Hi there,

We use GMail/ Calendar/ Drive for our business. On the official account, I am seeing a continuous - multi-day - situation where my Google Drive won't load when I point my browser to it unless I do at least one refresh after getting to Drive and waiting for my list of folders and documents to show up.

In the mean time, the following error shows upon on the bottom left of my screen - "The server encountered an error. Please try again later." - this has persisted for over 2 weeks when I restarted using Fiefox earlier this month. I do not get this error when using Chrome or Safari.

Today, I am also not able to see the user who last modified a document or a folder last, as you can see in the image below.

Please tell me what I can do to fix this issue.

Hello, Firefox 91.0.2 shows in dev. console: Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at ws://127.0.0.1

The Private browsing window has the issue too, but i am unsure if it really disable all extensions.

When i use different Firefox profile, then the localhost site i am trying to load is loaded without that error. So how to discover please which FIrefox profile setting is preventing the loading please?

Thunderbird fails to connect to the server

Thunderbird 78.5.1 On computer A, probably since one of the latest updates TB is not able anymore to connect to the server, I only get the error message "connection to server xxx failed"

Activity manager shows no messages at all Server xxx is on my network, connection is not blocked TB profile seems to be ok : when using the same profile on computer B, everything is working fine

  • creating new account (same data as existing account) on new profile on computer A is not possible : message "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password"
  • however using exactly same procedure and data on computer B, it is working !

So, creating a new account on a new profile is not possible Disabling firewall and AV : no change TB safe mode : no change Reinstalling and uninstalling/installing TB again : no change Windows safe mode with Networking : no change TB config:security.tls settings are identical on computer A and B I changed TB config:security.tls settings : .version.min to 2, 1 and 0 : no change

and .enable_post_handshake_auth to true : no change
and .version.enable-deprecated = true : no change
(all after restarting TB)

Changing TB Server Security settings : no change

I deleted the stored passwords, but after restarting TB is NOT asking for the pw's meaning TB is even NOT trying to connect to the server ?

(error messages are translated from Dutch, so possibly not identical to English ones)

On new laptop with Windows 10, with an external monitor in extended desktop mode, Firefox is opening partially off screen such that the top bar is inaccessible so I cannot drag it back on screen. If I close it and reopen, it will usually be back on screen. How can I fix this?

Perhaps related: tabs are not reopened and Restore Previous Session does not work.

There are no extensions open.

I have run this website (https://www.jeffersonscher.com/sumo/html5-video.html) from previous answers to check and the results are attached to the question.

I have also checked media.eme.enabled and it is set to true.

I am very much puzzled by this.

Yesterday I was using Firefox normally (browsing, Discord, etc.). Today when I opened it, it wouldn't load any page. If I type something in the adress bar it will auto-complete or show suggestions based on google, but when I hit enter, nothing happens. It doesn't even try to load anything. I also can't go into options. When I click on the options button, nothing happens. I am not running in any compatibility modes. I have tried reinstalling Firefox, didn't help. I am not using any add-ons. I have done several virus searches. Other browsers work fine. I'm running out of ideas now, that's why I'm doing this post.

I'm beginner in development. Today I'm working on some CSS files.

But when I reload, the content don't load the new features. I've try to clear cache, remove stockage on the console , and also try command + f5 (on iMac).

The only one solution I've founded is to clear cache , leave firefox , shutdown computer and restart.

Very contraignant. I've test on Chrome and it work well. So I don't know what I need to do to...

I'm using MAMP to lauch app on local

I've made no changes to any Thunderbird settings. With the current version, [78.11.0] — also, the previous version [78.10.2] — I occasionally receive these error messages when I attempt to send a message: the server can't / won't accept an encrypted password.

Send Message Error

Sending of the message failed.

An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) smtpauth.earthlink.net is unknown. The server may be incorrectly configured. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again

The Outgoing server (SMTP) smtpauth.earthlink.net does not seem to support encrypted passwords. If you just set up the account, try changing the 'Authentication method' in 'Account Settings | Outgoing server (SMTP)' to 'Password, transmitted insecurely'. If it used to work but now doesn't, you may be susceptible to getting your password stolen.

Saving the message (as a draft), closing Thunderbird, re-opening Thunderbird and again attempting to send the message succeeds. This happens randomly, which is to say: it's not an anomaly but I can't reliably reproduce the error.

This page https://www.nacocanada.com/cpages/common-docs is broken and has a newsletter sign up overlay that can't be closed. So i hide the element with uBlock origin but the underlying page still doesn't scroll. If i make the window taller more content appears, so it is there.

How do I force enable the scroll bar for all websites or at least this one?

Is Thunderbird going to come up with a work around or change to still be functional with GMAIL? I've been fighting with Gmail for about 4 years now on them shutting off third party access automatically every 2 months. Now they are changing to finally get rid of it for good. What do we do now?

My Thunderbird updated today, and suddenly all of my emails are showing white text on black backgrounds, except for those incoming emails that have their own color schemes. In those cases, the text appears pretty dark against the black background. Changing themes doesn't seem to make a difference. Was there something in the update that made this happen? How do I fix it?

After an extraordinary amount of testing, I can conclude that Thunderbird is placing linebreaks inappropriately in emails sent from Thunderbird.

In other forum posts, I saw these described as "soft" line breaks that email clients could ignore, but in my testing, Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook/Office 365 all display these false line breaks (in both webmail and mobile apps). In fact, the only email clients that did not display these false line breaks were Outlook 2016 (Windows 10) and Thunderbird (Windows/macOS).

The issue is that Thunderbird is inserting these line breaks where the line changes in the view of the composer. This is an arbitrary line that really serves no obvious purpose, given the thousands of possible variations in screen sizes on mobile or desktop?

Toggling between sending in HTML or plain text seems to not have an impact in resolving this issue, and neither does switching between "Paragraph" or "Body Text" modes.

Example images are attached of how this looks.

Any hope for a resolution on this issue? (via Extension or correction by the developers?)

Ever since you last changed Preview, it takes FOREVER for the darn page to load (be seen in Preview) and then FOREVER more to print. Half the time my doc doesn't even show up the first time Preview loads and I have to repeat it. The only work-around I've found is to open my doc in Safari and then print - which is insane. What's wrong with Firefox??

Using TB v91.5.1 on Windows 10 x-64. I have several mail accounts, one of which is for a hotmail.com address. This has been working fine for years, but over the past couple of days, I don't seem to be able to send emails form this account. I can receive them fine, but when I try to send, I get the small pop-up telling me it's sending the message, and the progress bar is at 100%, but it doesn't send the message, it just sits there.

I looked in the error console, but nothing was added when I tried sending.

You can see my server settings for the account in the attached image.

Any ideas? Please let me know if there is any other info you need.

Hi all

For a while now I've had a problem in Firefox where images randomly show up with green blocky glitches or yellow lines on them. Also sometimes text does not show correctly. I've attached a couple of examples. The image is from my Facebook feed (but it can happen on any website it seems) and the text is open tabs - the one on the right is this page.

Any suggestions? I've refreshed the Firefox install, and have only one add-on - an ad blocker. I've tried two different ad-blocking add-ons and the problem persists with both.
