Hi,

My apps are automatically updating so I cannot tell what triggered these crashes. But Firefox now crashes continuously, as soon as I start the app.

I am running an up to date iOS 15.6 on iPhone XS.

It is impossible to use Firefox on my iPhone, not even for one second.

I hope you can fix this.

I am experiencing constant crashes while using Firefox app for iOS. The error message is the standard “Well this is embarrassing” message with no additional context. It appears to be occurring when sync is enabled - when I have it disabled I don’t experience any crashes, or at least so infrequently that I don’t notice it. While syncing is enabled however it crashes no matter what I am doing at the time, and as frequently as every couple minutes. The version in settings is Firefox daylight 102.1. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times but the issues persists.

The back button returns me to the top of the page instead of where I left off when using my iPhone. It’s annoying to have to keep scrolling down and waiting for more of the page to load to find where I left off. Any idea how to fix this? Chrome also does this. Shopping on sites like Nordstrom Rack becomes so frustrating.

Hi, my Firefox on my iPhone was updated on the latest version (116.0), and upon opening it after the update, I realized all of my open tabs were completely gone! This includes the private browsing tabs, which typically persisted from opening to opening of Firefox. Every tab, both normal and private browsing, is now gone. How can I restore them? I've *never* had any issues with any prior Firefox iOS update before!

This is critical to me; thank you for your help in any way, whether that be it through my synced account (which also lost the open tabs, from what I can see) and/or anything else.

I realize that this may seem trivial, but, while I don’t mind the idea of a home button being accessible on the toolbar, surely it could have been placed in a less inconvenient place. Every time I go to refresh the page I end up on my home page instead. On my desktop, I purposely have the page forward, page back and page refresh separated from my home button. And my home button and bookmark button separated from everything else so as to not inadvertently click on those buttons when I meant to click something else or vice versa. So, while having a home button on the toolbar may seem like a nifty, handy idea, not so if it costs moving the page refresh button from it’s more common placement to an obscure part of the header bar where you are more likely to end up on that pinned tab page or in reader view when trying to refresh. Please put the page refresh back where it was.

When I have a pdf file displayed, there is no way to save it. I found a workaround on this forum (using share/copy and then paste in the files app), but this does not always work. Also in that thread, it was noted that the issue has been resolved, but this is also not (always) the case. Case in point: when traveling to Germany, because of corone, one has to register at einreiseanmeldung.de. This is a questionnaire, which in the end produces a pdf which has to be saved in order be be allowed access to the country. However, both the button giving access to the file and the displayed file itself give no way whatsoever to download it in FireFox for iOS (or rather iPadOS). Moreoever, one cannot just keep this tab open, as a link in the pdf has to be clicked to upload a test/vaccination result, and this link also cannot be opened in a new tab. In the end, due to the issues with FireFox, I had to reregister on this webpage (via a different browser), which may lead Germany to believe two people are entering and to send me double the forms.

Please add thus very basic functionality!

After update to iOS 15 this week, my previously rock-solid FF app (on auto-updates) is now crashing repeatedly on switching to the app or opening the app. I keep 6-8 tabs open for quick access which are not full of video, music, or animations. IPhone 12 mini has plenty of storage.

Quick reference between other tasks is not quick when switching to or opening FF brings up the “this is embarrassing” message and then I have to wait for tabs to reload.

Have not updated iPad yet.

Latest update broke usability of Firefox. Firefox no longer remembers which tab I was on before I moved away from it. It’s opening a new tab and don’t even get me started on the button movements.

There should be some minimum usability studies a product must do so that they don’t mess up too badly.

Search tool for saved passwords on iOS won't populate searches. When I go to Firefox settings to passwords it shows all of my usernames and passwords, it saves them just fine. But when I need to search for a password for a specific site, I enter that site in the "Filter" bar and Firefox reads back "No logins found." Now if I scroll and scroll to find the password, sure enough, there it is. For some reason Firefox will not populate search results in my passwords. I have found that if I type letter by letter very slowly (G *wait for G to populate*, O *wait for "GO" to populate*, O *wait for "GOO" to populate) that it will sometimes work.

Firefox is as up to date as possible. And I am currently updating iOS to see if that helps (as of 12/27)
