Hello,
i have a internal site where firefox shows an ssl_error_bad_cert_domain error. When i view the extended information, it told me that the certificate dont match to the site. But there is also an list of sites that are supported by this certificate, and this list includes exactly the url iam calling. Btw. all sites are included in the SAN attr of the certificate. There are other sites included in SAN that worked fine.
If i call the same site with IE11 it works fine as well.
Have someone an idea why firefox (68.2.0 esr) dont recognize the site?
Thanks!

Hi Community,
Quite often (more and more these days) I'm receiving MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_INVALID_INTEGER_ENCODING message. Full text message is "An error occurred during a connection to XYZ. The server presented a certificate that contains an invalid encoding of an integer. Common causes include negative serial numbers, negative RSA moduli, and encodings that are longer than necessary."
I've tried searching for this error, but I was unable to figure out what exactly does it means (except that Firefox finds this certificate invalid for some reason), and how to fix/disable this (except for replacing a certificate).
I know this certificate is a self-signed one, but I don't care as it is used in my lab. More important, Chrome or IE or Edge do not report this issue and are allowing me to choose to trust it.
Thanks

Symptom: I cannot connect to any Mozilla.org websites. I cannot update Firefox. I cannot get any Mozilla approved add-ons to download. I have tried to connect to Mozilla.org using all of the Big Three browsers out there and I have the same problem of not being able to connect to Mozilla.org or any of Mozilla's affiliated websites on any of the browsers. I am using Windows 10 and currently have the Firefox 68.0.1build. I have separately ran three different top-tier antivirus programs on my desktop PC and nothing noteworthy was found. I completely uninstalled the antivirus programs and still no connection to Mozilla.org. I tried DNS flush and tried a different DNS server, I tried resetting the modem and router, checked the PC's date and time settings, ensured that no parental controls were enabled, ensured that JavaScript was enabled, removed all Firefox extensions, restarted Firefox in safe mode, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and still have the same problem. I tried connecting to Mozilla.org with a free online proxy VPN and was finally successful although Mozilla's GUI didn't completely load correctly. I am able to quickly and efficiently connect to every other website on the web with any browser including Firefox, but none of the web browsers including Firefox will connect to any Mozilla affiliated or Mozilla extension websites on my PC. When trying to access any Mozilla.org website, the page buffers for several minutes and then the page display's the error code PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR. Sometimes I get an auto-update message on my Firefox browser that states that a new version is available and so I click to download the new version and all I get is buffering and no downloading. Then a new message appears after a few minutes stating that Firefox didn't download correctly and that I need to reinstall Firefox. I uninstall Firefox but cannot access any Mozilla.org website to reinstall Firefox because after clicking the link to access the Mozilla webpage there is nothing but buffer and no access. Using the free online web based VPN I was able to reinstall Firefox, but I still have to same issues. If I run Windows 10 in safe mode with networking I am able to access all Mozilla.org websites and install Firefox extensions. Is there any known fix to get this issue fixed while running my PC in normal mode apart from completely uninstalling and reinstalling Windows?

I can turn off ocsp stapling in about:config:

and page works fine then, but site has lot off customers, so this is not relevant solution for me.

As an admin in our organization I wanted to add two "Add Exception..." so end users do not have to get a certificate warning and click through to two places.
One is a connection to a systray service, the url is https://127.0.0.1:51763 and to test and validate this service for the web application, one must first click test in the app, then click Advanced and Add Exception on the "Your connection is not secure" page. The second is https://tablet.sigwebtablet.com:47290/SigWeb/ which has a Thawte certificate on it, but still requires clicking through.
This is for an in house financial operating system. The vendor did place our wildcard cert on the main page which works, its just these two service test URLs cause an issue, and since we do not own these certificates, we cannot re-sign them with a trusted Subject Alternative Name.
If I can do this with Firefox CCK or Group Policy, that would be fine. We do have Firefox trust our Windows Certificate store, so maybe there is something we can do already in Group Policy and Windows Certificates? I'm not sure because the cert at 127.0.0.1 is signed by corelation.local and there are NO SAN names on it, so even trying to use GPO's to import it to the Computers Trusted Root Certificates may not be enough.
Thanks.

As of today, when I go to Facebook.com, Hotmail, Twitter, and even the Squarespace pages I operate, I get redirected to a page displaying this message _______________________________________ "twitter.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.
The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.

If I select 'more information', I receive this- _____________________________________________ Someone could be trying to impersonate the site and you should not continue.
Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust twitter.com because its certificate issuer is unknown, the certificate is self-signed, or the server is not sending the correct intermediate certificates.

I have tried searching out the answer on here and most said to just clear out the cache which is what I did and I am still receiving the error at random times on different sites. I can refresh and the site will load but then if I got to another page of the same website or a different site the error will just appear again. Thanks in advance!
