The function of "find" for search is not working right
The function of "find" for search is not working right for the latest version (71.0 (64-bit)). I can't review them one by one using "enter" button as before.

Hey there,
today i used my browser completely normal, everything worked just fine. After i started doing my Windows Updates though and also updated my Anti Virus Software, Mozilla doesn't start anymore, I cant end the task/process either, not even via system32 cmd command (taskkill /IM firefox.exe /t /f) because it tells me that I don't have the necessary access to do that.
I need to fully restart my Computer to kill the process. When I start it in safe mode via windows+r run command (firefox -safe-mode) it started up once, and now it doesnt do that either.
I really don't know what exactly caused this and it started skyrocketing my blood pressure after I reinstalled it 4 times now and it still didn't working.

Hello I am a Firefox user and I just updated Firefox to the latest version.I get my desktop Instagram from Firefox browser. I have all the extensions for Instagram on my Firefox add ons. I was able earlier this week to to be able to send Instagram videos to the desktop to save in a file. I can no longer send any Instagram videos to my desktop. reached out to one of the Instagram Extensions developer for Fire fox and chrome in which by the way I can send to desk top. The developer seems to think it has something to do with a code between Instagram and Firefox Please help. I want to say with Firefox and not Chrome but I may have to If i want the videos to go to my desktop. I also ran Firefox with addon disabled changed Firefox and Instagram passwords i do not know what to do Please help

i am using an iMac 27" with MacOS Catalina 10.15.1. Today I noticed that when I search a website for an unique token (as an example, 1234), and the token is not found the search window turns red but the sound no longer is used. Notices from Outlook and Chrome work fine.
Any thoughts? I ndo a ot of searches and the audio notification was a great way to get my attention.

I have now uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox about ten times, to stop ift from crashing my Mac on Catalina. It sort of works, but I keep getting error messages in the Browser Console. Latest, while trying to access my City Council website, is "Favicon at "http://www.tshwane.gov.za/favicon.ico" failed to load: Not Found." It seems to couse a hiccup, then runs on. I also get 'TypeError: aBrowser is null' which seems to be a "x" is (not) "y" error, but I have no idea what that is or how to fix it.
Any suggestions?

Firefox says theres an update, so I download it. I then have to verify my firefox account with my email...of which I cannot open. Yet again another stupid update poorly researched and executed. No doubt I will be told its my fault because I dont have update 72.3.56.786 or install 234.3987.2 or some crap no one would ever know about

I have issues with my mousewheel so I like to press Middleclick to open this circle, in which I then move my mouse up or down to scroll. It's also called "Auto Scroll".
The trouble is, when you activate it on a link, it opens a new tab instead of activating auto scroll. So thats when I disabled that in about:config. I set browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick to false.
But not what it does is it opens a new window. And I don't know how to disable that.
Do any of you know a workaround? I know there are extensions for this but I really really like the basic Autoscroll.

I tried different extensions, but results are unsatisfactory. Does anybody know some trick? My goal is to find a method to flush all javascript structures in RAM. I explored about:memory, and tried the vmmap.exe (process memory analyzer) from the Sysinternals Suite, but I have not succeeded so far. Auto unload tab -- is not a solution. For example I clicked on links and opened 30 tabs in background. PC starts working very slow, Now I want to stop all them, and to read the loaded information (webpages). How to do it? I think it is the weakest side of Firefox. Needed to abrupt all attempts to make network connection, after the "offline mode" is enabled. I need something to stop javascript's attempts to connect, to calm it down. I want to start read webpages already loaded, and javascript occupies CPU. To kill threads in the Process Manager is not a way to do at all, Auto-unload also, I want to read those webpages. I have enough of RAM, it is not used more then a half. Many years ago, when there was HTML4, I used for a little the Maxton browser. It had a button to stop all pages. All similiar Firefox extensions do not act effectively like that. the issue not in scarcity of RAM, but in a badly design of browser's architecture, that javascript occupies users' PCs.

periodic message filter not working properly

I am on w10 with TB 6.3.0esr (64bit) and I have set a message filter on one of my imap mailboxes which moves messages with a certain address to a local folder. This works as it should. Then I have 3 filters on that local folder which deletes messages with certain header information. I have ticked the "manually run" and the "periodically, every 10 minutes" option. All filters work when I run them manually but the periodic check does not work as it should. I sent some test messages to myself and waited for 30 minutes for the periodic check to do its job but nothing happened. Then I ran the filter manually and the messages were gone.
I could of course apply the filters directly to the incoming mailbox but from my understanding a periodic filter should run regardless of anything else.
Are there known issues with the periodic filter or is there a log file which may show what is going on?

I have been trying - without success - to stream netflix, hulu, hbo go and disney plus using Firefox Developer edition for the last several months. Each time I go to Netflix it tells me the widevine CDM plugin crashes.
I get various errors while trying to view any videos on Netflix, including "your network does not support streaming" - which I know to be false due to the two ROKU devices on two separate TVs in the house, my PS4 and Chrome all functioning properly on my machine.
On disney plus I see Error 83 - and have attached a few screen shots.
I went to the Shaka Player Demo (as referenced in another ticket) and it also crashed with the following error: Shaka Error MEDIA.VIDEO_ERROR (3,,NS_ERROR_DOM_MEDIA_FATAL_ERR (0x806e0005) - void __cdecl mozilla::gmp::ChromiumCDMParent::Shutdown(void): ChromiumCDMParent is shutdown)
I have reset firefox - made sure it's updated to the latest version, unchecked and rechecked the DRM checkbox, erased all and created new profiles several times. downloaded (manually) the widevine latest CDM version (according to firefox) and placed fully downloaded versions of the dll files into the proper directory.
I am still getting errors.
I would prefer to use Firefox if at all possible, as I appreciate the tracking protections it affords. I have also - on a trial basis - excepted Disney Plus tracking protections and content restrictions (autoplay allow, all tracking protections off) and I have no extensions running save my 1password extension.

Thunderbird always asks me for a password for sending email. During a change in email hosts, suddenly the password I have always used does not work. It is not under Saved Password - please don;' tell me to go there. There is nothing listed under Saved Passwords. I have used this same password to access my email under Webmail at the new host, when it asked there. So somewhere on some server - this same old password is still legit. But not on Thunderbird. I have gone in and set the outgoing server to 'no authentication' - and restarted Thunderbird. Still it asks for a password, still it tells me it;s not the right password. What I need is to stop the need for a password completely on Thunderbird - But I have no idea where to find that. I have searched. Ideas? Thank you.
