I would like to make a new account with an email account I control. Currently, the secondary email address can receive 2FA codes and such, but is there some way to transfer all of the history I have with the account to a new one? I cannot make the secondary email address the new one because my university email is now unable to receive emails such as 2FA codes.

I don't have access to the primary email to do anything. I do have the secondary email entered but it's asking for a code from the primary email to change it, like I mentioned we don't have access to. Is there any help for this. Hate to lose what we have.

Hello Mozilla Support Team, I am writing because my primary email address associated with my Mozilla/Firefox account has been compromised and I no longer have any access to it. Specifically: • I would like to add and verify a new email address (*censored@outlook.com) as a secondary email so I can later promote it to primary. • However, when trying to add any secondary email, Mozilla sends a verification code/link to the current primary email address — which I cannot receive anymore. • As a result, I am completely locked out of updating or securing my account, even though I can still log in with my password (and possibly 2FA if set up). My new desired primary email is: *censored@outlook.com I have read the official documentation (e.g., https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-primary-email-address-firefox-accounts and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ive-lost-my-firefox-sync-account-information), which states that changing the primary email without prior secondary email setup is not possible for security reasons when the old primary is inaccessible. Questions: 1. Is there any exception, manual verification process, or alternative recovery method available in cases of compromised/lost primary email access? (For example, through identity verification, account recovery key if I have one, or support-assisted change?) 2. If no recovery is possible, can you please confirm that creating a brand-new Mozilla account with *censored@outlook.com is the only remaining option, and advise on how to best migrate my synced data (bookmarks, passwords, history, etc.) if still accessible on my devices? I understand the security implications and that Mozilla prioritizes protection against unauthorized changes — I just want to regain full control and secure my data properly. Hi! I had a firefox account when I worked for the law firm McCormick Barstow a few years ago. I haven't worked there for a few years. I just set up firefox on my personal computer, but am having problems changing my primary email from my work email ([email address]) to my personal email ([email address]). Can you help? i miss spelled my email and after i did it wouldnt let me go back and change it even though i didnt even enter the password. now when i try to change it, it trys to make me make a new profile please help.

The primary and only email address I have set for my mozilla account, while it was my main email address at the time that I signed up, had become clogged with too much daily spam nonsense, so I had made a different email address that I switched to using. Apparently, since I hadn't logged into the first email account for a certain amount of time, the account provider deleted the account, so when I decided to try to change my primary email account that I have listed on my mozilla account, but when I tried to add a secondary account like it says your required to do so you can change the primary, mozilla wants me to enter a code sent to my primary email address to prove I am me, and therein lies my problem. I can't get into the primary email account because it doesn't exist anymore, so I need a new primary email account on my mozilla account, and I can't add a new email account to my mozilla account because I can't access the primary email account. I can't find a contact help link or anything, the closest I could get was this link that sent me here to the forums. Can somebody help me out?

How do I edit my e-mail address to a new one? I have to change all my accounts due to my current e-mail provider retiring their domain and switching to a new one.

I've lost access to my [edited] @hotmail.com email address that is associated with this account, and I'd like to change my email address now before I'm locked it forever. This is the last computer that I have that is still logged in! It seems that to add another email address I need verification from my first email address, which I can not get. Please help! I don't know if your response to this help question will go to my Firefox account or my email, but if it goes to my lava950 email I won't receive it. I need to update my email to my new account. I list it as my secondary and need to make it my primary email. When asking this question I got a response that there was a "make primary" button next to the secondary email that you could use to perform this task. My account does not have that option. I changed my email last year and need to correct it for my Firefox account. Please help.

The primary email that I have For my account is no longer active. I can't use that to sign in. Then email is [edited] @reagan.com. I do have a secondary email. it is [edited] @protonmail.com. Your system wants to demand that I use that primary email address. I can't do that. Can you help me?

Hi, I found this page in the support forums which kind of answers my question, but it says in order to get my username changed (for the same reason the original poster of that page was requesting it) I need to contact an administrator. However, there's no information on how to do that and the thread is archived.

How do I contact an administrator in order to request this change?

I am returning to Firefox and need to reconfigure my account to a different email address as username. From what I can tell, I can change my profile name but the username will still be the old email address. Is my only option to start again with a new account? If so, how can I do that and completely remove the old one?

My Mozilla log-in address is an old one - I have changed my email provider from xxxxxxx@TalkTalk.net to xxxxxxx@outlook.com. Although I can still get into Mozilla I can't change my log-in to make other updates. The advice provided is to make a new extra login and then make that one the primary but it does not work.
