I would like to disable fingerprinting. But doing so makes it so I have to resize firefox ever time I launch it. Even if fed the command "--window-size 1700,800" it continues to lunch in a small form factor. Is this fixable without enabling fingerprinting.

In the new 78.5 release, in the Message Pane, the ability to collapse the email address to/from/subject line is GONE! Is there anyway to collapse this very unnecessary information???? When you click on the message in the message list it shows who it is from already and the subject. And I DON'T need to know who it is too because it is to ME.

There used to be a small (+) and (-) sign on the far left of the email addresses. PLEASE PUT THIS BACK!

Being able to collapse this area gives you that much more space in the message pane to actually read the message!

Thanks.

So, I just upgraded to version 78.1 and I just hate the way it looks. The old folders used to be yellow and distinct. The new folders are white with a blue outline of the same color as the rest of the theme. I hate that. It all just looks the same, as if they are trying to hide everything with the same color. This may be the "Modern Trend" but I hate the modern trend. I like things to stay the same. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Is there a way to get the old look back? I looked through the addon themes, but there are only three that are compatible with my version and they are all crazy stuff that I hate worst than the new default theme.

For instance, Zoom sends their automatic emails to hosts in plain text. I'm using a gmail address. If I check my email using gmail in the browser, the hyperlinks in Zoom's emails are clickable. If I check the very same email via Thunderbird, the hyperlinks are plain text. See attached image.

Is there a way to make thunderbird convert plain text urls into clickable links?

I've been using MyPhoneExplorer for years to keep my Android phone in sync with my Thunderbird address book and calendar.

With the recent upgrade to 78.5.0 (32-bit), the contact sync no longer works between the two, failing with

"Loading entries from Thunderbird failed" (See image attached).

The first time I ran MyPhoneExplorer a new plugin did get loaded for Thunderbird but I didn't note the name.

I've tried restarts and reboots, making sure Thunderbird was launched first, and even running MyPhoneExplorer with admin privileges. I'm running Version 1.8.15 of MyPhoneExplorer on a W10 64 bit platform.

I need to roll back Thunderbird until this is corrected so any tips on reverting to a previous version of Thunderbird would also be appreciated.

When addressing an email, I *much* prefer the previous alignment of To, Cc and Bcc all in one line with the ability to switch between them. Any way to get that back? I use cc quite often and I'm finding the new layout awkward and less flexible.

I have posted a screenshot of what I am seeing with the new TB 78. Thanks for your help.

I've read a lot of help on this - almost all of them say, "As you have discovered there are three visible TO/Cc/Bcc fields..." and: " type or select email address and press enter to move to next TO field".

None of that works. I have only ONE visible "To" field. It has no controls to change it to a Cc or Bcc one. There is a "CC" or "BCC" option beside the "From" field. Pressing Enter at the end of an address does precisely nothing.

Another copy of TB on another computer has all the features you gaily point to - but mine doesn't. Where do I find it?

Hi, I used to be able to simply use the "Print" option in Firefox by selecting it from the top right "3 horizontal bars" dropdown, and it would print the pages I was looking at using the printer settings I had for the printer I chose. Now it ignores an important printer setting I have set "Double-sided Printing" for my HP Officejet Pro 6978 printer and prints on only one side of the paper. Why did this change, and how do I get Firefox to obey the settings I have set for this printer? I am using Firefox 83.0 (64-bit) with WIndows 10, and my Windows 10 is up to date with all updates. Thanks, Jerry

Current preference settings are increased font size to 14pt and zoom 110%. Since I set those preferences some websites, mainly ones with form fields, come up as a boxed question mark. Also when I do an internet search is comes out crazy alien like text / weird code. See attached screen shot of a basic search for 'books'. I prefer using Firefox over Safari and would love to remedy this.

Using current version 83 on Mac OS 10.15.7.

Thank you

So I've recently updated to v83 and find out that that annoying address bar is back. I don't really want to use Chrome.css because I'm not good at programming or anything like that and I am afraid I might break my browser.

I have the solutions for v77 on my about:config and tried toggling them true/false and restarting my computer but I think Firefox "fixed" those workarounds.

Anybody have any new suggestions? Or am I stuck with this (I wouldn't mind it so much but it goes to it automatically when I open a new tab and that annoys me. I'm happy the history part of the workaround is still working cause I do NOT want anyone knowing my history. That's my business not theirs).

Whenever I have to go to a videoconference hosted through the browser (like GoogleMeet or Theranest), Firefox asks me to choose a camera, but it doesn't allow me to choose the built-in FaceTime camera on my iMac. The only option it offers is EpocCam, which I have installed on my phone but never use. (I've attached a screenshot so you can see that I can't choose any other camera – it just doesn't give me the option!) I must have selected EpocCam once several months ago, but I cannot figure out how to get rid of it as an option on Firefox and I can't choose the built-in camera. I've searched for hours to find a solution but can't figure out how to deal with this. I don't have a similar problem on Safari, which is the only other browser I have installed at this point; and I don't want to migrate all my stuff to a new browser just because of this presumably easy-to-solve problem. Help!

Just upgraded to version 78.5.0 of Thunderbird, and the spell check window is now ALWAYS at the upper left hand corner of my desktop (Win 7) screen. I can move it, but it drives me nuts to have to do it EVERY TIME. I want it the way it was before the upgrade -- right on top of the email being spellchecked, by default.

How do I do this?
