OS: Mac / 2020 Macbook Pro Thunderbird version 78.7.1 (64-bit) (most current) Provider for Google Calendar Add-on version 78.0.1 (most current)

Been having this issue for a while now - Calendar entries suddenly don't show up in the calendar tab and in the today pane.

I go into the calendar pane and click the eye shaped icon next to the google calendar I want to see, it all becomes visible again in both the calendar and today pane.

The next day it's usually gone again and I have to go in and make it visible. I don't shut down my computer or thunderbird. Calendar settings are set to "Show all calendars"

It's not a huge deal, but tedious to do every day and the whole point of having the today pane is that I'm not thinking about those things, I see them, I remember to do them. I don't always remember to refresh it and it's caused me to miss some things.

I have tried removing thunderbird and re-installing, that doesn't affect it. I have tried disconnecting/reconnecting the Google calendar, that doesn't affect it either.

I have a major problem which is making my Thunderbird calendar very difficult to use. Whenever I accept a meeting invitation or change an event, my system is sending an email to every person on the invite list as if I were creating a new meeting.

For instance, if someone invites me and 10 other people to a meeting on Monday at 10:00AM, and I click Accept, this happens: The host, the 10 other invitees, and I all receive an email saying that I am inviting them to a meeting on Monday at 10:00AM. If I delete the meeting from my calendar, this happens: The host, the 10 other invitees, and I all receive an email saying that I have cancelled the meeting. To be clear, the notices don't say that I have accepted or declined the host's meeting; the notices say that I am inviting everyone to a meeting, or that I am cancelling a meeting.

This makes it impossible for me to use the calendar as designed. I don't want to spam my clients with improper meeting notices, so I cannot accept meeting invitations; I can only put meetings into my calendar manually.

The feedback I received on that post suggests that the problem is my CalDAV server and a setting called "calendar-auto-schedule", not Thunderbird. I opened a ticket with my web host, but they wrote back that they could find no problems on their side.

I am hoping someone can help me to understand the problem and to document it so I can go back to my web host and force them to fix it. Either that, or help me to find a workaround.

Hi, I am using Thunderbird 78.8.0 including the calendar. Since a couple of months (download 78.0.0 version?), I can not drag & drop an .ics file anymore, which is attached to an email message, to the "daily schedule" view at the right side of the screen, in order to import the data into the calendar. While I am doing this, the screen "new date" is opening, without any content. Before, this way was easily working.

Instead of I have to download the file, first, and then import the file to the calendar. This way is less convenient.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Recently I've begun noticing calendar events or tasks that I had previously set up, and had been that way for several years, have begun disappearing from the calendar. Just today, events that were there two days ago, were gone today. This has happened at least 10 or more times in the last month or so, maybe longer. Each time I notice they are missing, I create a new event to replace the missing event. It's gotten to the point I can't trust that the calendar is accurate at providing reminders. Anyone got an answer that I just haven't found?

I'm having a few problems with Calendar in Thunderbird after the last update, to 78.6.0 (64-bit).

1. The list of events is blank, even though several events are on the calendar for the coming month. Image attached. If I exit Thunderbird and re-open, or select a different time frame, say one week instead of my usual 31 days, I can get the list to show up again, but clearly something is wrong.

2. Edits made to one instance of a recurring event do not "stick" - they show up when I save them, but are gone when I look at them a couple days after making them.

3. Categories applied to individual instances of recurring events disappear (which may be the same as problem #2).

When I open Tbird (version 78.7.1) and go to Calendar page the calendars are all listed but the entries are not visible. I have to click on each to "hide" (though they are already hidden in effect) then click to unhide them and they instantly appear. I have looked at help pages for Tbird and "Provider for Google Calendar" (the add-on I am using) but cannot find anything that helps me. This has been a problem for 6 months or more and it has finally driven me to ask if anyone has a solution. The calendar entries used to be immediately visible when I opened Calendar. I thought it must have been a bug and would be fixed, but not so far for me. I attach a couple of screen shots if that helps. The first is just the opening calendar screen - no entries showing. The second is the page after I have clicked on each of three calendars – twice each– once to “hide” (even though I could not see it) then again to display. I have clicked on the calendar highlighted in blue once only and you can see it has the eye with a line through it to say it is not visible. Thank you in anticipation of your advice. I think Thunderbird is a great product - ideal for me nearly all of the time.

