I can not access for days my bank account at truist.com. It shows it is loading but never does. I CAN access from any other browser want to use! Truist says it is a Firefox browser issue.

I followed the instructions to copy the msgFilterRules.dat file to the D:\drive, then copied it to the IMAP profile. When I then opened Tb, which starts with the IMAP account, I found that there was only a single filter copied from the filter collection in the POP account.

What do I need to do to get the POP filters properly transferred to the POP account?

Hi. First, I have more tech problems than I can shake a stick at and I m dealing with concussion and screens (monitors, cell phone, etc) aggravates and I don't track as well online as usual, so I'm asking for help sooner than I would hoping y'all can break it down very smply for me. Thunderbird v.59.2 on Windows Vista desktop. Yup, Vista :-) Cable provider died, so years of emails to addresses using isp-provided email addresses are in Thunderbird but can't use emails.

In short term got TMobile 5G wireless and it is hideous, beware! For now I use my cell as hotspot to get on internet on old desktop.

I'll list what I've tried in a sec, but here's my ultimate goal: I want to get AT&T fiber installed and hooked up on new desktop (Windows 11) and install latest thnder bird there and bring over old files. Before installing at&t I have to formally cancel with former cable provider (it's in an odd limbo). I've assumed it's better to cull all email addresses related to those email accounts before severing all ties.

What I tried: Followed this thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1255223

I can't upgrade to v60 with Vista. I modified advanced config and added strict config Boolean setting and set to false and added check compatibility 59.2 setting and set to false.

The email crawler add on still gives me not compatible error. I restarted Thunderbird and that didn't help, unfortunately.

What can I do?

Again, my two main concerns are 1) harvest email address on my dead email accounts so I can send notifications of my new email addresses and 2) prepare to move all Thunderbird stuff to new desktop once I have working wireless internet to facilitate.

Hi Folks! I'm facing some annoying issues when I send, answer or forward a e-mail.

Well, let me explain:

I have a work e-mail redirected to a Gmail account, so ALL messages are redirected to Gmail inbox. When I use Gmail webmail, the default address to send, answer and forward messages is the work e-mail, so, I don't need worry about it... Always my messages are send using my work account!

BUT

When I use the Gmail account in Thunderbird, it ALWAYS use gmail to send messages. I already tryed delete the Gmail SMTP server and keep only the work SMTP server, but even that Thunderbird finds a way to send as Gmail. So, to send my messages by work e-mail, I need keep both accounts configured in Thunderbird (Gmail and work), and change the send account EVERY SINGLE TIME I send, answer or forward a message.

I could use some other program, as Microsoft Email, but I don't want it... I want continue using Thunderbird, but fixing this issue.

Any ideas?

Thunderbird downloads messages in Plain Text, despite them being sent in HTML format. Messages are downloaded from an IMAP server.

Can anyone help in fixing that? I checked account setup options in Thunderbird but couldn't find anything relevant...

After I've read a message, if I click on the "Move To" box on the TB115 menu bar, as expected, I get a dropdown with my folders and subfolders. But if I then click on one of the folders in the dropdown, nothing happens! The only way I can move a message into a folder is to display the folder I want on the lefthand panel and then drag the message into it. This problem developed only after I started using TB115.

DIRECTLY after 114.0.1 update, I get a CONSTANT UNENDING PROMPT telling me all about firefox , ON EACH AND EVERY SEARCH, I am here to find out how to remove this intentionally annoying, "thing" from MY PC(of course Mozilla couldn't be bothered to tell us they were installing a continuous advertisement for google, and FORCE installing it as search engine). I want this endless advertisement removed, post haste.

