When I click on a folder with multiple messages, each of which has a thread with multiple messages, all of the threads are automatically expanded. If I collapse each message thread, leave that folder, then return to that folder, all of the message threads are again fully expanded.

Is there a way to stop this automatic thread expansion each time a folder is opened?

This happens about every three or four major updates: After the programmers monkey with the interface, part of my personalizations disappear. This time, it's the text menus at the top of the screen. (And it's two computers since the last time I had a solution to this.)

The "menu hamburger" is not sufficient for touch-typists. I want the icons off to the right of the text menus, on the same line, the way it's been possible to establish since Tbird was in the low-30s for version numbers. Instead, the update refused to respect my personalizations, and hid the menu bar completely and makes it impossible to combine with the icons. I dimly recall that there was an about:config solution to this in earlier versions, but can't remember or find it (or confirm it would work with Eclipse).

for some reason after latest update all my mail that i get usualy was in black color now is nrmal like i have read them and all that it confuse me and i start thing to go back to outlook .Ihave try many solutions that i found on internet but nothing work any idea what is the problem and one day my mails start looking like that??? i have version 128.12.esr(32bit) with windows 10 (64)

firefox need to detect and know how much monitors and screens like 1,2,3,4 to know to open new window always in monitor 1, screen 1. in now is open always is where is placed first open firefox program window. that is happened when i start firefox in screen 1 and move it to second monitor screen 2 all others start opened program windows open in screen 2 monitor 2. this is not good. if i will come time to hav 4 monitors and 4 screens what we do ?!?!? chasing where is open firefox program in all monitors.

second. all firefox opened program windows and loaded links in them need to remember where is closed to remember where is need to open in next time like monitor number and screen number. also what is size of program window is in moment of closing of program window.

talk about it and see what you will do about this futures in new updates.

Hi, Is it possible to change the Thunderbird folder pane (folderTree) appearance to look like the Thunderbird 102 style shown in your screenshot (smaller, more compact, and using simpler icons). Like imge below this

I using thunderbird version 115.10.1 and i try use CustomCSSforTb but it only change icon and colors. I cant change the tree folder style.

This is a bit of an odd question, but I'm gutted. I have pretty severe OCD and AI tools have become very problematic for my reassurance seeking behaviors. I just got all of them blocked using tools like coldturkey and screen time. Now as of this update they're all in my firefox sidebar, and so far I see no way to block, only hide them (the trouble here is I know it's there, if I'm feeling a compulsion it's incredibly difficult not to follow through). Is there any iron clad way to block this? I hate how hard these things are being pushed!

Dragging and dropping a folder into another folder opens target folder. It shouldn't do that. The target folder should simply accept the folder being dragged into it and stay closed, as it always did since inception until a few versions ago. It is sooo annoying to always have the target folder fully expand when I have not desired it to do so! How can I prevent that from happening? Any help much appreciated.

Hello, I usually redirect incoming email automatically to custom local subfolders (POP account).

Today I noticed that, since october 2024, my Message Filters started copying emails, instead of moving them, despite the still-correct instruction. So I'm left with a bunch of duplicates.

Does anyone know how to fix this bug?

I've got Windows 10 set up for a custom 'blank page' background color through a registry edit; I find a light gray-green much kinder on the eyes. This color came up just fine on a New Message (compose) page in Thunderbird until yesterday, but seems to have been broken by a Windows 10 Update yesterday (7/9/25) to Version 10.0.19045. My custom color still appears behind Microsoft system and app pages (Word & Excel), but no longer is the background for Thunderbird or Firefox, although it does appear behind address bars. Any ideas on why or how to fix would be most welcome.

I was planning to start using the AI chatbot sidebar finally, tried out all of the free options available and settled on HuggingChat. The very next day, HuggingChat ceased operations. I don't really like the other preset options, but I have a couple of other models that I would be interested in trying out. Is there some way to add a different model than the five preset or am I just out of luck?

As Outlook online and the mobile app are using a different archive folder than Thunderbird (128.12 on Win 10), I set TB to use the same folder as Outlook (similar problem to here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1168534). But TB is ignoring it and even after unsubsubscribing and deleting the TB archive folder in Outlook, TB is recreating it after archiving the next e-mail. It also ignores the option to put all the mails in one folder and instead creates a one for each year. What can I do?

So every time Firefox has an update for my tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, 64GB SM-X200, Android 14, One UI 6.1) the settings always, ALWAYS reset. I have to go back in and change everything back to my preferences. I've cleared cache, restarted who knows how many times and it still happens.

I have Firefox on other devices, both Samsung and otherwise, and it doesn't happen anywhere but my tablet.

Ideas? Suggestions?

is it possible to set the width of the columns in Thunderbird Task section using the userChrome.css? If so, what are the CSS commands for the columns?

I ask this question because with the help of the userChrome.css is it possible to set the width of the columns in the email list, like so for the "Date" column:

I have Thunderbird 140 set up in cards view (threaded). Under Row count I can choose 2 rows or 3 rows. But all that choosing 3 rows does is place an empty row below the subject line. I was expecting it to show me the first line of the email content. Can that be configured? Or what else is the third row supposed to display? (other than the star for favorites, which always appears in the lower right corner but hardly needs an entire row by itself)

Is there a way to have the TAB function in an email message body with an option to produce a string of dots, instead of just a blank space? I would particularly love to have it line up subsequent rows on the accounting decimal point when the $ sign is used.

EG with a list of expenditures:

Home Depot .....................$50.00 Office Depot ...................$200.00 Starbucks...........................$37.50

When I chose a color for a phrase in my email, I accidentally added a color I don't want to the list of custom colors. It was a shade off. How can I delete this so that I won't use it again?
