On every boot ff69 opens two windows, one empty and one with opened tabs, every time i manually close the empty window. Next boot it reopens it. Same with laptop. On occasion if i close the window on laptop it'll only open main window on desktop on next boot. But this might only happen once and next boot the second window starts opening again for no reason. How do i make ff stop opening two windows on boot?

Creating new tab button summons tabs, can drag tabs, but can't switch to any except one on which Firefox hanged.

I was using a staging site and then went live and redirected the staging domain to the live domain. However, I then needed to re-instate the staging site. Now, whenever I go to the home page of the staging site, it redirects me to the live site. Any other page or url doesn't redirect. If I put a query parameter in the url, it doesn't redirect either. I just restored my $HOME/.mozilla folder from a backup (I closed Firefox, moved the old folder away, and the copied the backup folder to the correct location) and I noticed that while my bookmarks, logins, and extensions where correctly restored, all (?) settings from the extensions are lost. I had to reconfigure all custom uBlock origin filter lists, the Cookie Autodelete expression lists, the pwgen settings, and some others.
So to my question: since backing up the profile folder is obviously not enough to restore everything, is there some other folder or file I need to back up to retain the extensions settings on restore? Which one?

Can't backup bookmarks. The bookmarked sign on bookmarked pages dissapears few moments after every launch. Sync is stuck on syncing. Can't add new bookmarks.

After starting Firefox, Sync starts and gets stuck on "Syncing" till I restart. Ever page shows as bookmarked for a while and then they all turn into not bookmarked. Backups won't be saved. Changes to bookmarks and adding new ones won't work either. Have tried a new profile, deleting xulstore.json and places.sqlite and have also tried safe-mode and all of them together. The sync is still in a loop. I have about 56000 bookmarks(I know that's a lot!) but it didn't use to take more than a few seconds. And not being able to see the last sync time by hovering really sucks as well btw.

For e.g. you can search something and suddenly it can suggest you a site from personal or something else nsw etc. Also the new tab highlights are combined with personal and work and the others. But if the containers converted to multi-profiles we could also use seperate browsing, customizing, etc. Unfortunately for this reason I have to use two Firefox Account. :/ and also unfortunately I can't use Firefox Lockwise, because my passwords seperated two Firefox accounts and I can only set one Firefox Account on my mobile phone. :/
If multi-profiles can set and switch easily on one Firefox Account, that would be awesome! Thanks in advance.

I CAN drag/drop into a folder on the menu bar but not into bookmarks directly.

On Windows 10 Pro (64-bit), I run Firefox (64-bit) and Thunderbird (32-bit), each with two profiles.
Until this afternoon, when Firefox updated to 67.0, clicking on a link in Thunderbird would open a new tab in the currently running instance of Firefox. If Firefox was not running, it would open "Profile 1."
Now, Thunderbird will only open links in my "Profile 1" Firefox. If I have "Profile 2" running, Thunderbird ignores it and starts a new instance of Firefox using "Profile 1." With both instances running, Thunderbird opens a new tab in the "Profile 1" instance.
I updated to Thunderbird 60.7.0 (32-bit), but it did not change the behaviour. So, this seems to be a Firefox change. Is there a way to go back to having the running Firefox instance handle the external launch of links?
This is the behaviour that I want: clicking on a link, anywhere, will open it in a new tab in the currently running Firefox profile, only opening the default profile if Firefox is not yet running.

How do I get my bookmarks back on my Laptop? Can I somehow export my bookmarks on my iPhone, which has Firefox mobile, and email them to myself on my Laptop? I'm using Mac OS X, the most recent version. When I use the search bar (or the tool bar search function), Firefox uses Google Scholar instead of Google. I've gone to the preferences page, and the only default search engine available is Google Scholar. The button to restore default search engines is greyed out. I can't fine a Google search extension anywhere, and you can't add Google as a search engine from the toolbar. Please help!

After updating to Firefox 70, many websites that were previously working do not work when I navigate to them. However, if I clear the cookies related to that site, then the website works normally again. I've been having to do this for many websites and it's getting tedious. Furthermore, I've had to do this multiple times to the same sites after having cleared cookies previously. For these repeat non-functionality incidents, they come up after reopening the browser, but not every time the browser is quit.

I am using Video Download Helper with companion app, when downloading videos, the DownloadHelper will uses only one process of Firefox with very high CPU and memory usage. . Ans cause it does not take advantage of all the CPU cores it is very slow, and uses high memory for that process and will make all tabs in Firefox slow.
It seems that this process is the core process for Firefox, although it is a sub-process. It is the process that almost doesn't uses GPU memory.
When finished, if I killed this Firefox process to clean memory, cause it will just accumulate the memory in that specific process, all the tabs in the Firefox will crash and can't be refreshed, until I close Firefox and open it again.
Usually when I kill a Firefox process that is not responding, it will crash a few tabs and they can be refreshed after that.
Is there anyway that can make the companion app uses all processes for Firefox, so it will distribute the CPU usage to all cores, and if used a high memory it will be distribute the memory to all process and will be easier to clean.

i run prestashop ecommerce on a hosting server. but when i use admin on my PC, i have an application that displays 2 sets of date/time, ie start and end.
however the 1st displayed time shows it correctly ie 26/08/2019 00:00 but the 2nd displayed time it is shown as 1566860340
the coding that generates this seems to be correct, check attached image.
any ideas please, as when I use any other browser it displays date and time correctly.

if Firefox is running and i click on a link in my email, Firefox will open a new tab and show the page. if Firefox is NOT running and I click on a link, Firefox will open a blank tab; I'll have to click the link again - without closing Firefox - for the page to show.
this behavior is fairly new - about 4 updates back.
