For tasks that have a start date and due date, is there a ways to have them show up in the calendar window? I want to be able to see the time blocked off in calendar but also be able to check the task as complete.

Is there a built-in way or an addon that will allow the ability to create folders as a filter action?

I can move or copy to an existing folder but is there a way to make a folder in a specific location with a specific name based on previous parameters.

We use the Thunderbird Labels (not an add on) to mark the mails "to do", "started by NN" or "get back to customer after offer" etz. After the latest uppgrade (or earlier) mails labeled on one computor does not show on others (IMAP). Do not find any settings in Thunderbird about this (for example on some add ons you have to mark that the changes done on one computor should not be local).

Gratefull for help because this is a great tool when you are more persons working in the same system. Thanks in advance!

I want to be able to send plaintext messages with long lines wrapped (eg. 80 characters) while respecting the indent of the line.

I would like to have something along these lines: ``` Some text:

    - more text more text more text more text more 
       more text more text more text more text more  
       more text more text more text more text more  

```

I have the settings described here and they work fine to wrap long lines, but not to indent text.

For example, VScode supports this (I add snapshots).

Also, when clicking "Enter" to go to the next line, it would be nice if the new line is indented the same as the previous one, again, as in VScode.

I use firefox as my browser(I like it the best) I have edge on my computer because I upgraded to windows 10. I really dislike microsoft edge. I recently downloaded a couple of pdf's , in the settings it says that firefox opens the pdf. then I click on the pdf and when it opens it has a button that wants me to put edge as the default reader and so I go to the settings on firefox and it says that firefox is the reader tat opens the pdf but their is no way to make firefox my default pdf. it is really frustrating, as I said I really do not like the edge browser. Is there any way that this is fixed? thank you for your help!

The Firefox "New tab" page shows quick-navigation buttons. At the top right of each button, the 3-dot menu has an Edit option. On the edit dialog is a link "Use a custom image", which then prompts you for a image URL.

I've tried pointing this to images in my Google Photos (a 1024x1024 .JPG), using an open-shareable link, but it doesn't work.

a) What format does the icon image have to be in? b) Are there any limitations on the URL? c) Is there a way to use a locally stored icon image?

When scrolling the print edition of the Wall Street Journal on an iPad (8th gen)the minutest flick of thumb up will return the view to page one. Doesn’t matter which page, it always goes back to page one. Very annoying and doesn’t happen when I’m using Safari nor when viewing other web sites so have to surmise it’s a glitch, setting or specific to the WSJ.

In my Firefox settings I have selected "check for updates but let [me] choose to install them" but Firefox automatically installs updates while I'm using it and immediately requires me to restart the browser. All navigation thereafter returns a page saying I have to restart Firefox to continue.

It's incredibly annoying to have to then sign in to all half dozen or more sites that I was already signed in to. I'm going to have to abandon Firefox if this continues.

Is it a security setting my employer configured? I think I have the same problem at home.

Read about using the Project Fission settings in about:config and only needed to change the gfx.webrender.all to True but I don't see the 'F' when hovering over the current tab to prove it's working.

Dubious as to whether this 'built-in' sandbox is as robust as Sandboxie.

What would it take for Mozilla to offer a version of Firefox without permanently built-in plugins and/or extensions, and just offer them by selection upon installation, or offer a a registry editor program to add and/or remove them, or simply a paid-for version without them? A paid for browser that could be configured the way a person wants it would be worth the cost of such a browser.

examples of plugins and/or extensions desired to be permanently removed:

Refreshing does not work. Disabling does not work as they are enabled after another update, upgrade or by accessing your Firefox account.

