I re-installed Thunderbird today but did not save the local folders before I did so. The local folders have all disappeared and I have searched high and low for them. I have used all the old profiles, but that does not bring them back. I can get the old emails, but just not the folders. I did think that I found some, but those folders were empty. Does Thunderbird delete these folders when you re-install? This is really upsetting, as I needed the folders. I looked for deleted folders and restored them, but that did not help. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Thank you.

I'm trying out Thunderbird on macOS, and one annoying problem that I can't find a solution to is that the line spacing in the window for composing emails is too small. (See the attached image.)

I currently have the font set to Helvetica, which is my preferred font. Other fonts work a little bit better, but they all have this problem to some degree. I can't find any settings in Thunderbird to adjust anything about the font used when composing emails, other than the font family and size.

Is there any way to fix this?

I want to ensure I have my local folders on my seperate Data HDD; D:Drive. My weekly backup, using Macrium software, setup runs a backup of the D: drive to my onsite backup HDD; G: drive.

I have looked and found that C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\23h3lpqw.default-release\Mail\Local Folders\file "Local Folders - Copy.sbd" was copied on 26th February 2024. But not since

How do I tell where local folders are stored on my Windows 11 PC.

Can I setup Thunderbird so that Local Folders are located on my D: Drive so that they automatically take part in my weekly onsite backup?

Any advice please?

Version 115.8.1 (64) I block messages by domain (domain.com), rather than whole addresses, because spammers are constantly changing their whole address (nutjob@domain.com). The filters don't always catch them when they arrive, and then they sit in the folder, indefinitely. The "Manually Run" and "Periodically, every 10 minutes" options are both selected. The "Periodically..." option does not appear to be working (as I expect it to), so I eventually will go and hit the "Run Now" button to get rid of unwanted mail. I can also quickly delete them using the "Run Filters On Folder" option in the "Tools" menu. It would be great if the filtering worked automatically. Thanks

With all this correct information thunderbird rejects it and says " cannot find server, wrong domain, email, or password, or something like that. I tried for days to add this account with no success.

Since Thunderbird auto updated on my Computer in my Spain Apartment NOVEMBER 23 I have never been able to get into my Email accounts Google appear to have taken control and keep telling me my my Passwords for both of my accounts Gmail and PLUSNET are wrong I do not have a problem in England and in desperation I have installed BLUE MAIL on my Computer and that works OK with the same passwords but it is not in the same class as Thunderbird it is like downgrading from a Rolls Royce to a Mini can any body help me please

Здравствуйте, такая проблема: допустим на рабочем столе есть вордовский файл, если кликнуть по нему правой кнопкой мыши, в пункте "Отправить" выбрать Thunderbird, то окно создания сообщения с этим вложенным файлом не открывается, а открывается сам документ в ворде. Hi, my computer crashed and we were able to get the old files and I have them saved (Saved Files for MZForum. The file date from the crash Feb 22 and 23 and the new ones are March 9 and afterword.

I was able to replace the Logins-JSON file and you can see the date difference in the Folder which is in the Permissions picture attached. I can't move the Key 4 file over because it is asking for Administrator access.

1 - How do I get that to move this file? 2 - The Form History SQLite is doing the same thing? 3 - Should I also replace the Logins Backup and the places.sqlite?

Greetings.

My organization experiences a strange issue regarding the Non-Delivery-Report (NDR) messages that are created by Microsoft Exchange Online and this problem occurs only when we use Mozilla Thunderbird and only with my organization's domain (to which i am an admin). When we send an email to a non-existent email address, the NDR generated by Exchange is delivered to junk folder. I have already contacted Microsoft support, but since the problem does not occur when i use their products, they directed me to contact Thunderbird support instead.

No filters or rules have been set within the Thunderbird client. In fact, if i send the message and close Thunderbird before the NDR is received and then open another email client (e.g. Outlook in desktop or online), the NDR is still delivered in my junk folder, so it seems that the filtering is done in the server.

To my best judgement, since the message that is marked as junk is not the one that was generated and sent through Thunderbird but the one that the server informs me that the recipient's address does not exist, it seems to me that it is a server-side problem. Moreover, it seems to me that in this case Microsoft marks its own system-generated messages as junk which sounds a bit strange. However, Microsoft's support directed me to Thunderbird support so here we are.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to ask me for any additional information that might be needed.

Today, sundenly, I can't send anymore a single mail using Mozilla Thunderbird ? I get always this error message : "Service refused, please try later. OFR203_504 [504]" I try to fin a solution on the net but without great help, I don't know what todao, may be to fin another program instead of Mozilla Thunderbird ?

When I first start Thunderbird it works fine, for a while (as in possibly days). Then I notice when I try to send an email it just spins its wheels. When I shit it down then restart I get a poo-up saying Thunderbird is already running but not responding. Checking task manager I see two instances of Thunderbrd.exe in the liist. In order to successfully restart it I must first kill all instances (I use Sysinternals pskill.exe for this). Then when it restarts it typically downloads a messages that were previously blocked.

I've seen this behaviour even without firt trying a send. If I am expecting an email that isn't appearing (there is no indication of a problem when I try a demand fetch) I know that I'll have to do the same pskill/restart to fix it.

I'm running Thunderbird 115.8.1 (64-bit) on Windows 11 Home (currently up to date).

- cleared cookies and all the data cache. This didn't solved the issue - went to menu Help->Others Info and Problems Resolutions->Restore Firefox. This didn't solved the issue

so now I begin to believe that Gmail is disabling the spell checker

it works in the subject line but it doesn't in the message body!!! See attachment
