Happened a few days ago - up till then no problems for years! Checked the net for advice. Did the Tools; Settings; Privacy and Security; Saved Passwords tab proceedure and displayed small window headed "Saved Logins"; then clicked on the "Show Passwords" tab to see if the password manager had the one I used still stored. Unfortunately then up pops a window asking for me to enter my username and PASSWORD - the latter I am trying to ascertain so am just going round in circles! Any ideas, please. I've been using Thunderbird for years on Windows 10 without any issues. How ever I can't send or receive emails on Windows 11. I'm using the same server settings on both installations. Webmail works fine

Recently I have been getting this message when I open my Thunderbird email account: "login to server imap@windstream.net with username opx failed." When I close this message screen, my email is there, sending and receiving, and everything works normally. However, I'd like to get rid of the message screen permanently, if possible. So far I have tried the following:

Changed from "normal password" login to OAuth2. The message stopped appearing, but my incoming mail wouldn't load.

Tried Thunderbird troubleshoot mode. The screen still appeared.

Opened in Windows Safe Mode. Got this message: "Server not found."

If there are any other suggestions, I'd be happy to try them, as long as they are within my limited grasp of troubleshooting. Thank you!

I followed these directions but in "Roaming"! What do I do now?

I Menu app icon > Help > More Troubleshooting Information

   Under 'Application Basics' - Profile Folder - click on 'Open Folder' 

This opens a new window showing the contents of your current in use profile name folder.

   Exit Thunderbird now - this is important. 

Look for the following files and delete them.

   cert8.db - obselete file
   cert9.db - currently used file
   key3.db - obselete file
   key4.db - current used file
   logins.json - current used file
   pkcs11.txt (some people report this file missing)
   secmod.db - obselete file
   session.json
   xulstore.json 

See next comment before you start Thunderbird as you need to empty cache files.

Start Thunderbird

Add yahoo and make sure all the settings are correct. Make sure Authentication Method is Oauth and user name is full yahoo email address.

Report on results.

ADDITIONAL Whilst Thunderbird is closed - after you have deleted the files mentioned previously.

access : C:/Users/ User Account/Appdata/Local/Thunderbird/Profiles/ Please note this is the Appdata 'Local' location which the computer uses as a cache. Be sure you are in the 'Local' and not the 'Roaming' Delete the contents of the 'Profiles' folder.

then start Thunderbird. keep having to reset my secure key password and tried this in "Roaming" instead of "Local" Help!

I have my one main account up and running again (for now) but my secodary account I can't recall my password.

is there any way to keep my secondary account but update and change the password for it??

Won't allow me access - keeps kicking me out - until I can get the account and password to match up

My "Pearls Peril" game is unable to open for past week. I've tried checking and rechecking Firefox (not my default browser) where I've always played "PP" and "JJ". "June's Journey doesn't completely fill the screen; there's a red band about an inch thick.

Help me return to correct settings in Firefox so I can enjoy playing "June's Journey" and "Pearl's Peril"(which isn't opening). As I explained in my question, there's a wide band across top of "JJ" game which appeared, as well.

 About one week ago, I was trying to re-set use of my debit card, was unable to as I'd probably severely cancelled it 6 months ago. I don't have a clue as to what the connection between these two activities have to do with each other but it's all I have to go on.

Thank you for any help! I've asked Wooga to give me some steps; I tried following them but Pearl Problems continue to plague me.
