Running Thunderbird ("TB") 102.14.0 (32-bit) in Windows 10 in a mini-tower PC.

TB will open a window in Troubleshooting Mode. While in Troubleshooting mode, I deleted an extension that was out of date in the default profile, but that did not solve the problem.

TB works fine in the other two profiles (in regular mode).

I've searched for a solution, but nothing helps.

Thanks for any help. This happened two months ago, but I was sick with Covid then, and could not focus mentally.

Trying to make Firefox my default browser

But suddenly it is not letting me log into my gmail through Mozilla and is giving me an "error 400" . I can get all my emails on the iphone, but not my Mac in the office. What i have try, "rm -rf .mozilla .cache/mozilla" i have download latest version and execute "firefox-bin" i have try to chmod 777 all this folders and under folders...

i'm working on it from three hours and have read many solution on firefox support or others website, no one works...

TL;DR: Moved firefox browsers, didnt properly export passwords, uninstalled other browser, had logins.json from profile folder, needed to know how to import manually.

Fixed. I just installed the older browser, and properly exported the passwords this time.

I have several profiles. They all have the same Chrome folder contents, but only some of them have the "chrome_debugger_profile" folder.

I'm guessing I must have generated it along the way while tweaking the Chrome folder contents?

to archieve some good old games, I use an special version of Firefox. Firefox (MyPal): 29.2.0, with Adobe Flash preinstalled, Disk-Cache

For most games it will suffice: After loading all content online, it will be available offline too. But... some audio/video files will be saved in memory cache - %temp%\mozilla-temp-files\*[random-auffix] - instead of in disk cache. After closing session they get deleted and after restart they are saved again, with another suffix.

How can I tell Firefox to permanent save streamed audio/video files, like Firefox does with everything else? In the end the music should play if I open the browser offline too.

I'm using Android 13 and Firefox is updated to the latest update. When I Google something and select an image, Firefox freezes and I either have to reload the page and the image will load or I have to close & reopen the app and switch to the Images tab. This is on the main Google search page. Images selected in the Google Images tab work as expected.

I have the problem that Firefox does not correctly recognize when I want to scroll up on a web page. This often causes me to accidentally refresh the page. Usually this should only happen when I'm already at the top of the website and then swipe down again and not in the middle of the website. I have even tried Firefox Nightly and Klar, but the issue occurs with every browser. Is there perhaps some trick or hidden setting that causes the browser to scroll reasonably again instead of constantly refreshing the website?

My reading pane on v115 will only adjust downwards but I would like to adjust it upwards as was possible in previous versions.

Just to confirm what I mean, it will only go down, so making the reading pane smaller (or disapppear) and the thread pane larger.

I would like to make it go the opposite way, upwards to make the thread pane smaller.

Is there some code, css etc that can make it happen correctly?

Hi All, Since update of Thunderbird to version 115.2.3 (64-bit), I keep getting 2 instances of Thunderbird that vie with each other to retrieve IMAP messages. I keep getting error messages until I close one of the 2 instances (Thunderbird windows). I found a workaround. If I click "Help | Troubleshooting information" and press "Clear startup cache…", then "Restart", Thunderbird restarts normally with only one instance. But this is only temporary. It happens only once after I have cleared the startup cache and restarted Thunderbird. When I restart Thunderbird later, it systematically launches with 2 instances. Thank you for any more permanent solution.

I recently got a new computer with Windows 11 freshly installed. I downloaded Firefox, went to take a screenshot, and the usual shortcut of Ctrl + Shift + S does not work. I can right click and Take a Screenshot, and I can use other Ctrl + Shift shortcuts, like Ctrl + Shift + T to reopen closed tabs. The only one that doesn't work is screenshots. I can also put Screenshots in my top row Toolbar and use it, just not the keyboard shortcut.

I refreshed Firefox, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, as well as checked the about:config extensions.screenshots.disabled preference. It has been set to false, so I have set it to true and false again hoping it would "reset" it but nothing. Thank you!

Is spell-checking done locally on my computer, or is it done on the Mozilla website? I just found out that the Chrome and Edge browsers send my typed message to the home office, and that is where the spell-checking is done. Can I assume that this process is done locally on my own computer with Firefox?

I've been paranoid about security for many years, and every little bit of info I can add to my personal well-being lets me sleep that much better at night.

I am currently 82 years of age and have been using Firefox since it first became available, just because of its advertised security features. Quite happy with it and hope it stays on top of my needs.

And I have the same question regarding Thunderbird and its security properties.

Hi, I have had TB working for a decade without a (serious) problem, now it suddenly stopped working and slowed down creating a lot of problem to the whole PC. It wasn't useful to reinstall or moving mail from the inbox or rebuild the index, so now I've decided to purge it all and uninstalled it, then I need to know exactly all the remaining folder and file to delete, as well as registry keys involved by any modification. Other info: Win 10 pro 22H2 completely updated, no particular AV, rather firewall on the router plus Defender on the PC (intel 7 9gen + 16GB ram). I have 4 gmail accounts, 1 Italian free mail and 1 registered mail, that works very well from the relevant web sites. Just for the sake of curiosity, what kind of problem it could be? Most important of all: does such problem can repeat starting from scratch? I don't want to face again such kind of mess. Thank you for your time and consideration Best regards Vincenzo

Before upgrading to 115 unified folders worked fine. After upgrading it only shows the junk mail folders for 2/6 accounts on both Windows 10 PC and laptop. Looking at properties for the ones that do show and the ones that don't there is no difference. There is no Choose button under the colour icon as suggested in another post. Help greatly appreciated.
