What messages are you getting ? Are you talking about e-mails in Thunderbird ?

Yes, emails are being reposted to me form days before. I have received some as many as 4 times now.

I am receiving emails in Thunderbird 4 or more times so far. Some have been from 8 days ago that I keep getting another copy.

try disabling email scanning in your anti virus program and allow a complete mail download cycle (say 30 minutes) to complete at least before re enabling it.
