Very suddenly, Google Hangouts no longer works with Firefox, as of the evening of June 11th. I tried Firefox add-ons but they don't work. I can open Google Hangouts page, but cannot use the messaging utility. I used it for years until last night. Apparently, a plug-in is missing or doesn't work.

I have a problem with FF 67 that I have not had with any previous version. I have a legacy Windows app called "URL Address Book" which I have used for many years. It's function is similar to the 'Bookmarks' feature of modern browsers. I think it's basically just a database of url's plus several elements which include a Name, Location (url), Category, Last Visit Date, etc. I think it just sends the url to the browser, a new tab opens, and navigation to the website occurs. (I'm probably not getting all of the technical terms right, so bear with me.) The user interface is simply a pane of folders (for organizing saved websites) and another pane listing websites to visit (see image attached). This is an old legacy app which has not been supported in years, but it has always worked up to FF vs. 67.

With vs. 67 a very strange thing started happening. When I double click on the row for the website I wish to visit, instead of opening a tab and navigating to the selected website, what I get is two (2) more instances of FF launched, both of which open to my standard Home Page settings. So, assuming I already have one instance of FF running, I now have three running and none of them have a tab with the website I selected open! Really weird behavior. I hate to have to scrap the app, because it's very handy. I can keep it open to the side and I'm used to using it.

Thanks for your attention in advance!

Latest Firefox for android, running android Q (Version 10, beta 4) Will not sync. The options for what to sync are greyed out, but the sync now button is responsive. Pressing the sync now button causes it to change to something else for less than a second (cannot read what its changing to) but does not trigger a sync.

I did not have firefox on my android phone before upgrading to the beta for version Q(10). I can confirm sync works across my laptops and iPhone. I've tried signing out, reinstalling, clearing app data and reinstalling (android backup will restore app data from previous install) clearing cache.

Of Note: In the Firefox accounts settings page, in the devices & apps section, the login for Firefox on android is listed as Web Session, Firefox Mobile 67, whereas my iPhone is listed as Firefox on <my> iPhone.

Also, after initial and re installs, when logging into my sync account, the first time I log in, I get a email to verify login, clicking the link takes me to the successfully logged in page, but when I go to sync settings (on firefox for android) I have an error message saying that login is still waiting on email verification, and clicking the resend email link takes me to the Firefox accounts settings page. No email is sent (or at least, not delivered). Signing out and then back in, does not require a email verification, and the error message goes away, but sync does not work.

I'm guessing this is something related to a change in Android Q, So I understand there may not be a fix until well after Q is officially out of beta.

Hello, I use web-based administration software and use Firefox as my default browser. When I need to print documents like invoices or delivery notes, the margins, left and right are cut off. I tried to change all the possible print settings, both in Firefox and in the printer driver, I also tried to print to other printers, but without getting improvements. If I use Google Chrome the problem is solved simply by checking the option, fit to page. Is there a way to solve the problem? I would like to continue using Firefox for my work. I would like to continue using Firefox for my work. I am aware that I could print on PDF but I need to print directly for reasons of time, Thanks.

I get the following error message:

Unable to connect Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at guce.advertising.com.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I am using Firefox Sync. Today Firefox updated to version 67.0.2 (64-bit). As I began using it I noticed some strange behavior. The first thing I noticed was that I couldn't add any additional tabs past 4 tabs (the number is irrelevant, since the number changes). Thinking that the application was frozen, I closed Firefox. Upon relaunch I get this message:

"Using an older version of Firefox can corrupt bookmarks and browsing history already saved to an existing Firefox profile. To protect your information, create a new profile for this installation of Firefox."

I then have to either Exit or Create New Profile. I've done this several times and have had to re-do this task over and over today. I suspect that my Firefox Sync profile is corrupt. I've tried resetting Firefox, reinstalling, etc.

In about:profiles I now have several profiles in existence. One for each time I've reset using the Create New Profile button.

Does anyone have any advice on how to continue?

When I started my PC again and opened Firefox I can see no add ons available on the toolbar but they're listed on the about:addons page. I cannot access my add ons unless the buttons are available on the toolbar. Firefox version is 67.0.2 I have tried the following without successful results: 1. Restarting Firefox 2. Restarting my PC 3. Reinstalling the add ons 4. Changing profiles in about:profiles page ( I only have one profile listed: Default)

Please help me out here.

After upgrading to Version 67.0.1 then 67.0.2, Firefox opens on the sign in tab, not my homepage, despite being signed in to my account. I have posted regarding this issue before, but nothing solved the issue. I have new information and I'm curious if it helps. Every few months I lose every saved password in Firefox. I open it up one day and the saved password section is blank, 50 passwords just evaporated. I have done a little more research and per other support tickets I found a folder containing the logins.json files. I assume this has to do with saved logins? What's peculiar is that there are multiple corrupt files, (see attached image). Is this what is causing my saved logins to evaporate from Firefox? What can be done about this?

Hi, other browsers are fine- Firefox used to be until the last couple of updates.

Now when I try to access swagbucks.com FF freezes when trying to access ad or statistics sites when opening a page. This is utterly consistent.

I've tried to upload a small screenshot showing FF hanging on app2-cdn2.sbx-cdn.com

but the upload idler just span and didn't complete, so no idea if that's there.

Waterfox (FF derivative) has no problem wiht the same site, neither do Edge, Chrome or IE. I suspect some new feature in FF may be intervening... Tried FF in its Safe Mode too.

Haven't tried going back to an earlier build as you've now warnings about data loss. Win 10 Pro x64 1809 latest.

Thanks.

My mother and I both use Firefox on different models of Toshiba laptops. Starting a few months ago Firefox began refreshing itself without either of us doing anything. It's usually either right before or right after a FF update is available; downloading the update right away doesn't seem to matter (as in, updating doesn't fix anything; it still happens). My mom's FF refreshed itself today as the 67.0.3 update became available.

Every time this happens I have to go through and change all of our settings back to they way they were, and reconfigure all of our add-ons. It's really frustrating.

My bookmarks are missing with the latest auto-update for Firefox. I went through the process of trying to restore my previous "saved" bookmarks via Bookmarks/Library/Import and Backup. The only backup available is from the day of the latest updated version of Firefox on 6/17. My previous "saved" versions can't be located and do not exist. I also can't find the folder "Old Firefox Data" on my desktop either as described in troubleshooting. I REALLY need my original bookmark list as it is important to the work that I do.
