while, when I click on a link in a Google search result, the link opens in a blank tab (about:blank). Opening the link via the context menu "open in new tab" works without any probem. This happens on a iPad with iPadOS 16.7.6 with Firefox 124.0 (39709). FF is set as standard browser. Does not happen in Safari or Chrome.

i really need to PERMANENTLY DISABLE the infernal, default auto-refresh session on return to already opened tab. tyranny of the default on Android.

if/when i want to refresh that session, i'll do so MANUALLY.

i want this, not only in alpha, but beta & standard, too. so, it just can't be buried in about:config, which is nanny-state removed from standard. it must be exposed in UI Settings.

i'm not the first or only to request this.

In the past you could send links by long-pressing them and using the context menu to send them to other devices(not the android "share" option)

Why was this removed and more importantly: how do I get it back?

Looking for support on searching for tabs on Firefox for Android which is similar to the [version] .

On my iPad when I tap on Menu Icon > History > Trash Icon > Everything, the tabs refresh/flash and then the order of the tabs change. For example,

Old tabs: 1 2 3 4 (active tab is 2) New tabs after clearing the history: 1 3 4 2 (active tab is now 3)

Is there a way to prevent this? I’d like to keep the original order of my tabs.

Whenever the app leaves the foreground, even for half a second, or if I switch tabs and then return to the original tab, it refreshes and I lose all the data on it. When I need to copy information to fill out a form, or get a code from a 2fa app, I lose all the the progress. This is driving me crazy and making it almost impossible for me to use Firefox as my main browser. I shouldn't have to restart a whole form because I got a phone call and went to the call screen for a second. Battery optimizations are all disabled.
