I'm a web designer who uses flash in a number of my sites. VERY IRRITATING when my sites don't display properly. Anyone have a solution other than the pat Mozilla "fixes"?
The new firefox uses way too much RAM when compared with Chrome or Internet Explorer.

Before an administrator responds, please read, as I have noticed that many times concerning this issue, in other threads, the admins will respond like cartoon characters, not really listening to what people are saying. I have no extensions or add-ons in Firefox (latest version), Chrome (latest version), and Internet Explorer. When I have a blank page open, and only one page, Chrome is using 52M of RAM, IE is using 47M, and Firefox is using 153M. It is a freshly-reinstalled copy, I have no preferences at all, no bookmarks, nothing. Can anyone explain why Firefox is required to use three times as much memory as the other two competitors?

Having trouble logging into my firefox account to ask a question. Since the change to Firefox 40, I can't load Farmville2 on Firefox. I can open my inbox and answer requests but I have to use chrome to play, but I would prefer to use Firefox.Also I was asked to take a Firefox survey but when I was done and hit submit...it wouldn't submit....another survey today asked if I was happy with Firefox, when I said no, it didn't even ask why (I was hoping to contact someone to fix the problems with zynga), just closed the survey. ???? I have tried to find a contact us button, but just keep getting redirected to other places. I hope someone can help me with this problem

Does anyone else have their Flash Plug-in NOT auto-update? I've been watching the last few Flash Updates from Adobe for a while and for me, they do not Auto-Update. I had to manually install version 32.0.0.171. I've manually installed the Adobe Shockwave Flash for years, but only recently waited to see if it would Auto-Update.
I noticed with the two other Plug-ins, they have Update buttons for Default / On / Off. The Flash Plug-in does not have these buttons. Is this why it does not / will not Auto-Update?
Anyway, I received an eMail today about the Latest Flash Update:

I have downloaded the latest adobe flashplayer plugin but it is not working with Firefox. It does work on Internet Explorer.

Naturally I stop plugin. I always install the latest flash versions I have even uninstall and reinstalled flash and downgraded and still no change or it bugs me to update. I am using firefox 26.0 I usually stay away from the betas if all possible. My biggest worry with using the reset firefox or making a new profile is my fast dial I have tons of sites right there waiting for me to click on and im afraid if I do all this I will lose it. But I have used same profile for years and years so maybe its time. I will just have to redo my fast dial I guess Unless someone can come up with another way to do it. I have disabled hardware acceleration on firefox I have to it makes my browser do some weird things. I also have disabled Hardware acceleration in flash as well. I have cleant temp files and registry. I am good with computers but have never seen issues like this with flash. If anyone could help that would be great. Thanks.

Please don't tell me the bug is "impossible to fix" and pass the buck to Adobe. I engineer software myself and such a reply is far from acceptable. Sure, I've no doubt Adobe is culpable too, but I don't have time to write everyone an e-mail, especially if they couldn't give a damn.

I am trying to display streaming content from 4 webcams within my local network. This works properly on my Linux Mint box with Firefox 48.0, but does not work on My macbook running OSX El Capitan 10.11.5 on Firefox 50.1.0. Also same problem on my IMac.

I downloaded Flip4mac, as was advised on a post I found on stackoveflow, but that made no difference.
How do I know which plugin is needed? Searching on extensions, I see nothing for x-vlc-plugin. Is extension same as plugin? What do I download if not Flip4mac?

When on a youtube video, I can move the mouse around the buttons and it will take about 3 seconds for the mouse to travel between the buttons. The same happens on the BBC News website.
All other flash videos seem to function correctly.
Watching youtube/BBC news in IE works fine. Currently, FF is unusable for these websites.
This also happens in safe mode.

Videos in html5 with H.264/mp4 showing as black retangle (example in attached). I trying own page with html5. It's not working too, but "Your browser does not support H.264/MP4." didn't written, just black rectangle. I'm trying ogg, and it's work. Before the update all worked fine, I have watched video in html5 only. Whats I doing wrong or it's bug from the last update? In FireFox (not aurora, not beta), I can watching html5 fine, all my codecs installed on PC. Thanks.

I was having troubles with the Cinnamon desktop and had to switch video cards. I found Firefox crashed right away. I then replaced the video card and reloaded from scratch and the Cinnamon desktop works fine but Firefox still goes straight to crash report. In fact I tested and even Thunderbird goes straight to crash report. It does appear to send out the info and it created a report but I can't do a copy and paste of the report since I can't send anything out myself. The version that came with the Linux Mint 19.1 Distro 32 bit should be a 32 bit version. Both Firefox and Thunderbird is working fine on my other two 64 bit machines running Mint 19.1 64 bit.

I use Firefox v66.0.2 on Windows 10 Pro and on my weather website that has Flash links to external sites to display the Moon's phase and World City Times the placeholders to populate that info has become very slow indeed. It can take well over 40 seconds to show the times.
Using the same version of Firefox on a Windows 7 64-bit PC the data displays in seconds. Using Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 it's also very quick. Only Firefox / Windows 10 seems to be the problem.
I have tried resetting things but to no avail. It's been like this for a couple of months now. My website has been unchanged in years. http://www.cheadlehulmeweather.co.uk

Now the only problem is when I try to check it out is plug ins up to date, all other plug ins are but Adobe flash is not. It indicates vulnerable in red colour. When I proceed update now, installation goes ok but if after I recheck if all plug ins are up to date, there is AGAIN that red sign: "vulnerable". When logged into www.bankofamerica.com and after selecting an account, I use "Shop Safe", a feature that provides a made-up CC number, a $ limit of my choice, expiration date of my choice, and a CVC1 code. This CC number is good for ONE TIME ONLY use. It sends money from my "real" CC account without revealing my "real" CC number and other details! Recently, even though updated Fire Fox browser is operating normally, the little "Shop Safe" window that appears will not "transfer data" like it once did. Their URL is not loading correctly...it tries to load, but nothing shows up inside the small web page. Here is the (partially edited) URL that makes that happen ...

This feature works OK in a Chrome browser, but only AFTER I "Click to Enable Adobe Flash" on a funny little symbol
in the middle of the blank space, and resubmit the page. After doing that once, I don't have to do it again it seems.
I have to do the same thing in an Edge browser (a little sign comes up in both saying "Click to Enable Adobe Flash". After clicking the symbol, I am asked to "Resend" to get the Shop Safe contents to show up in the window.
I don't get that little prompt message and funny symbol when using Fire Fox. I looked around Fire Fox and found a "switch" program to turn off/on Javascript (there is now a little "JS" symbol in the tool bar). Javascript is required by the main BankofAmerica web page, so I leave the JS switch in the on position.
QUESTION: How do I check to see if Adobe Flash is enabled in Fire Fox (I think it's turned off by default) ??? If it is not on and the "work around API" doesn't work, how can I turn on Adobe Flash in order to use Shop Safe. I'll turn it off again if I need to. I read that Fire Fox doesn't consider Adobe Flash safe, but I seem to need it for this use.
