Hello everyone, I manage 2 email adresses on thunderbird from a specific domain xx@xxxx.com. When i send an email from these adresses, even I have tried different settings to record, it fails. So, my last setting is the original one suggested by the app... but nothing => see image Any idea ? or do you know another way ?

had the need to start a fresh thunderbird profile.

now I forget which setting(s) allow for thunderbird to scan the local folders, NOT the internet, for new mail.

any suggestions?

FROM POP TO IMAP CHANGED AFTER I CANNOT RECEIVE MASSAGES. The sent mail folders in the webmail and Thunderbird are synchronized. Account password is correct. My iphone is received mail messages.

I have Firefox set to always ask about how I want to open/save PDF files. Within the past couple weeks, I've encountered an issue with opening PDF files. When I click on a PDF and select "open with Firefox," the PDF opens in a new tab on Firefox, but it also opens in Acrobat. When I select this option, I just want the PDF to open in my browser, and I cannot find a way to stop it from simultaneously opening in Acrobat.

Hello, I can't find a way to connect my contact database to Thunderbird for Android. How can I set this up so that email addresses can be easily added or imported automatically in the entry fields of a new email? Thanks in advance! Regards

For 3 days, I haven't been able to access my GMX email account. It tells me every time "Login to the server imap.gmx.com with username '[edited from public] @gmx.com' failed. I hadn't changed anything beforehand and all the entered data is correct. My other accounts like gmail, yahoo, works just fine. Tried installing older versions and still no success. Outlook app works fine either. I'm pretty sure that GMX mail server made some changes that Thunderbird is missing. Please verify.

When I went to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/products/vpn/ and decided to purchase a Mozilla VPN prepaid annual subscription part of the reason was this "feature"

"Easy Firefox integration with the Mozilla VPN extension (Windows only)"

There is nothing easy when clicking on the download for the Mozilla VPN extension yields a message that the add-on or extension has been blocked. The explanatory link provided is https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-ons-cause-issues-are-on-blocklist. That lets you know that:

"When add-ons violate Mozilla’s policies, compromise user safety or privacy, or fail to meet user expectations, Mozilla takes action. This may include disabling add-ons in Firefox to maintain a secure and reliable user experience. "

So, when will Mozilla stop violating Mozilla's policies so that the Mozilla VPN add-on is fit for use on Firefox v 149.0 [without free VPN] running on WIN10 64?

I have for a while been getting popups that TBird is unable to write email to a mailbox.

'Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the email system allows you write privileges, and you have enough file space to copy the mailbox'.

I saw that at least one other person reported this, and the suggestions included:

1. Rebooting. Done, no effect. 2. Antivirus interference. I am using standard Windows antivirus. Have been using same for years without issue.

The problem does not appear to interfere with writing to mailboxes. Seems to be an erroneous popup only.

My Thunderbird Desktop Version 140.9.0esr 64 bit. Help please. Installed Mobile T'bird on android mobile. On Desktop (MS Win11) T'Bird followed Settings - Export to Mobile - included all email accounts and Passwords - Export resulting in pop up box requesting Pin number. Don’t know a Pin nor can find a Pin nor find Settings - Accounts - Sign in options to change it.

I have recently moved to Linux, Ubuntu, and Thunderbird. I can't figure out how to make bullets or numbered lists.

Using the desktop version I have a bar just above the Inbox which shows 9 messages. How can I toggle this ribbon off so it doesn't show messages that I have read or put into folders. See bar that is highlighted in image #2.