My Mozilla Thunderbird calendar syncs with my GMail calendar and also includes some holiday dates. It has just gone completely blank - no entries from any of the calendars. I've tried synchronizing it, but it says "no messages to download". What's gone wrong? I've seen the replies to other similar questions which say go to Options Advanced but I can't see an Advanced option in my Options. Thanks.

Hi I'm using Thunderbird 78.7.1 (64 bit) on Linux Mint 20. I have a local NAS which holds the .ics calendar file so it can be accessed by both my Linux and my wife's Windows systems. Recently the Windows PC has failed to store the NAS logon user/password info even though when inputting the details again we tick the "Use password manager to save the password". As of this morning my Linux PC has started doing the same. This is NOT connected to the passwords for email addresses as the email system still works fine. After receiving an iCAL calender vent, Thunderbird Lightning/Calender shows the following error on the error console:

What is the problem? Is the problem at my side or is it caused by the calendar event generator? How to fix this problem?

When starting Tunderbird 78.7.1 (32 bits) a reminder will appear for a calendar event that is not in the calendar. It has been deleted and the reminder still appears

My google video game account invites itself in a meeting to find a job how I can remove this participant.

I accept an e-mail invite for finding a job and the computer where I have selected the "Mon agenda Personnel" (My Personal Agenda) which is link to jose.pluquet@laposte.net ask to me an authorization for open "Subzero Games 10" google e-mail account.

I accept because I think that the computer forget the pass for access to get the e-mails from this account.

But the outcome is that this account came to a job interview. :(

TB 78.8 (32 bit) in win 10 addon provider for caldav & carddav and TbSync

past due occurrence of a recurring zoom meeting keeps posting reminders every 10 minutes. Meeting was probably synced from google calendar with a notification of 10 min before. This timing is changeable in TB but reverts to original 10 min. in TB.

Local additions to TB calendar snooze and dismiss as these have always worked.

I have synchronized a shared Google calendar via https://apidata.googleusercontent.com/caldav/v2/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx@group.calendar.google.com/events in Thunderbird. This basically works fine.

But if there is a recurring event (e.g. every two weeks on Wednesday) and someone moves a single one of those events e.g. from Wednesday to Thursday via her/his Google Calendar app on Android smartphone, this single event will still show in Thunderbird on Wednesday instead of Thursday. While it shows on Thursday in Google Calender app or on calendar.google.com (see Screenshots).

What can be done to show the event on the correct date in Thunderbird calendar, too?

(This is no synchronization problem, other events added later are shown in Thunderbird.)

I have just migrated my caldav calendar from synology webdav server app to the synology calendar app. No problems connecting and synchronizing, other than each time I snooze a calendar entry a new alert is added to the calendar entry. For example, the calendar event is created with 1 alert 15 min before the event; after I snooze the event the first time in Thunderbird the calendar event is updated then shows two reminders 15 min before the event, the second time it is snoozed then four reminders appear, etc. I'm not sure whether this is an issue on the Tbird side, or the Synology App side. Didn't have this problem when running it through the webdav server app. Nor does it appear to be a problem with old recurring calendar entries that were imported when I imported the calendar; it only seems to happen on new calendar entries. Anyone experience the same issue?

Events are currently displayed in the calendar & Today Pane with the corresponding calendar color filling the event banner and the category color only showing as a small sliver on the right side of the banner. Is there a way to reverse this display? I would prefer the event banner to be the category color with the calendar color as a small sliver. Screenshots attached.

When I get an invitation to a Microsoft Teams meeting, the link to the meeting does not show. Is this something being addressed on the Thunderbird side?

I can tell from this thread (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/unable-to-join-teams-meeting-via-emails-received-in-my/m-p/1924185) at MS that this is a problem for others and it can be solved by viewing the source in the email.

Unfortunately, it is inconvenient to save the file and open it in another format just to get the link.

Is there a way to view the source or link easily or another solution to this bug?

google calendar provider does not work anymore with TB 78.7.1 - more than 250.000 users depend on it. not a single word or a warning before an auto update - that sucks. is there any solution or are all these users now swimming in nowhere. if using TB professional way there has got to be a way and or a solution provided by Mozilla for not letting their user being stranded again and again because this is a crucially function for almost every android user and this is not the first time happening. i cant even find a download possibility to an older version to get my stuff working again. that really really sucks - who needs newest stuff if functionality and usability is not given anymore?
