Firefox 117.0.1 Windows 10.0.19045 Build 19045 Unable to download statements on Barclaycard site. Just spent ages with Barclaycard chat who continued to say Firefox does not support pdf even though I said I was downloading on many other sites no problems. On Barclaycard site I did a transaction search and downloaded the result as a pdf OK. pdf downloads open directly in Adobe reader. Trying to download a statement does nothing, no error, just nothing. Microsoft Edge works ok. Been using Firefox for years on this site no problem. A latest Firefox update problem?

For the past few weeks, I've been having a problem with Thunderbird's buttons. When I have an email open, I can usually click the "delete" or "junk" button to send it where it needs to go, and the next email will automatically appear. But recently, those buttons only work once: if I click "delete" or "junk" on the second email that comes up, nothing happens. I have to close that email and delete or junk it from the Inbox. Am I the only person having this problem? I tried deleting the Trash files in the profile, but that didn't help.

I tried `firefox` `firefox-esr` `thunderbird``firefox -P`. I also deleted `~/.mozilla`, `firefox -p presaved-profile-dir` stay the same.

the `firefox binary` and the `profile dir` are all useful because I saved them to zip file and use them every day. So is there any other dir besides the 2 dir which fails the startup? even thunderbird fail with the same reason.

As I use Firefox throughout the day, webpages will just stop for a bit. Sometimes its only a few seconds, other times for a few minutes. It is most noticeable when playing videos but does happen at other times as well. During the halt, I can still access Firefox's settings and all menu items. It is just website interactions that stop.

For example, when a halt occurs on youtube, the video will eventually stop, depending on the buffer, and scrolling through the comments won't pull up any more and replies won't load. Then after a few moments, everything will start working again without issue, and all the uncompleted actions (such as opening new replies or trying to go to another page) will execute.

I used to think it was related to my computer's connection to our company's access server, but refreshing my connection through a CMD ipconfig /renewall worked so rarely that I assume it was just coincidental timing.

I also tried turning off hardware acceleration, but that had no positive effect. I'll make a separate post about that issue.

The thing that fixes it every time is odd: launching Chrome. I wanted to make sure it was just Firefox, so I tried launching Chrome, and then Firefox started working immediately. (Spotify still plays when Firefox halts too)

Is there anything I can adjust to keep this halting from happening? I can manage right now, but it is sort of annoying to launch Chrome every time.

I updated Thunderbird from version 102.14.0 to version 115.1.0 and I have a problem. I don't see any emails, nor folders, nor accounts, nothing. Only on startup do I see the accounts being updated and new mail being downloaded. I can see all the accounts in the account settings. But I can't access the emails. Can you please advise how to solve this problem? Profim can no longer be returned to version 102.14.0. Please help quickly. Well thank you.

Thunderbird updated on my system today.....ever since that it will not connect to my gmail account I get a popup and when i click on next i get an error messaging saying

Google 400. That's an error.

"The server can not process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That's all we know"

Everything was completely fine up until this update!

I need to protect several people who do not need to have their day FUBAR'ed by this corrupt version.

Heck, I need my installation to be rolled back to existing stable.

It's currently unusable.

I tried to get rid of an additional and interfering 'Local Folders. According to a helpful article, I should deal with that in 'Server Settings.'

My Server Settings are in 'Account Settings' and only give connection instructions. It makes me surmise that there is something wrong that I won't be able to put right.

At least, understanding the problem makes me careful about checking for emails in odd places before complaining about my correspondent not responding.

However, is there something I could do without losing the main structure of Local Folders? With thanks, Ulrike

I Closed the browser and forgot that I had a private one open too. When I went to open the main Firefox window up, my previous session was wiped! I already tried the right clicking plus sign method to no avail. It just brings up the one I had after searching how to bring back the session and then accidentally closed the browser after. Any tips on how to get it back? Why does this happen just because you have a private window open??? Change that ASAP!

Watching videos on Twitter/X doesn't seem to work too well on Firefox. I don't have an account, but I sometimes have to watch a clip on the site. The problem is that you cannot skip the video i.e. you cannot move the dot that shows where you are on the video; you have to watch it from the start, till the end. You cannot also change the volume, apart from clicking on the "mute", so technically here you have the options of full sound and no sound. Twitter has always worked perfectly on the Microsoft Edge that came with the Windows on this desktop PC (bought in fall 2020).

Since installing Supernova, I find a huge (multiple minute) delay whenever I open a folder to a new tab or window. There was zero delay on the prior version to open a folder, so it appears to be specific to Supernova. I'm surprised that no one else has mentioned it on the forums yet, so it seems it might just be something about my particular setup. Can anyone help me diagnose what I might be doing wrong?

172.16.32.1 is the login page for a WiFi offered by my landlord. Sometimes I am able to go to that page and login and sometimes your browser refuses me access. Please help me fix this and allow me to use my landlords WiFi. If you are unable to assist, please direct me to a browser I can download that will allow me to use my apartment's wifi. In settings it use to say "open links in new tabs" now it just says "Open links in tabs instead of new windows"... what happened to "open links in NEW tab"? That would be the preferred option. When I'm in a tab and there's a link I click on I do not want to lose what I'm currently in, I want the link to open in a NEW tab. This has really gotten annoying!

My Firefox tab crashes often. I eventually need to reboot Firefox. My Windows 11 patches is always up to date and I did system checkups often. I cleared cache files too.

Firefox browser on Android is not opening mail apps when clicking Mailto link. Screen goes blank. No action. Firefox laptop browser works fine, opens mail app when Mailto link is clicked. Picture shows "President" highlighted in orange...this means the link was clicked but the browser didnt execute the send email command, so no mail apps opened. Used Chrome on this link and it opened a window with several mail app options.

Many websites I use on a regular basis have become unusable on firefox which i have used for over a decade. I can't change my Flickr cover photo because the pop up window is too huge, can't view a complete google doc because the thing is enormous, etc. The issue is that I MUST have the ability to set text in firefox to larger and I do so via the view - zoom in and zoom text only options. I have to have this ability because I have a visual disability. I do not have this issue using chrome but I detest chrome and want to keep using firefox, but entire portions of windows are cut off when they open up and I can't access them by zooming out either. The only thing that changes is the text gets so small that it is totally unreadable. This is a HUGE problem for me. I will NOT change my default windows setting to try and fix a firefox issue because that then screws up my window sizes for games, programs etc for my other software that I also use daily. So I won't be changing what works for 20 programs via windows settings to make ONE browser work better. This is a firefox problem, and firefox needs to fix it. I have tried multiple solutions cited online and nothing is working. If firefox is trying to get rid of it's users with visual disabilities, this is the way to go. Is there a better place than this to give feedback on version 115 of Thunderbird?

In case this is a suitable place, here's what I think after using version 115 for about 1 day.

1. Too many keystrokes to go from folders list to messages list and back. (I expect I'll get used to this after a while.)

2. Thunderbird does not show where my unread messages are. Right now it is showing that I have 9 unread messages in my inbox or subfolders. When I expand the first level of subfolders, it shows me the locations of only three of those messages. I suppose the other 6 are in sub-subfolders and beyond but I can't see where. Maybe I could expand the entire folder tree but I don't want to do that because I have about 173 folders. (I can't imagine getting used to this one.)

I've been very happy with Thunderbird since I migrated from Eudora (because at that time Eudora didn't handle non-Latin characters well) but I can't recommend Thunderbird to anyone in its current state.