Many years ago, M$ was sued for making Internet Explorer an integral part of the operating system yet is being allowed to do the same with Edge today. Just as back then, the browser cannot be permanently uninstalled from Windows, unlike with a Linux OS. Example: Mint will work perfect without the automatically installed Firefox browser should a user want to have a different browser. However, since undesired plugins and/or extensions can be permanently removed, there is no need to uninstall and remove Firefox.

Unfortunately, although I love the Vivaldi browser (which is built from Google's chromium architecture, just like chrome and many others) for any M$ or Linux OS, there are two features Firefox offers still unavailable with Vivaldi at this time. Therefore, Firefox remains my backup browser and for when I would like to use those two features unavailable with Vivaldi. However, Firefox would become the default browser not just for me, but an unknown huge number of users if permanently built-in plugins and/or extensions could be permanently disabled and/or removed because users want less intrusion and thus more security.

Firefox is a great browser. However, not being able to permanently remove permanently built-in plugins and/or extensions is more than a nuisance. Reason: If the built-in plugins and/or extensions can be re-enabled after an update, upgrade, or accessing your Firefox account, then there must be some type of script, sub-routine, program or AI detecting the permanently built-in plugins and/or extensions that have been disabled. That by definition is spying.

What is needed is a method to permanently remove permanent built-in plugins and/or extensions, or at least prevent the disabled built-in plugins and/or extensions from being enabled again.

Perhaps Amazon.com, Bing, DuckDuckGo, eBay and Google and Wikipedia are paying $$$ to be embedded within Firefox which may be needed by Mozilla for the ongoing development of updates and upgrades. If so, a paid-for browser might eliminate the need for Bing, DuckDuckGo, eBay and Google and Wikipedia to be included.

Hi, i'm a new firefox user and I've looked online for the last hour looking for a fix, but nothing. I have 2 monitors and when I click from one to the other or alt + tab, all my tabs become darkened, from white to having faded / being much darker, I'd want to not have that, is there a way?

Example of not darked darkened / faded tabs / darkened:

The netflix, giazo, imdb and youtube tab is not darkened. (not alt tabbed or clicked on second monitor). The other one is darkened, alt tabbed, clicked on second monitor.

Hello! I have an issue whenever i enter a Fullscreen on any video from web my screen goes black and the same thing happens when i exit Fullscreen mode, kinda like an animation and i can't find the solution or the option for it in settings to disable it. Hello, While the display size is correct on my MacBook Pro 2021 screen is OK, it is huge and unusable on my second monitor (see images). My layout.css.devPixelsPerPx is set at 2.5. If I set it at default (-1), the external monitor display is OK, but the internal monitor is so small that it is unreadable (to the extend that it was actually hard to figure out how to revert back to so I moved the window to the external monitor). This is a bug. There should be a setting per monitor or the default should follow the System Preferences setting for all monitors.

Please fix this quickly!

Have been using Mail Merge for several years. Comcast e-mail send quota is 1000 messages/day. Mail Merge had been working well with occasional batches of 900+ messages.

Since updating to Thunderbird 115, Thunderbird stops sending e-mails after approximately 11 e-mails. Messages 5-9 kb each, no attachments. Screen shot of error message attached.

Thunderbird will resume sending if I exit Thunderbird, wait for cache to empty, restart Thunderbird WITHOUT the "ask to send unsent e-mails" activated, then use the "Send Unsent E-mails" menu item.

Do you have any idea what may be happening?

Hello, I use ubuntu on my M$ surface go2 tablet, and I wonder, if it's possible to enable video touch control (HTML5 player) on video sites other than youtube, like I have in android or chromeOS. On Android this option works always. On ChromeOS doesn't work in privacy mode (no idea why, there is no addons or extensions, just pure firefox.

I know ther is option in PiP option, but is it possible to use just double tap on screen instead of small buttons? (now double tap turns on and off full screen).

So, I had three windows open in private mode, then the (stupid) software decides to crash (or rather, restart automatically for an update) and I lose all those tabs from those windows (ALTHOUGH NOT MY CHOICE, OR FAULT) then several search results say install PrivateBrowsingHistoryRecovery add on, however the links go nowhere. Surely Mos FuryInducingF_x don't prevent the installation of an add on that might actually make their software better, useful?
