I've encountered one message in Thunderbird that has remote content enabled (which I don't recall explicitly enabling). In Settings, under "Allow remote content in messages" (unchecked), the "Exceptions..." list is empty. I've also cleared the cache, switched to offline mode, and went back to that message, but it still shows remote content.

This has been going on for a length of times, the Privacy app or window keeping changing when I used it. This morning, it started back when trying to close it to go to another website. Also, the middle part of the privacy screen keeping changing.

Firefox is not secure because there is something going on every day with the settings. They keep changing on me.

I have a problem with Thunderbird 115.11.1 with the POP3 server inbound.att.net. Someone on at at7t forum suggested changing from Userid/password to Secure Mail Key. I had previously set up two Keys with at&t, but AI have never activated them. I looked at one URL, and was able to change the settings for inbound.att.net. But I did not see anywhere to enter one of the Keys that I had generated earlier. When I tried to re-configure outbound.att.net, I did not see a OAuth2 option. I do not need to re-configure outbound at the present time, as I can send mail without a problem. But receiving mail does not work. Here is what I see in the error console log:

Here is what I changed: Thunderbird: Account Settings --> Server Setings --> Security Settings --> Authentication Method Normal Pasword -> OAuth2

                                                   Inbound.att.net: Port 995 --> 587
                                                   Connection Security: SSL/TLS --> STARTTLS

What do I have to do to get one of my two Keys into the inbound Thunderbird configuration? Thanks.

All the gmail entries & passwords deleted, remaining email passwords replaced, as of this morning.

I replaced them, and then so did they. I just yesterday deleted my online life... I'm sure just a coincidence.

Here's half of one they used: M.C555_BAY.0.U.-Co2UA6qeq4JOFgsvOCkdA**pHYS5XqT3TfRXLZAdnUxGM361xXXF0iCTeAaY5pXNyRoEu7KvIh3*uCkYXNAKRvbL7UnBYVnODYaRQ8e5lPvftncJgK1yNc9TzeqTMW1BCwqdeBAjmbGg

I have a Lenovo Win 11 notebook that now requires me to sign in each time I open Outlook or YouTube when I use the Firefox Browser. Edge and Chrome do not require a sign each time I use Outlook and/or YouTube. A setting in Firefox certainly seems to be the cause. I reinstalled Firefox, still same broblem.

A week or two ago I had no issues with Outlook and YouTube. It happens now every time I Open Outlook and YouTube.

I now use EDGE and have stopped using Firefox which has been my preferred browser for years.

Best regards,

Jim Challender

Hi! After a routine update today to Mozilla Firefox 127.0 for Linux Mint, Firefox is asking for my master password before letting me continue. Sync does not appear to be enabled.

I'd really rather it didn't do this, because my password manager is now always open and accessible. Previously, the master password request was only triggered when I came on a site that needed a password.

Anything I can do to fix this?

Thanks for any pointers!

A while ago my long-time hotmail account stopped working on two computer with windows 10 and one with windows 11. Last night, I looked up an article that said I have to use Oauth2 instead of normal pw. I made that change on the windows 11 machine and a popup occurred that wanted the number from the google authenticator on my phone. I gave it that and it checks mail now just fine.

This morning I went to one of the Windows 10 machines and did exactly the same. I tried some different server names online and tried some, but after a while I started getting a little window that asked my email address and pw. I put my hotmail address in and got this message:

Microsoft Accounts or personal email addresses don’t work here. Make sure you enter your work or school account (e.g. user@contoso.com). If you want to reset a Microsoft Account password, click here.

Now this is the very same hotmail email that worked on windows 11 with the same server settings last night. It still works.

Now, on the windows 10 machine with those same settings, I get the blank extra window. The extra window appears, does not populate, and disappeared.

It is: https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/oauth2/v2.0/authorize?response_type=code&client_id=9e5f94bc-e8a4-4e73-b8be-63364c29d753&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Flocalhost&scope=https%3A%2F%2Foutlook.office365.com%2FIMAP.AccessAsUser.All+https%3A%2F%2Foutlook.office365.com%2FPOP.AccessAsUser.All+https%3A%2F%2Foutlook.office365.com%2FSMTP.Send+offline_access&login_hint=redacted@hotmail.com

I had no opportunity to do what worked on the windows 11 machine just last night. I cannot check mail on hotmail on this windows 10 pc. I took all the updates available to Thunderbird and firefox. TB is 115.11.1

I'm stopped. Why would it work on one pc and not another? Oauth2 on the windows 11 asked for authenticator. On the windows 10 it never asks.

Today all of the sudden, one of my computers running Firefox won't connect to Youtube at all. It says security issue with HSTS. It also says there there is nothing I can do to resolve it. Surely that can't be true. Youtube runs on every other computer in the office just fine.

Here is a screen capture of the message:

Almost daily on Firefox, I get pop-ups like the one shown in the attached image. I have, a few times, bought items on MrTortilla's website and that's fine. What I don't want it pop-ups from them daily when I'm not even on their site. Where do I go in Firefox to say, "I'm not open to pop-ups from this site"? Somehow it must be listed as okay. Please don't tell me to delete all cookies because I like the prefills from most of them. If there's a specific cookie I need to delete, please explain how to get to that. Hopefully, it's just a setting somewhere of sites that are allowed to send pop-ups and I can be guided there to remove mrtortilla.com from that list. Thanks!
