Where is the "search" button on Thunderbird 3? I need to look back at several old emails and cannot find them and there is no search box on my version of Thunderbird.

Hi, I have read these informative articles, but they say to highlight a phrase or something from an email. I can't find the email...thus the need for a search. Thanks anyway. My old Thunderbird had a nice easy "Search" box.
