To preface this, I am on MacOS.

I noticed a small delay before starting videos while I have my AirPods connected. There are a few scenarios where this delay does not exist: - Any other browser - Audio is actively playing elsewhere - Mic is in use (like a zoom meeting in the background, even when muted) - Audio is muted

I have tried safe-mode, reinstalling, and even messing with the config, to no avail. I know for sure this is isolated to Firefox, and I believe it's due to how audio devices are handled. I would rather my videos immediately play rather than wait for a "health" check from my connected device, even if there isn't audio for that time period.

Every time I try to go full screen on firefox for the youtube site, it will quit the Firefox app, or turn into a black screen with a tiny bit in the corner, or go into the wrong orientation. After maybe the third to fifth try of full screening, it will finally work. I had this issue with the firefox app for all my phones (all Oppo, so unsure if this is device specific). firefox not discarding tabs automatically even though i have tab discarding on in about:config via "browser.tabs.unloadOnLowMemory=true" "browser.tabs.min_inactive_duration_before_unload=60000"

also if i discard them manually from about:unloads manually whenever i restart firefox all discarded tabs come back to life is it supposed to do that?

I took a look today and I had 237 MB in cookies! This was after clearing the cache of all files. I've only had this (new) machine a couple months.

Short version: Sites have "cookies" from 200kb to as much as 34MB! For many of the sites over 3MB I have no account and have visited them only briefly.

To be clear, I don't care about the space being used. It's trivial. But what the heck is FFox storing and calling it "cookies"? Last I checked, a site was still limited to 4K size cookies and perhaps 50 per domain. So how are we getting to MB+ sized "cookies" per site? Again, the cache was cleared, so what's left aside from trivial cookie files of <4KB?

Prior to the 6/16/25 release, hitting the back button on the three button control on a page with no previous pages would open the home page without closing the current tab. After the update, it closes the tab before opening the home page. This was useful for quickly opening multiple tabs, as well as preventing accidentaly closing a tab. Please revert this change, or make it a setting.

I have a vivo pad 3, and when I'm using it in landscape mode, the firefox app would only occupy part of the screen, leaving the two sides empty. It used to work fine and I don't know what made it to behave like this since I didn't touch the settings, and no other app is like this.

Firefox no longer opens up an html page when the link is in the email. The link can be opened manually. I have received email notifications that my email program does not handle html content emails. This started a couple of weeks or a month or so ago. I suspected Thunderbird was the problem so I removed it and installed the latest version. No change everything the same. So is the problem in Firefox ? As I installed Firfox with Ubuntu I need to wait on Ubuntu to fix the problem. I am having problems with my Firefox, it will not load anything that I am working on, it tells me secure connection failure, connection to this site not secure and no internet connection.

Is there a setting for New browser tabs or initial App launch? I know how to adjust zoom per tab that is loaded, but when I “open“ a new tab it’s always 100%. I prefer to see more content, thus a lower zoom such as 90% or 75%, which I can always adjust after the fact.

Is there a way of changing/removing the independence of browser windows?

Whenever I have multiple windows and close one them I cannot retrieve them, re-opening closed tabs doesn't work, since it only works on their own window.

Is there a way to change this behaviour?

All of a sudden one day my bookmarks vanished. This is annoying, but what's worse is that I'm unable to add more. I click on the little star at the top to try to save a page, and nothing happens. I go into the sidebar, try to do it there, nothing happens. I click Command D (on a Mac) to try it through the shortcut and nothing happens. I've tried signing in under different log ins to see if that's the problem, but that doesn't work either. I'm totally confused. Any help is appreciated.
