Have tried many iterations to synch calendars and can now see fetched entries in Thunderbird that were originally entered on my iPhone calendar. However, the reverse is not true, as I cannot see entries entered in Thunderbird on my iPhone calendar. Must be missing a step or two to enable the push from Thunderbird to iCloud so that I can access from iPhone. Any suggestions are appreciated....

Until I updated to Supernova (115.2.2) the CPU usage was low but since the update there is a high usage on a Lenovo Win 10 PC that is up to date.

It seems it is related to the calendar. If the calendar is not brought into focus immediately after starting SuperNova the CPU usage is up around 14%. Once the calendar is brought into focus and I go back to any inbox the CPU usage drops to less than 1%

When viewing an email that contains a calendar invite, there is no status or buttons at the top of the message to accept/reject the invite or see the status if I've already accepted/rejected. This is true while the message is viewed in the reading pane or as a new tab.

If I open the email in a new window all the normal buttons/status stuff is shown on the top of the window and I can accept/reject the meeting like normal.

Using release 115.2.3.

Is there a way or a fix to allow the invite to be used like normal without having to open in a new window?

Good day everyone

Since the update of the new version I have experienced a similar issue with regards to creating an event So it would duplicate the invitees, when I send the invitation I receive an email stating that I accepted the invite But none of the invitees did receive the request Also when going back to the event created it does not show any of the invitees

Does anyone know if this is a bug

We use Thunderbird in our company and more users are starting to get this issue

I have a hosted email service that I access via Thunderbird.

Currently, new events that I create do not show in my calendar.

I create an event:"New event">enter details etc>"save and close" and there's nothing there. I've synced the calendar. FYI, when I create an event via the web interface of my client, it appears in the calendar.

I'm using v115.2.2

Any advice?

Since TB 115, I have issues with the "invite" functionality of Lightning, as follows.

It generates errors as follows:

  • "invite" does not work. I can add emails to be invited to an event, but the invite is then not sent at least with the option "notify" + "send individual mail" (other alternatives such as open visible list of destinatories are not feasible due to privacy)
  • when opening an "event" from the calendar, it displays in a full-screen format (see screenshot_2) that lists all invited attendees
  • The "invite attendees" window works but has a strange pink block on top right (see screenshot_3)
  • the page where the format of sending ("notify", "send individual mails") is not accessible any more

Currently the calendar as such works fine. But the "invite" function is critical for the use I am giving as transnational NGO to invite to meetings etc. All worked fine with previous TB versions.

System config: WIN10 prof, all updates installed, fully licensed, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X etc. (mid-end system built in 2022).

Thanks for looking into a solution.

I'm using Google calendar in Thunderbird Lightning.

Sometimes when I add an event to the Google calendar itself (e.g. on my phone), the added event doesn't show up in Lightning. Clicking the "Reload all calendars and synchronise changes" button doesn't help. Clicking the three dots next to the calendar and selecting "Synchronise" doesn't help. Closing and restarting Thunderbird doesn't help.

I am able to see the added event if I "unsubscribe" from the calendar and re-add it, but I don't want to have to do this. This method is only helpful if I know an event has not synchronised.

Is there a way to "hard" re-download all calendar events?

By "hard" I mean to delete all events from Thunderbird Lightning's memory and re-download all events from the server, in a way similar to unsubscribing and re-adding the calendar, but without having to do that?

When I send an invite to my Google email from TB Calendar it would show up on my Samsung phones calendar under the version 102.15.1. And it still works that way on another computer that I have not updated to the new version 115. So why is this now not working in version 115 only.

I have recently been upgraded to 115.2.2; I've just tried to look at my calendar for coming events to find that the caledar is empty. Thus, I've LOST ALL MY CALENDAR INFORMATION. For a number of years I have used and come to rely on this section of Thunderbird - surely there must be a back-up file somewhere - as I am dependent on this calendar.

Hi. Since 115.2.2, I click on the + New Event button, choose the appropriate calendar, set the date and time and save, the new event window closes, but Thunderbird becomes (Not Responding) and hangs. I need to force close it. I use Horde Cpanel for my calendars, which has been working well for many years with Thunderbird. It seems that the event does get into the actual CPanel calendar, as it does appear on my phone, but NEVER re-appears in Thunderbird, even after closing and restarting.

Suggestions?

When creating/updating an event, if start or end time is such that event duration is not 1 hour, then the start or end time reverts so that the duration is again, 1 hour. This is regardless of Thunderbird default duration. It looks like this happened when TB was updated in Ubuntu 22.04 maintenance.

I used to use the Gmail Provider addon for my Google Calendar, but it had been acting funny for months when it came to syncing. So I switched to native support and everything was working great mostly.

But then the last few days or so, the Calendar stopped showing some of the events. Some of them show just fine but a lot of my events are missing. They are still there on the Gmail side of things. They just don't show in Thunderbird.

I found a recent chat about this exact thing but it was an outdated issue that I believe was fixed. But here it is again (or maybe a different cause/bug is behind it this time).

I don't know if its the difference between events that show you as busy or free, or if something else is the variable the determines what shows and what isn't. But it is definitely not working right now. I had to sync my Google calendar with with Windows Calendar for the time being.
