I am having problems with my server email not being emptied when I download my email with Thunderbird.

Chosen solution

There is a setting in Thunderbird Account Settings > Server Settings in an account to leave messages on server. Make sure that box is unchecked.

Make sure your syncing Thunderbird with email server, once you delete your email in thunderbird it deletes from email server also.

Are you using POP3 or IMAP?

Yes, I am using POP3. I'm wondering if there is a setting I'm missing that tells my server to erase the email there, once sent.