I am not a tech person, but I have a clue. Network Solutions hosts my domain, and my email is based upon that domain (name@domain.com). I use the most current Thunderbird version (April 2023) for my PC email. Up until recently, my server settings left emails on the NetSol server. I believe they were POP3 settings. I had my Thunderbird folders on my PC all nice, and then a big email bucket on the NS server. Maybe the folders were there, too. I hardly ever looked at my NS webmail app. I just figured it was there as "backup". NS recently sent an email advising about an upgrade to a TLS 1.2 server, and providing new server settings: "We’re updating our security... Due to an increase in attacks and security vulnerabilities in recent years, older versions TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are no longer being used. To make sure your data continues to be safe, we are supporting the more advanced TLS 1.2". When I reconfigured my Thunderbird settings, I opted for an IMAP set-up, which I thought always left a copy on the server. Later, after watching my Thunderbird with its new settings import 1000s of emails over many hours into my PC, which I then sorted into folders, when I accessed my NS webmail inbox, all my emails, the 1000s that came in, were gone. The new IMAP setting seems to have removed (rather then "mirrored") my emails from the NS server. Is this right? I thought IMAP left emails on a server, and POP3 took them off unless a user specified "leave a copy on the server". PLEASE can anyone help?

Keep getting this on a number of websites. Most of them I have used for years. Can't give the websites as there are too many but some are pitchsidemanager.com, hattrick.org, skysports.com and sportinglife.com . Just four of at least 14 give the Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site message. I use No Proxy and have my anti-virus turned off when I get the message. I have tried various other proxy settings but the same thing happens. The thing is that I have to keep refreshing the page until it does actually connect and that can take a good few minutes. Sometimes I have to restart the browser. Why is this happening since the last few updates?

I have installed Firefox recently after migrating from Opera GX and I noticed I cannot control Twitter videos volume, only mute. I already tried to reinstall, tried with Troubleshoot Mode and I can't fix this. Is there a way to fix?

Hi. I have a Premium Hotmail account (Microsoft 365 Basic) with 50GB mailbox.

I am using Thunderbird v115.1.1 and POP3 to connect to my Hotmail (in my Windows 11).

Recently, due to very large MBOX file in Thunderbird and slowness in search, I deleted my profile entirely, I went to Hotmail's webmail (OWA) and I created 2 subfolders:

a) 2015-2020 b) 2021-2023

and I moved all my e-mails from Inbox there (according to dates).

Now, I want to connect again my Hotmail account to Thunderbird, with POP3 again, and to Subscribe also to these new folders (to be able to have them locally).

I am connecting with POP3 but I am not able to see these folders.

Why?

How can I Subscribe/Download them?

I do not want to use IMAP.

I've noticed forever in FF (v115) that whenever I try to play an audio stream on a web page, like a soundcloud or other stream (that shows a waveform and a play button, not video) that I always get clicking and popping at regular intervals. I've always suspected it is due to a sample rate mismatch between FF and my MOTU UltraLite Hybrid MK3, which is always set at 48kHz. I've tried myriad settings to remedy the issue to no avail. Here is an example - scroll down to the Demos: section and play one of the streams.

Today, I tried opening the same web page in Edge and all of the streams I tried played PERFECTLY without the clicking and popping. I click back over to FF and play the streams and there is the clicking and popping. This leads me to believe that this is a FF problem, and not with the audio interface or Windows 10 Sound. Sometimes, rarely, I experience the same issue with YouTube videos, but it is always with audio streams.

Does anyone know why this occurs and if there is a way to fix it. It is so frustrating that I'm seriously considering giving up on FF after 20+ years. This has been happening as long as I can remember, and I kept hoping it would get resolved at some point, or I'd find a fix or hidden setting, but that doesn't look likely. Maybe somebody can help?

I have an issue that MANY people encounter nowadays, meaning having an old or current e-mail inbox online reaching it's maximal capacity...

I would like therefore to be able to:

1. Be able to download everything on my PC/Laptop - No problem with that, already done by the way

2. And then being able to delete 80% of the e-mails on the server - but NOT on my PC - and doing so directly VIA Thunderbid by selecting/filtering in one single operation these 80% of e-mails by stating for example: all e-mails received since the beginning until 6 months ago to be deleted but only on the online server NOT in my PC

In the end I will then have: - All my e-mails since the beginning still safely and forever on my PC - 80% of the received e-mails until 6 months ago removed from the online server and online inbox platform so as to get back again plenty of space

Two questions: 1. Is this possible? 2. How?

When I select "quote message" in my reply nothing happens??
