reading the documentation it seems to me that the only way to bring a message filter from one account to others is to export the filter and import it into the desired account.

It could be useful, when I decide to create a filter, to have the possibility to automatically spread it across all accounts ?

I am referring in particular to the creation of filters on header "From, To, CC, Bcc" where in each account I have created a SPAM folder (with the same folder name) to trash messages.

Thanks. marvin

Hello. In Thunderbird 128.10.1esr (64-bit), when I click on an email to view, and that email has an attachment, an error pop-up occurs that says "No Apps available" and "No apps installed that can open..." This occurs for the number of attachments I happen to have in that email. So 3 attachments, 3 pop-ups.

First, I haven't even tried to open the attachment yet, I'm simply viewing the email. Secondly, if I cancel out the error pop-ups, I can still open the attachments in my default programs.

Any help on how to fix this (or turn it off) would be greatly appreciated.

I have not installed older versions of Thunderbird to see if it would go away, though I suspect it eventually could as I didn't always experience this. I did also update my Linux distro fairly recently, but it was after this started occuring.

I'm using Linux Mint Cinnamon 20.3 and flatpak to install/update Thunderbird

I have Version 128.5.2esr (64-bit), it says it is up to date.

So I've been noticing a couple of days now that I can no longer view messages in the message pane to the right of the screen. When I click on an email in the list on the left, the top of the pane on the right shows me the To, From, subject etc, as well as a yellow bar saying "Warning: To protect your privacy, Thunderbird has blocked remote content in this message." Then, nothing underneath this. Where it used to show the email contents. I do NOT want to have to double click every single email in my inbox to look at them in a separate tab. Most of what I get is not useful. I want to be able to click once and preview the email, then click Down to check the next one, and on and on the same as Thunderbird did it LAST WEEK.

Can someone help me get it back to working please? Thanks!

Since upgrade to 128.10.1esr, list of emails in local folders is visible, but cannot view email contents, cannot forward, cannot reply, cannot move, cannot delete.

IMAP folder functionality is all OK.

Occurs in both 64 bit and 32 bit versions of 128.10.1esr

After this occurred on 64 bit machine, we had 32 bit two machines running a previous version of Thunderbird that were still able to access (read, forward, delete, etc) emails in the same local folders (local folders are on network and accessible to 3 different computers).

After upgrading one of them, access to emails on local folders broke on that one, but still working on remaining machine running older version.

This means it is not corruption of local folders (e.g. folder repair and .msf deletion don't make any difference).

It seems to be a problem with this version since update.

How can this be fixed, do we need to wait for another update?

After update 138.0.1 my profile is not "opening" emails.

I can see that im getting emails, i can see that i can send and make new emails, but the emails when i either click or double click them are "white".

I even tried reading the "source code" it shows nothing. I even tried going to the beta channel, but no avail, the issue persists.

Is there a cleanup, any file to delete? something?

Headers are inconsequential, compared to the actual message content, I'm sure everybody will agree!

But on Thunderbird, recently, the headers take up almost HALF of the available space on the screen!

I have tried everything to reduce the message headers to ONE LINE (that is all it needs) but nothing works!!!

Have a look at FoxMail (screenshot below)! Compare it with how my Thunderbird looks (screenshot below)!

These are actual screenshots of what my entire screen looks like, with Thunderbird and FoxMail.

Foxmail has clean, simple, one line headers, with the message body taking up the maximum viewable space on the page! Thunderbird is almost 50% WASTED screen space!!!!

BTW the add-on / extension "Compact Headers" does not seem to work with the latest versions of Thunderbird.

Thank You!

I've setup a filter rule to auto-reply to emails while I am on holidays and this works well. However, there are some businesses who will continue to have me on a cc list or in a team distribution list.

The idea is to only send an out of office reply once. I think Outlook does that from memory.

Is there a way to do it in Thunderbird or is this currently not do-able within the Thunderbird base product or via extension/addon?

Running Version 138.0.1 64bit.
