Hello,

When I select text in Firefox the selection is not highlighted. The selection itself does work (e.g. deleting a selected word) but is not visible. The problem occurs in all fields where text can be entered, so the URL space, the search field but also text field on a page like this one. The strange thing is that the problem also occurs in Thunderbird.

I am using Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS, Firefox 99.0 and Thunderbird 91.8.1

Thunderbird will not download emails later that August 30, 2022

My wife's Thunderbird application seems stalled . All I can see is the blue rotating circle. No emails after August 30 2022 will download . And the upper left hand corner has a period that is continually moving right to left and back again. She set up the email yesterday because her android phone was easier to use (Har, har). Gmails server apparently downloaded 13, 598 emails yesterday (8-30) and hasn't downloaded any since that date.. What's going on. She's attempting to renew her Green card and I'm more that a little concerned.

my windows 10 had a problem had to have fixed they coopied the data and i have the icon oin the desktop but will probable need to reinstall firefox will i lose all addons and book marks if have to reinstall firefox or do i just sign in and all will be there. i hated to have to do this but apparently they just copied the data and all appps and programs have to be reinstalled

For YEARS I have successfully sent daily photos in my Thunderbird with no problem. Procedure: I highlight the photos to send, click "send to"/"mail recipient". Thunderbird then autonatically opens, with a box showing a choice of small, medium, large, or original size, and displays the overall total size in eacg case, so I can max the quality of what I send. I make my "total mb" choice, and click "attach". A blank email opens, I simply enter the destination email address , and all is sent. Simple., Done. Time after time. Today..EVERY time I do this (send/mail recipient/choose size/ attach) the email page now opens with abig square pop up on teling me i need to open an account! It says "IN ORDER TO RECEIVE MESSAGES YOU MUST FiRST SET UP AN ACCOUNT" ( I am trying to SEND anyway, not recieve) I have never had this problem , I am doing nothing different. I clearly DO have an account, as I have always been ablke to send photos and emails. I canNOT get past this and it is very frustrating. (Despite saying "choose account" It only offers one type anyway; a "Newsgroup" acct. I dont want one, and have never previously needed one. It was ALL working fine yesterday. Is this some glitch in the latest update? If s how doI go back to the one that actually worked? I send photos every day, to people bedridden, who need them; this is a serious problem for me. After accidentally closing Thunderbird, two message I was working on were still open.

I went to Windows Start and clicked on Thunderbird and it opened but neither of my two email accounts were shown. I was able to get to Support by clicking on Help in one of the messages.

I tried "Set Up Your Existing Email Address" and received the message "Configuration found in Mozilla ISP database." When I clicked on "Done", the message "Incoming server already exists."

Available configurations IMAP Keep your folders and emails synced on your server Incoming IMAP I SSL/TLS imap.gmail.com

Outgoing SMTP I SSL/TLS smtp.gmail.com @ Username waynestiefvater@gmail.com

When I click on "Account Setting", a screen appears that shows the accounts for both of my email addresses, and the settings appear to be as I remember them. Everything seems to be fine but Thunderbird simply won't load with my two email accounts.

A week or so ago I had to delete all of the Cookies on my computer to get another program to work. I don't know if the Cookies possibly needed for Thunderbird to load were deleted and that might be the problem.

It shouldn't be the cause of the problems I'm having now, but the Profile for Thunderbird is at the root of the C: directory: C:\0-FFox\Profiles. That was done to shorten the length of the file addresses.

My question was why does cursor disappear in Mozilla Thunderbird email. I did not find answer in forum, but worked it out... Open Windows start menu. Type mouse. Open mouse / Advanced Options. Find "Hide cursor when typing" box... uncheck it. Fixed. Hope that helps someone!!!

I have tried everything I read in your "help" pages but no matter how I set up Thunderbird for Email I cannot get it to send. I recently had to purchase a new computer that has Windows 11. Is Thunderbird unable to work with Windows 11? I'm so frustrated at this point & need HELP. For your information the SMTP is set up as: description: [edited email from public] @skybeam.com Server Name: securemail.risebroadband.net Port: 465 (I've tried 587 but it doesn't make a difference) User: My Email Address Authentication: Normal Password Connection Security SSL/TLS

Note: I've checked Thunderbird & the passwords on both Incoming & Outgoing is correct.

Just recently, I am unable to send replies or attachments from my Thunderbird email. My service is Comcast and I have verified my outgoing server settings as directed by Comcast. I also tried turning off my Norton for outgoing mail, still having the issue. Last week emailed worked fine.
